I haven't had great experiences with Amazon - extra shipping costs added on with no warning etc - and now after all I've heard about their ethics, the Goodreads link/censoring and the accusations of bullying smaller companies and their poor working conditions, I'll never buy from there again.
I like Amazon. I bought a watch from amazon.com 2 weeks ago, fast delivery and nice price, their reviews are helpful too.
I have ordered all sorts of items from Amazon over a period of several years, and have never experienced even one problem--with the products or the shipping and customer service. In fact, on an item I ordered earlier this month, when I went back to write a review, the product was $20 less than I had paid a couple of weeks before. When I contacted customer service, they willing offered and speedily refunded me $20! Now that's what I call good customer service!
I highly recommend Amazon!
I LOVE LOVE Amazon. The purchasing process is simple and I love the Prime service. There is no negatives!
Amazon.com is pretty good. I try to minimize or avoid s&h, unfortunately this only applies to items "sold and shipped by amazon. They also have customer's with good deals, but beware, amazon is not responsible for certain things. You must contact the seller directly through amazon.com (which is good because the seller doesn't really know you). The only problems I had was with the clients are from guess? CHINA... delays... language problems unsatisfactory product. I do recommend Amazon.com just beware of where you item is coming from. Never had a problem with Amazon products.
Great price, but I am now being told the item will not be delivered until WAY after the expected delivery date. I ordered 9 days ago, with the expected delivery date being today. I called the shipper, because their website was unable to provide tracking info, to find out when my package would be here. They told me it hasn't even been entered into their system yet, 9 DAYS LATER, and I that I should call the diapers.com. When I called, she kept saying that when I purchased I was told it would be 1-2 weeks. Right, then your website updated when the item was supposedly shipped stating delivery should be expected for today, slightly over a week. Made sense. But now diapers.com are blaming the manufacturer and the shipper, saying they don't know why the item is marked as shipped or when it will be here because "that company is hard to track". Essentially they don't know where it is or when to expect it. I am frustrated with their shipping procedure and their customer service, or lack thereof. I should have ordered through Amazon and paid $18.00 more to have it delivered through a traditional carrier in 2 days. Now I can't even get a refund because I was told they have no idea where it is or how long it would take to get back to them PLUS the 7-10 days for them to process it to get me a refund. I have ordered through diapers.com several times before and have had mostly good experiences with the shipping, less 2 other packages, hence the 2 star review.
I have ordered an inordinate amount from Amazon. Everything has been delivered on time and if I had any problems with the merchandise, Amazon Customer Service was always great. Unlike some other websites, Amazon solicits honest customer feedback and they publish the good along with the not-so-good. I find it a slap in the face for online merchants to publish only the good reviews because it is so unfair to people who want to read the good and the bad so they can make informed decisions.
Purchased a lot of items for myself as well as gifts for friends and family. Very reliable and fast service.
Amazon for sellers-- stay the f away: they lure you in and take or hold your money without notice, through their bad and malicious policies: they close your account at will or Arbitrarily -- while they let you sell products but you cannot claim your money nor would they let you log in to question their decision: their policy is from 90 days-- unlimited-- you have no access to your money and evidently never again you see a f dime if they find out something undesirable or simply off with your products or listings. They can pick on anything you list even if it is within the parameter of the concept of selling. I was going to sue them had it not been for the worst exchange of vile emails with them to get my money back they have on hold for over 2 months-- till I eventually got it. Story short-- I started selling and the customers were happy but amazon wants me to upgrade to a higher plan and I refused, so what I did I listed my items in a way that they did not like, and they closed my account without notice by telling me that I still can sell but without pay because I am on probation ''- mf capitalists have ruined the planet with their outsourcing and insatiable greed, made in china by child / slave labor. I TOLD THEM if you are not going to release my money I will sue you you f scumbags-- Stay the f away. This is why the world is in a mess because of lawful criminals and people who do not stand up for their rights. Capitalists use us as disposable properties.
I can find nearly everything I need on Amazon and with the Prime membership, I never pay shipping. I purchase all my Christmas gifts and wrap them as they are delivered. Saves me aggravation of trying to find what I am looking for and even large items are delivered to my front door with FREE shipping. This is such a handy service I am now buying all my paper towels, toilet paper and tissues through the service. The paper products are on automatic ship, so I am never out plus if I need to changed shipping date I can. What is not to love?
Don't get me wrong, I love amazon. But they don't have any customer service. None. How do you even get in touch with them?!
I use Amazon to buy things at least once a month.
Never had negative experience, once my parcel was late but it was not their fault.
The only thing that needs improving is they need even more stuff IMO.
I am a Prime member. Absolutely love Amazon. They just get it!
We order almost everything from amazon. Only once the post lost our package but amazon paid all the money back and offered a great compensation to make up for our disappointment and sent a replacement product for free.
I ordered from Amazon 76 times in the past 4 years. I purchased all kinds of stuff - electronics (computer, mouse, keyboard, headphones, webcam, bluray writer, USB flash, external HDD storage.), paper books, cosmetics, toys, shoes, accessories, jewelry and even bigger stuff like travelling luggage.
I never had any kind of problem, not even once that I would be dissatisfied. Of course there happened to be issues, e.g. the computer mouse stopped working or I didn't receive some item in a period of time (I am sure the guard stole it or the delivery man lost it), and in those cases Amazon is always on the buyer's side. You return it for a reason or ask for refund for not-delivered item. Amazon's A-Z Guarantee always resolves problems in the best way.
The only thing you have to be careful about is the seller you're choosing to buy from. I am very picky and attentive in such matters, probably that's why my risk is at the minimum. Pay attention to the available photos of the product, product description, product location and certainly reviews and seller rating.
And surely you must familiarize yourself with rules of Amazon before you get in the game (e.g. Shipping Address cannot be changed after the item has been marked as Shipped), but that's what you signed for when you were agreeing to Terms and Conditions!
12 years and counting. Excellence non-pareil in all areas. As another reviewer said, "I only go to anther site when I can't find what I need at Amazon."
I love, love love Amazon. If you purchase a lot through them it's worth getting Amazon Prime for the free shipping and movies. If you have a student email, you can get that half off which is prefect for ordering your textbooks and Christmas!
I only had one semi bad experience on Amazon and it could have been the sellers deceit... I attempted to purchase an old video game but the seller sent me a piece of paper from the case (seriously.?) and when I checked my order again, it still showed that I was purchasing the video game. Seller issues are sometimes handled by Amazon and although this wasn't entirely the case, Amazon did refund my money. And yes, I returned the lame video game insert.
I love Amazon for the free shipping, the ease of purchasing (dangerously easy), the trust that I have that I will always get what I order, and the movies/tv shows (especially since they made that deal and now we get all the HBO shows)!
Highly recommended! <3
I know this is a given but this site has been a central part of my life for years. Prime is amazing and i love being able to get almost anything i want for cheaper then i would get it in the store with a click of a button.
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
