Seems to be a lot of griping from people who don't understand how to read the fine print and use common sense. This is basically a store card/loyalty card Visa like many retailers offer. That being said, the interest rates are always high on these types of cards. Deal with it. Don't carry a balance. "Instant" credit approval is assumed if there is nothing in your account that needs reviewing. If you need the $30/$50 immediately to make your purchase, maybe you should rethink what you are buying. If you're getting this card, I'll bet you'll buy something from Amazon again and be able to use that gift card before long anyway.
I've been using diapers.com and their sister companies since my first child was born, and I've always gotten everything I need from them. Their customer support is top notch, and I refer all my friends to them!

The 3 points only applies to Amazon.com purchases (plus a few other categories on Amazon.com, see below). Because so much of the merchandise on Amazon's site is not from "Amazon.com", but from affiliated and third party sellers, you may find that many of your purchases made on Amazon.com aren't really "Amazon.com" and therefore don't actually qualify for the 3 points. For instance, if you see items sold by Amazon Marketplace (which is common), beware, you'll just receive 1 point per dollar spent. I was so disappointed because the fine print (pasted below) isn't explicit about this, so I feel a little misled.

I like its buyer protection program and its emphasiz on fast shipping. For example I ordered some batteries for my camera one morning and they arrived in next days post!

I love being able to find products easily, and at a good price. I can literally get anything I need delivered right to my door! From movies and games to TV's and entertainment devices, and even food and supplies.

Had a bad experience going through a Best Buy store looking for a computer, decided to try online and I am now a life-long Amazon user! Scored a super great deal and my computer is sitting pretty in my den 2 weeks ahead of estimated delivery date! Couldn't have been better!
This actually is a very good website for purchases. You have to remember you're buying from independent sellers (unless is specifically states it's an Amazon purchase). This site keeps track of your purchases and your account, it makes everything so much easier for the shopper. When I can't remember what I purchased 6 months ago and I want to refill the same order I just go into my account and it keeps it all there for me.
My many experiences with Amazon have been nothing but GREAT! I order from Amazon frequently and am almost always happy with the product. However, on the few times I was not I received my money back instantly, before even returning the product.

Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
