I couldn't live without Amazon. I buy anything I can online on their site. Best website construction in the world. I wish all retail websites were as easy to navigate as Amazon.com. Customer service is usually terrific unless you get India. If you get India hang up and try again or you'll be on the phone for a half hour while they check with their supervisors for everything. The best customer service people are the Kindle reps. They really know their stuff and are able to give refunds and credits without a lot of rigamorale. Great job Jeff Bezzos!

Amazon is my favorite site to shop for books. Amazon has a lot more merchadise then just books; however, when it comes to books, you will not find a site that has a bigger selection to choose from than Amazon. You can find brand new books that have never been opened or if you are looking to find a good deal and don't really care about the physical quality, you can find used books on this site as well. I have also purchased, cd's and other electronics on this site as well. In addition to buying, this site also allows the user to sell merchandise as well to make some extra cash.
I use Amazon for just about everything. I've already spent over $40,000 this year on everything from groceries to Lawn Mowers and appliances. Plus, I'm an amazon seller. Not a huge fan of their seller fees

You've changed. I miss who you used to be when you were young and insecure with your place in this world. Back when you refused to chase after others, but preferred to "innovate ahead" of them. We all got so used to your prices being the lowest, back when you'd undercut everyone, even to the detriment of your own balance sheets. You were such a risk-taker.
But you've long secured your place at the top of the e-commerce food chain, and your price points are creeping steadily upward as you continue to eat yourself. You're finding new ways to manipulate us into spending more in order to get free 2-day shipping. You've rolled out highly complex subscription programs that confuse and befuddle. You're trying to be Saks and Google and Apple and Netflix, etc. all at once. But you've never been that cool, nor will you be.
I'll never buy your fancy clothes, nor your failed smart phone (although if the price drops any further, I might pick one up as a toy for my 5-year-old nephew). But I will admit, with impunity, you're the first place I go when I know exactly what I need and I need it within 2 days.
Sorry for using you for your cheap and fast shipping. Sorry if I've reduced you to a booty call. Hope we can still see each other when it's right for both of us.

Rent your text books from Amazon! It saves hundreds a semester and they are really good about getting it to you on time. I've never had a problem Amazon didn't promptly fix with any purchase.

We are continually impressed with Amazon's ability to provide stellar customer service and their Prime systems are a great value to all of us that shop online on a regular basis. We always go to the Amazon site first to see what they charge to gauge deals others are offering. We've seen people trying to sell used stuff on Craigslist for more than buying a new one would cost on Amazon! Even if you don't shop at Amazon, just them being there with their low prices, great customer service and Prime shipping, has forced other online and brick and mortar retailers to lower their prices or up their act, so kudos to them for that, if nothing else!
All this having been said, they have one nagging and frustrating unacceptable issue. If you place a lot of orders they start combining them and shipping them separately and then charges with mystery dollar amounts start showing on your charge card statement that don't show up in your order history. So, then you have to call them and they explain that these two orders were combined or we did this and that and we're sorry they don't show up in your order history as they do on your credit card statement. This needs fixing! Just give me every order you charged to my credit card in my order history AS YOU CHARGED THEM so I can easily scroll through and check them off when my credit card bill arrives. PLEASE fix this Amazon - everything else is awesome!
Been ordering from them for years and I got nothing but good things to say like my Sony headphones they were amazing and paid almost 90% less then retail value.

Mostly I like their online books category I allows me a lot of choices of books at affordable prices.

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
