You can buy just about anything on Amazon and get great service. The prices are generally terrific and the order tracking process is great. Customer service is there 24/7. This is one of the shopping sites we have had great experiences buying through. They are really just terrific and I recommend them to all out there.
I have never had any trouble with any Amazon transaction. I will be doing a lot of Christmas shopping here again this year

Ordered an item of clothing. The item that arrived was labelled as the size I requested, but was at least two sizes too small. Must have been mislabeled. Amazon refunded all costs, including shipping both ways and, since the item crossed the US/Canada border, the brokerage/customs fees. They also did the refunds quickly.

I had purchased from them for the last 12 years and had no problem. However, I recently bought an electronic item and needed it returned. Amazon sided with the seller. The seller agreed to the return, e-mailed me that it received the item back and refused to refund money. Amazon knew this, had Post Office Delivery proof, and only sent protected e-mails to the seller. When this didn't work, Amazon refused to help me.
On my own I had to find out Sellers address and phone number and contact them. They claimed I wasn't in their system at all and never heard of the company that shipped it. I told them the 3 names the Corporation was registered as being under, the two addresses, and the Presidents' name. I told them I would be contacting the State Attorney's Office for fraud, US mail order fraud, and credit card fraud, etc. They hung up on me. The next day Amazon credited my charge. I will never use Amazon again. They still allow this company to sell on their site knowing they are frauds.
I love Amazon.com! You can find almost everything on this website. Price is very competitive. Shipping is extremely fast and return is so easy. Love this website.

Amazon may be a great place to buy as a prime member, but the message boards are really poor to discuss in. With the "Do you think this post adds to the discussion" feature makes it an useless system wherever you go. It is the only system for their forums, but some kids had to abuse it just to make a fool out of themselves. Most forums don't have that feature.
Other than that, I was thinking of getting a fighting pad controller for the PS3. However, they ran out and it costs more than $35 to get it from... United Kingdom. Some prices of the products the other sellers handed out are more than their original prices. It's unbelievable to have Gears of War on the PC being sold secondhand for $33 on Amazon compared to $20 on Windows Games Live Marketplace.
What's good for me is the prime membership. They may give me free shipping, but I'm still furious with the warehouse deals selling a game "like new" for $33. Seriously, Jeff Bezos sold me the Kindle Fire, then trying to sell people with the HD version and now he wants to compete against Apple for a Kindle smartphone? He makes me laugh to ever think of going against the big two of the computer industry. They don't have a lot apps, but I'm sure they're a waste. I'm giving it a 3/5. The prime membership may be strong, but the customer services mentioned by others along with the buyers/sellers community are weak. I suggest not go to the discussion boards.
Easy to use, easy to get free shipping, and generally very good prices. Hard to find something wrong with this site, though I'm sure some individual bad experiences are out there. Not paying tax is pretty cool too! Though I hear that is going to be nixed by uncle Sam before long.

The most reliable online store I have ever purchased. You can find it absolutely everything you can imagine on it at very reasonable prices. The sellers are very interesting to make their best because they realize the importance of Amazon business to their online business.
I absolutely love amazon.com. The total ordering online and delivery is hard to beat. Amazon.com has great customer service and stands by their buyers. Their website is easy to navigate and they carry everything. A bit disappointed that they are collecting sales tax now on online orders in Texas, but it still does not lead me to ordering anywhere else.

It's a hit and miss. You can find almost anything, but when you start digging deeper, usually just a few models are available - not as many choices as on sites that specialize in a certain niche. Prices are good, but you can get better if you contact vendors that list their products on Amazon - just contact them directly through their own sites.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
