Amazon is my favorite website around when it comes to shopping online. So much to choose form.
I love Amazon, so much to choose from, great customer service, and never had a return problem.
They are not good for giving you what you pay for! I can't count how many times I paid for an item and did not receive the product!
To be fair to Amazon, books are great through this source. I got some great editions of Kant and Sartre through this site. However, fellow movie collectors: beware. I have coveted Raise The Red Lantern for ages. Try getting it from the two mail order movie sites like MU. Amazon promised me a pristine new copy for a king's ransom, I paid close to fifty bucks for a single movie, I know, stop laughing, when it arrived it looked like a whole drawer's worth of silverware had fallen on it. The circular scratches covered it completely, I never play the return game, in Amazon's defense, perhaps they would have corrected it. Unfortunately and, conveniently coincidentally, it just happened to be the last 'new' one they had. Now you see why I didn't try, don't you?
If this was the 'brand new' one, imagine what the 'used' ones looked like? I have had three orders of philosophical works that were all excellent. I simply need to share with fellow movie collectors that this was the single worst looking fifty dollar 'brand new' disc that I have ever seen. Three players would not play this movie, I would stick to other items besides DVDs. In Amazon's defense, both mail order movie houses are notorious for sending other people's returns out as new movies. I dropped one of them for consistently mailing me unplayable, scratched beyond repair discs. I did take offense at the adjectives 'brand new' 'never been played,' this disc looked worse than movies I have owned for over a decade. Stick To Other Items. Take Care. Deus Vobiscum. Q.E.D.
I had a horrible time getting my New Yorker Kindle subscription moved to my Kindle Fire. Amazon said,"That's the Kindle people and they don't know what they're doing over there." I spent many, many hours being transferred from one person to another. They finally told me to cancel and resubscribe. I signed up for an "all access" subscription, hard copy and digital. Was told it was for one year and I would be billed $6 every three months. At the end of the first 3 months got a bill for $99. Spent many more hours (literally) on hold and with Amazon and Kindle people who could barely speak English. I finally had to threaten them with a lawsuit for bait and switch and cancel the whole subscription. They said my deal was "subject to change". 2 weeks later I get a New Yorker in the mail and on my Kindle without paying them a cent.? Still wondering if they will send another bill or if they FINALLY figured out they made a mistake. Will never get my phone minutes back. If you want a subscription I suggest you call the publisher direct. Do not go through Amazon.
There is so much to purchase on Amazon. You can find like literally anything you want.
I have been using Amazon for at least 6 years. AMAZON is amazing. I order from Amazon LLC and if I have ever had a tinsy problem they are there to fix it and if it doesn't work, you just return it 99% of the time for free.
I do about 80% of my shopping on Amazon, and do ALL of my Christmas shopping there. I couldn't ask for better quality or service anywhere!
With all the ethical challenges I have with their reported working environment, I still can't help to go to them first.
I do feel I am locked into the company, as I have used many of their services.
I hope they clean up their work environment. I would hate to see them fail due to pure work culture.
I love Amazon, low prices, great deals, and good customer service
I have been using Amazon to compare high street and online prices for a lot of my purchases, and they have nearly always been cheaper.
Have ordered from Amazon many times and anytime I have a problem with my order they are quick to fix it! Thanks Amazon for being awesome!
Great deals- but this $49.00 minimum for free shipping got to go.
Long story short all I wanted was my complete order or my complete money back.
When I called in I asked to have my total order cancelled or my whole order processed as they had order total on hold with bank, part of my order was being declined because they tried to re-authorize on top of the order total already on hold. I was assured my order was cancelled, then I noticed the hold was still on my account, I called again and was told my order shipped. They cancelled part of my order, not the whole, and was able to take the partial order funds out of the whole amt on hold (yet they didn't have access to the authorization like they claimed). I would've been happy if
1. I was told the truth
2. My claim as a long time consumer was actually looked into instead of saying that's the bank problem not amazon.
Simple. Now I'm stuck with needing to order from amazon as they have the easiest access to products I like, and not wanting to give them any more $. As long as I make simple orders, I think it'll be ok... Never want to call in ever again.
I don't drive so I am an AVID Amazon User. They are reasonable and if I ever have a problem they are right on top of it. It's nice to not have to worry about any problems with returning. The quantity and quality of products has been great.
I have bought many things from Amazon, from phone cases, bags, luggage to electronics. Their price is very competitive, they follow up quickly with my inquiries, the key is to choose those sellers with good reviews by Amazon and the "prime" options will give you peace of mind as Amazon will help you with complains and refunds
It like rolling the dice very poor customer's service when you need help if there is any
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
