When you figure the time and money required to shop in person, prices at Amazon are EXTREMELY competitive, but what cinches the deal is their customer service.
When I ordered disposable bakeware, they shipped a package of 2 instead of 4 packages of 2. When I asked for the rest, they sent me a full refund. When I ordered 20 pounds of Basmati rice at an exceptional price, and got 10 pounds, they gave me a choice of getting a second 10-pound bag, or a 50% refund.
Anybody can make a mistake, including Amazon, but Amazon is quick to make it right, no quibbling, often giving the customer more than he asked for. I wish Amazon were running for President!

Alright, what can I say that most folks don't already know. Amazon.com is an amazing website backed by awesome customer service. The best way to appreciate the full benefits of Amazon is to become a "Prime" member for $99 a year. Trust me, the money that you save from the free 2-day shipping benefit alone will add up to over the cost of the membership if you are a frequent online shopper.

There are also other benefits of "Prime" such as starting a music library from their online music collection, getting a choice of a free e-book every month, getting a preview of deals before they start, unlimited video streaming of "Prime" movies and TV series. There is something for everyone and it can be shared with members in the same household (at least the free shipping part can). UPDATE: You can share your entire Kindle library to an adult member in your house that owns a Kindle.

If you ever need to return something, you can print the return label from your computer and just drop your package off at a UPS store. The credit back to your account is usually very quick. Like I said, great customer service!

Amazon isn't just a place to shop online, it is a resource. I used it research products, and I rely on the reviews of books, which represent individual and independent opinion. Yes, there are a lot of reviews that are just stupid, but if you read the critically, there is a lot to be learned. When I look at a book the first thing that I do is to look at the one-star reviews. If all the bad reviews are ideologically motivated, that is a reason to take the better reviews seriously. If the bad reviews are well thought-out, detailed, and carefully reasoned, then all the predictable rave reviews are probably mere fluff.

Really isn't any competition. Amazon prime is great if you can afford it and worth it if you order often from amazon.

I've had some issues over the years, but time and again, Amazon has been awesome.

Its a big deal to me to enter a contest, but when you do with Amazon. Com its like they get your info, say they don't sell it well they do something with it when, someone calls ya 3-4 per week, and you ask them where they got your number and some of them will tell you oh Amazon, when you enter a contest then they share info.so just giving heads up even Amazon lies, to get what they want, guess that's how they got their Billion dollar business huh. I'm so done with cramp like that. I don't have much but I worked for what I do have and not giving it away with free info for Amazon they Lie
