I bought this as a Christmas present for my fiance who likes modern furniture. I received the item and upon unpacking it, it seemed as though it had already been unpacked. The box was tattered and the packing tape had been retaped. Once I opened the product, I inspected it and found the underside fabric was torn where there was a piece of the wood frame supporting the center. It was not a large tear but it was a tear never-the-less. I decided that it was likely a used product sent by mistake so I repacked it immediately. Given that Christmas was a few days away, I went to a local furniture shop and found something similar to buy in time for Christmas.
I bought the product because it was on Amazon so I felt comfortable. I do understand Amazon uses 3rd party sellers and the return policy for this seller seemed straight-forward: if the product is damaged, they buyer can return it for a full refund. The seller has been trying to get the 15% restocking fee from the beginning of my communication with them. I dont think I should have to pay $100+ to them because they sent me a used product by mistake. They are claiming that there is no tear on the bottom fabric but that is absolutely not true and I am surprised they would blatantly lie like that. They have even sent me photos they took upon return of the product and the tear is shown (again, it is not big, but it is there and it is something I would consider as damage and would buy off a classified bulletin board).
At this point, I have requested them to refund me 100% of what I paid and I have disputed the charge through my credit card issuing bank. Stores123 have not replied to me with any message indicating they will provide me a 100% refund. They have offered to send me the product back (which I clearly do not want) or to pay a 15% restocking fee. I really feel extorted here as they are in clear violation of their return policy.
I have been buying from Amazon for years now and never had a bad experience as long as my merchandise was sold and shipped by Amazon and not one of their sellers. Not to say the sellers are all bad but Autopro jacked me for a Linkin Park Cd I ordered. He claimed it was autographed by Chester Bennington and it was supposed to be a collector's item. He also claimed to have one left. The day after I ordered this CD Autopro listed this same CD (Not yet released by the band) as having 4 in stock and the price went up. They were no longer collectors items and none were autographed. I never did get the cd but Amazon was very good about returning my money. I can't say that about paypal.
So far i have ordered 3 times and everything has been good but with a little work i think they can improve to get that fifth star
It all depends on your seller. If you get a good seller, the items will come quick. Although sometimes things are a TADDD bit overpriced! In my experience, Things have always come quick and without complications. Again! Depends on seller... But always read seller and item reviews first.

I realy like amazon,, if a seller sends you a bad prod, or your order gets damage in shipping,, amazon takes care of it and will take care of it fast,,, don't like to wait on shipping join amazon prime and with prime you get a lot of things not just two day shipping,,
Amazon.com is one of the best online companies out there. Their user account ordering pages and save items to a cart for later use is terrific. I had used them for years now. Delivery is lightening fast and if they sold the product, they stand behind it. My personal information has never been breached and I have had many pleasant and successful transactions with Amazon.com.

When I looked to see how many items I have bought on Amazon I couldn't believe the number was in the thousands. As a busy working mother, the ability to buy products I'm familiar with cheaper and with free shipping is an invaluable asset. I am a Prime member which is well worth the $70 investment. I did have a problem with a purchase that was fulfilled by an outside supplier and when they failed to return my messages, Amazon stepped right in to mitigate. I could not be happier with the ease that Amazon has brought into my life!
I used to shy away from Amazon.com but have used them more and more in the last year. They ship almost immediately and I have Prime delivery (free 2 day) because I am linked to a friend's account who pays for it. However, I have gotten my dad to order and even he was stunned at the speed of their normal delivery. Now, I go to Amazon, I make sure their price is low (normally is) and away I go. I also highly recommend their Amazon Store Card. No interest on larger purchases... perfect!
I was looking to send my parents a care package of particular food items which can be expensive to order online. I do most of my online shopping through Amazon but with food in particular the best prices cannot always be found there for popular brands. I found soap.com through a Google search for a particular food item. They were offering free shipping for orders more than $25.00 and I had planned on spending at least that much anyway. Since the prices they offered on the products I had been looking for were even better than I could find at my local store it was not difficult to spend my money there. Checkout was easy and I noticed they had several departments on their site that all had various names and sold different types of things from food to toys to household items. I cannot comment on prices of other goods they sell or quality since I didn't order anything but food items, but I can say that I noticed you're able to put things from the various stores (departments) into one cart for checkout which is convenient. The package was shipped right away and my parents received it within one week and that was with the free standard shipping so I was happy. I did not personally see how the contents of the package arrived since my parents live in another state but they seemed pleased and made no comment otherwise. I intend to order again from this company for myself since this experience went so well.

Lots of items to choose from, excellent selection. Nice that even though I ordered things at different times in the day they were packaged together and delivered at the same time. Delivery time could be a bit quicker though.
Amazon offers thousands of products sold by both Amazon and independent sellers. I have had an account with them for several years and ordered my fair share of DVDs, games and office stationary which have all been received with no problems at all. Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
