I have made countless purchases from Amazon and they are just great! I have always received everything as it said, within the listed time if not before! They have good prices and I'm always happy and confident when making purchases from them. Never been let down! I will definitely continue to buy things from Amazon!
Over the last calendar year I have purchased 3 "new" laptop computers from Amazon. Over the last calendar year I have returned 3 "new" laptop computers to Amazon! These were sold under Amazon's Brand, by third party sellers, which in my opinion still makes Amazon totally responsible, although they unsuccessfully tried to "pass the buck" to the sellers. The first 2 laptops were defective out of the box, I received the last one without an activated windows 10 operating system! And to add insult to injury, I had to wait over 2 weeks for refunds and I'm still waiting for my $803.09 refund for the last return. I finally ended up going to a Staples store and purchasing a Toshiba Satellite laptop in person, which I am very satisfied with. One thing is for sure, after I receive my refund, my shopping days at Amazon are over!
Pretty much when we are looking for just about anything to buy we go to Amazon first. Their selection on everything is huge. Their prices are good and being a member of Prime we get many things in two days. This really came in handy around Christmas time. In the old days years ago we started buying books from Amazon. Now just everything except really large items. I'd recommend Amazon to everyone to at least to get prices to compare other sites with.

Birthdays and Christmas present shopping is actually fun with Amazon. No lines and no wasted trips to the store to find the shelf empty. With the free shipping and easy returns, I totally advise friends and family to get on board with either a student Amazon Prime membership or the regular Amazon Prime. The free movies and music is totally worth the price of membership alone!
Every time I order from amazon its speedy shipping I recently orderd a dress for a social function and when it arrived oh my a shear of excellence perfect fit smooth to the touch vibrant color my dream of elegance love it thanks amazon and these sellers for a great shopping experience looking forward to more.

This is a marketplace seller on Amazon.com. AVOID buying from them at all costs. The product I received did not match their product description and they wouldn't do anything about that. When I returned the item, they denied having received it even after I had UPS delivery confirmation. Endless emails were not responded to.
Love Amazon - great prices, and returns are super easy, so I can get clothes at amazing prices, and just return it if it doesn't fit, Amazon Prime give you free, 2 day shipping on most things, plus photo cloud storage, prime music and video which have replaced our Netflix and Hulu for most things. They even have a pantry that will deliver groceries, and Amazon Now which will deliver to you in TWO Hours! My husband love that and it was useful when we were in the middle of an organization project - ordered shelving, storage case and bins, that came right to us so we didn't have to stop in the middle of the project to go get that stuff. Worth the $99 a year membership fee - and they have discounts on that sometimes too!
I love their customer service! Unlike Mercari, they have a phone #, emails, and live humans that deal with any issues and help resolve them! This is a great app!
I used to love amazon. It was great for buying and selling textbooks as well as buying other things at competitive prices. Over the last year, however, I have become very disappointed with the site. I spent hours Christmas shopping trying to find items that would fulfill a $25 credit for a "gift" item that my daughter really wanted. The qualifying items were considerably more expensive than other sellers had them for, and I ended up spending a lot more than I wanted and I ended up with a DVD that will not play on US players. Just recently, I tried to sell a few things on amazon. I couldn't log into my seller account and had to sign up for a professional account which costs $39 a month. I didn't know I could sign up for an individual account and sell my items that way. Long story short, I HAD to deactivate my account because I didn't have the correct tax or business info to have a professional account. Now I can't sell on amazon again unless I create a new account. I can't even cancel/terminate my existing account without contacting customer service. I can't even find the number to contact them to do so. The whole website has become so user unfriendly and not worth my time to continue to shop through them. I never liked ebay, but I'm thinking I will switch back to shopping there because amazon has just gotten too greedy and doesn't really care about consumer needs anymore.
That is the Amazon site where usually they sell the used goods. Based on my experience they seem to turnaround returned goods (which may have been returned for being defective another reason to avoid buying from there) and resell them without checking them out first.
I bought a Asus Flip chromebook, used like new (just described the condition of the box claiming it was unopened) but right after I took it out of the box the computer acted strangely. It was scroll, font would change size, picture would shake without me even touching it! I started a return request stating that it was defective and gave all the above reasons and stated that it was like it was possessed and I was afraid of it!
I usually don't check my invoices just expecting them to get it right on the refund, but for some reason I DID check and saw that they charged me the return shipping and changed the reason for return from defective product (where customer does NOT get charged for the return) to buyer wanted to return reason (where you DO get charged.) I immediately notified Amazon and they refunded the charges but even though you can see how many stars the "warehouse' gets you can NOT read the reviews at to why, you click onto that it just brings you to an Amazon fact page unlike the private sellers where you can read what the customers say about them and AW's rating is NOT high, 84%. The only review that you can see me write was about the product itself, so I would advise NOT EVER to buy ANYthing from Amazon Warehouse, if you buy it used, buy from private seller.

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
