I rarely have an issue in ordering from Amazon and hold a Prime membership and love it. Recently I ordered a bag of dog food and paid $10 extra for overnight shipping because I needed it ASAP. After waiting two days with no food delivered and no update to the shipping I wrote an email to customer service asking for assistance. They replied quickly with an email that was not a canned response. The agent investigate with the shipper and found out the delay, refunded the extra shipping cost and then followed up the next day to make certain the food arrived. It was the perfect response in that situation and showed a willingness to go above and beyond to please a customer.
I simply love Amazon. I have purchased a variety of items from several "individuals" and they have come by promised due date or before. Great prices, Amazon local has the best deals for my hometown area.
I ordered lipstick. Received wrong color( same number as I wanted) bad smell, bad packaging. I was very disappointed to say the least!

I have been shopping with amazon for over 2 years. I always get my purchase in a timely manner. Disputes are handled accordingly and professionally. I have never had issues with their merchandise, it has always been authentic. I love them and am placing an order as I speak.

In 2014- based on the advertisement-and my conversation with their customer service representative- I bought from Amazon- a 10 inch foam mattress- made by Sleep Well.
I was deployed for active military duty-and upon my return- I attempted to buy a frame.
I was now told that any frame I bought-would require a wooden plywood-to be placed between the frame and mattress- to ensure the warranty- and not injure the sleeper. I contacted Amazon- and after they read the advertisement- we filed an A-Z Complaint. I never heard from anyone- besides my refund was denied. Meanwhile I spoke to Sleep Well-and under the circumstances they were sending me a replacement mattress. Amazon wrote me a thank you letter- and was sending it up via Corporate- because any frame sold by Amazon-made by Olee-Zanus etc- approximately 100 frames- are all falsely advertised- and all require that plywood board to be paced on the frame- this is no-where mentioned in any of their ads- so all 100 advertisements for these frames would have to be revised.
Meanwhile A-Z without talking to me about anything denied my claim- even though Sleep Well was willing to replace the damaged mattress. At no charge.
I asked Amazon to compensate me-for all the time-aggravation-and work that I performed- that permitted their organization to send this information up the ladder to Corporate-so that all these bed frames would have to be revised and corrected.
I asked for compensation-for all my time and work- in the form of a metal frame-that holds a box spring- as to ensure the 10 year warranty of the mattress. After being put on hold for over 1 hour- so Indian Supervisor came back- and was rather rude- and objected in doing anything besides denying my claim.
I have forwarded all these letters to Mr. Bezos- of course I don't expect him to respond- but possibly one of his subordinates after reading this fiasco- would make things right.
In the last year- the Amazon catch phrase has become- if your not happy- return the product-and we shall provide you with a full refund. Great business practice. Must be nice when you are a monopoly.

Amazon Prime repackaging was sloppy. Couldn't order two sets of towels at once. Had to order separately. Came in two separate boxes on two different days. However the towels were exactly as described! Beautiful, plush, egyptian cotton.

I love all the great products, but most of the time, when I attempt to buy, a message pops up saying "this product is unable to ship to your location". Rediculous in the 21st century. So even though I love amazon, I hate it to.

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
