I have been ordering from Amazon for about 5 years and I have had one problem with a misdirected delivery. Amazon was extremely quick to response to the issue and I had another delivery of the same merchandise delivered within 2 days! No over questioning just an apology and another order was at my door step just like that! Want more? Take it a step further and get Prime with a bunch of goodies too! Better delivery options, instant movie videos and music downloads just to name a few. Thank you again Amazon
Amazon seems to do well at everything they attempt. Absolutely love them!
Well, I was asked to write a review of Amazon. Honestly, I have never had any bad experiences. I usually go to Ebates first and try to get extra discounts and then I go to Amazon and just type in what I am looking for and I usually find it. It is really convenient, since I live in such a remote area. The items usually arrive within a couple days. I have bought numerous items from Amazon. I have bought quite a few books from Amazon, cd's, clothes, homemade soap, vitamins, a juicer and I even found a part for my Kirby vacuum cleaner. I was pulling the Kirby and I broke off the "hose end". I was calling around to try to find a replacement. Many of the vacuum cleaner stores were closed and I am going frantic. I found the model number on the Kirby and researched it on Amazon and found it! What a life saver! And it was delivered in only a couple days. I have been well pleased with all of the items I have bought from Amazon and no problems with customer service.
For many years, I bought books through Amazon with no complaints whatsoever. However, in 2010, I bought two dictionaries, one for me and one for my daughter (who was living in NZ). For whatever reason, neither of them arrived. I sent emails to Amazon, but failed to get answers or explanations. After two months, I phoned the company (international call) and complained about it once more. Yet, no action was taken and my money was not refunded. End of story. End of my love affair with Amazon. Amazon.com may be excellent inside the USA; abroad, it’s a totally different story.
Order Kcups, electronics, personal items. Always a good selection of vendors with good prices. They keep you informed on the status of the order and when it should arrive.
Love this site. You can almost always find what you're looking for and, if you're a Prime member, get many of the items in 2 days. Well worth the $99 per year.
Amazon is a good reliable online place to shop. I never bought from Amazon myself even though I have many frands that have. And alwsys with posative results. The reason I do not shp there is that I refuse to buy from any website that does not have paypal has a payment option. Why take the change with online hackers. After all money is not easy to come by.

If I am not buying from Amazon then I check prices on the site.
I like the fact that usually I can get 'free' postage and packing and that returns are simple. An ability to contact sellers is also good.
I have found it a reliable site and have shopped here for years.
Online this is where I go. Ever have a problem. They solve it immediately. I highly recommend
I always compare prices on Amazon before buying. The best is their customer satisfaction policy. I have had no problems till date. Using Amazon for 10+years
Does ANYONE at Amazon read reviews? Not talking about the positive ones about products... am speaking of the probably TRUE ones about products... the ones that the reviewer isn't given perks for reviewing. Seriously, this is shameful. Seems as though shams and lies are just fine with you guys. Sad for those that put their trust in you. It'll catch up with you. It always does.
I have ordered quite a lot of things on amazon. I can find ANYTHING on this site, so I don't have to spend hours trying to find a certain item.
Im impressed with Amazon and their one click buying makes purchasing easy!
I've been shopping at Amazon for several years now and really have very few complaints. The one or two complaints I've had had to do with packaging. Other than that shipping is fast, and reliable. You can find anything which saves on time and gasoline. I will continue to shop there until another company can do better. Amazon Prime($100 per year) is a pretty good deal too. Plenty of 'Prime' products with free shipping and a lot of free multimedia to stream.
I wish I had seen this site prior to ordering from them. Overnight delivery is not guaranteed and now my shipment is three days late. You can't rely on them to deliver on time, and customer service will only send you a form letter and not address your concerns, even upon repeated complaints. I will never use them again. Their prices are higher than buying it at the store, and if I'm not paying for convenience, there is no reason to use this company. Amazon prime is my go to service for everything!
I purchased 12 jars of spaghetti sauce that is notoriously difficult to find from them. The soap.com website had 12 of them available, and so I bought them all. Here is what happened: The order shipped; suddenly the tracking says the order is no longer on the way, but going back to the shipper because it was damaged (it looks totally possible this was a lie); I get an email from soap.com that says they cannot replace the items, but that they will send me 7 of the original 12 I ordered (where did those 7 come from?); I got a refund for 5, and two different tracking numbers for packages with supposedly 3 jars in one, and 4 jars in the other, both coming from somewhere else other than soap.com; I got both boxes, but each with only 3 jars. I email soap.com customer service and explain in very detailed terms that I have paid for 7 jars, but only got 6; their CS rep emailed back and tried to con me into thinking that I already got a refund, forcing me in a position to either let them keep the money, or email back and kind of be a jerk in order to get the refund (which I did). And lastly, when I go back to their website, there is the sauce right there, in stock and available, but for $2.30 more a jar. I have my receipt, when it was $7.99 a jar, it becomes impossible to deliver and they try to scam you into paying for more jars than they send you, but it's no problem to order when it's $10.29 a jar.
When you search for an item, you can waste hours finding what you want, because there is no policing of the rules. You can get literally thousands of hits that have nothing to do with the keywords you entered. In order to search by price, you must select one of Amazon's often pointlessly similar categories. Then, often, you will get literally thousands of entries that are identical. For many items, you will get thousands of entries that have price $0.01, accompanied by shipping costs of, for example, $10.00. This makes searching by price futile. If you want to skip over these thousands of rule violators, you can't do it because Amazon only lets you skip ahead 2 pages. (Not only that, but they won't let you see more than 25 items per page.) They ought to let you enter the number of the page you want to visit next.
I have complained to Amazon numerous times about this, pointing out that the experience at their competitor Ebay, for example, is much better. I have threatened to file criminal complaints against them for being a nuisance. They don't care. The next step would be to be to get millions of Amazon visitors to file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general, requesting that Amazon be declared a public nuisance and a public health nuisance, and requiring Amazon to meet reasonable and customary standards before transacting any further business.
Love the reviews and return policy. We have prime and get free shipping. I save a lot of time and money by just shopping from home.
Was very sly in the way that they got me to sign up for prime, turns out none of the content was available in my country.
Have bought many stuff there, health and beauty, electronics, any thing. Good CS and just a great online site!
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
