I ordered an Apple iphone 4s on the Apple website. To my greatest surprise, the phone was not locked and I had to pay $50 to unlock the phone as Amazon.com customer service were not helpful in resolving my claim. Also, the merchant posted wrong product description as I later found out that the product I received was not T-Mobile as seen on the sim that came with the phone.
I was very disappointed that Apple gave a very silly excuse and could not issue me a partial refund. I have been paying for Amazon.com for more than 5 years and I started blogging negative reviews for Amazon.com to all my contacts and would never use them again until I am refunded for the phone.
Sometimes there's stuff I just can't find locally because I live abroad. Not only can I find what I'm looking for on Amazon, but the prices are great! Shopping on Amazon gives me peace of mind. Problems are resolved quickly and to my satisfaction.
Great experience & service especially if you are a prime member but they are too big its scary. When i order online i dont want to pay taxes, this causes me to often look elsewhere before pressing the purchase button. I dont like a company that is so big that they collect all this data and no regulations on how they use it and the idea of using drones for delivery is also a concern. Who knows what cameras and data they will collect or invasion of privacy we may be subject to. Also if you are a prime member anything you buy should be covered under the prime service. Call me paranoid, call me crazy but we are all thinking the same thing, companies like the govt cant be trusted with our data.
Is Amazon perfect? Not always, but most of the time is smooth sailing. Anytime I've ever had an issue they have remedied it quickly. I count on reviews. So my only issue with them would be the issue that there may be paid for reviews. I hope they are working on stopping that practice and keeping things honest.

My experience with Amazon has changed over time. I've had more problems with sellers, which eventually get rectified but I've had one or two really dodgy characters in the last couple of years. Ie one that offered me a free product if I'd change my bad review to a 5-star review. One that said I'd have to send a heavy - useless - product back at my own cost if I didn't remove a review. One that said I hadn't even bought the product from them but I always take a screenshot of the product transaction, which showed their company as the seller! That was obviously some kind of scam but I got my money back anyway, to be fair to Amazon. I once bought a printer which only had 6 months' warranty left on it as the buyer had obviously been sat on it or using it for 6 months! I don't go to Amazon now as a first resort, especially for electrical goods!
On time and undamaged delivery of orders. A bit tricky lodging complaints. But when they mess up, they make it right.

Last night after spending more than hour selecting songs to purchase them for run the site kicked me out with explanation that I am not eligible for that transfer. This is the second time I am having an account with Amazon and second great disappointment. I was willing to purchase songs like every normal person without pirating them but the fact that I am Canadian makes me half human obviously for Amazon.com. And of course to make things worse Amazon.ca does not provide the same service.
I bought one or two things there, but the shipping costs usually make the products not affordable (for small items).
Their client service is very good for what i heard from some friends who had trouble with some items bought, so it's a trustful store.

I use Amazon prime, and get free two day shipping. As well as tons of books and movies to watch. I have been very happy with everything I've purchased! It's my go to site for everything. I really love the very easy " buy now" button, just one touch and I'm done. So time saving and convenient.
Amazon just rocks! If you want it they have it. I have placed two orders with them. Their tracking system kept me updated, I received my orders in a very timely fashion and I like that I can find unique gifts for my loved ones. So far everything has gone so smoothly.
I placed an order about a week ago for 2 bottles of the Pantene Pro-V Clarifying Shampoo. For some reason, this product is not available in stores local to me and I had no choice but to order online. After the package arrived, I discovered that there were 2 bottles of shampoo. It was Pantene Pro-V Moisturizing Shampoo. NOT the Clarifying Shampoo that I asked for. I immediately called customer service to tell what happened. They lady on the other end provided quick and friendly service so I can't complain about that. She put in a request to send me the correct shampoo free of charge and said that it should arrive 2 days from the time I called. Now I sit and wait. I'm glad I don't have to wash my hair right now or I would've been beyond pissed.

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
