I have bought goods from Amazon for some 5 years and in several different countries and I have always found there to be very good service. You can read reviews on products and on different suppliers and there is usually a very good range of products with good value prices. I usually have a pretty good experience with Amazon. Every now and again they are unable to fulfill an item in my order, but thankfully that doesn't happen too often. On the other hand, they have never gotten my order wrong and my stuff is usually sent in a timely manner. I have never had to contact customer service. I am well pleased and will continue to order from Amazon.
One of the websites AMAZON advertised cheated me out of $105. AMAZON not only didn't care, but didn't want to collect any info about this co. So, this company can continue to rip off an untold number of customers and AMAZON will continue to let them advertise on their site.

I saw the bad reviews, but the Canon SX210 seemed like an awesome deal. Never got the camera, all of the run-arounds like you've read from the other customers. The refused to refund my money and stated that I would have to get my money back from the credit card company. That sometimes takes weeks and I was only trying to get a camera to go on vacation and didn't have much time. Luckily, paypal got my hard-earned money back and I was able to purchase the camera elsewhere from a reputable, authorized Canon dealer... STAY AWAY FROM PRIMO!
I've been shopping on Amazon for 5 years now. Only a couple of sales went badly, but on both occasions, Amazon stepped in themselves, and made them right. Great, prompt customer service. I am very leary of shopping sites, but Amazon is the best.

I have used Amazon for years - and I have no major complaints. It's an OK site and usually the prices are very competative. Nothing is perfect but Amazon is near enough for me. I've been using it for long enough to know that any complaints I read are - presumably - few and far between - otherwise, given the amount I buy, I would have experienced at least some problems by now. The review system - maybe started by Amazon? - seems to concentrate seller's minds and also gives buyers a pretty accurate insight into a product's worth - providing you are sophisticated enough to detect false or misleading posts.
But I'm also confused now. I went to this review posting to check my preconceptions that Amazon would have rave reviews and I have seen a few damning ones. So am I right to be turned off by a few damning reviews I've just read about Buyaparcel.com? Now I don't know what to do about them...

Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
