Always fantastic value, even marketplace sellers are quick to respond to issues and very professional. I always use amazon because they have such a fast delivery system and their products are so varied I purchase most items through them now including my groceries, clothing and music!
I have been buying from Amazon since 1998. Today I buy almost everything from them, from clothes to coffee to electronics, food, baby products, etc... they ship quick and product is always perfect, just as described. I spend thousands of dollars per year on their site, and I have only had a problem maybe 3-4 times over 18 years. Their customer service is excellent, and their prices are usually the lowest found anywhere. I am a loyal Amazonian... I love this company!
I am very seasoned consumer on Amazon and have just experienced a few watch outs.
Pay very close attention to small details especially when you need a product in a short time frame. Primarily, when the product is not coming from an Amazon fulfillment center.
In the last 2 weeks I had 2 orders bite me. One was coming direct from China and the other from India.
The China order was simply a pair of mini USB power cords, great price, 2 for $5.49. The deal was so great I missed the details, ordered at 8:00 PM, by 11:00 PM I was notified that the product was already shipped. Blown away, however, it was really shipped the next business day as it was coming from China. And it was sent regular mail. Goty the product 3 weeks later. So my haste cost me as I had ordered for a friend who required the product right away.
The order from India, also took 3 weeks, but this was goofy, maybe culture or whatever, they shipped the product registered mail. What a royal pain. I have product shipped to my condo in Florida and my neighbour puts the product away for me awaiting our return. UPS and FedEx are great, they know our place always leave it where required. But registered mail, it became a nightmare.
Hope my short comings help you in the future.
You wanna join Prime, it pays for itself real fast. First class customer service, fast shipping, and no I do not work for them. Amazon is what every other mail order company should be like but isn't. You get exactly what you pay for and you're not going to get beat by a shady seller because Amazon won't let it happen. Amazon gets my vote!
I had an original Kindle, but then upgraded to a paperwhite. The difference is amazing. Now there's no trouble with reading in dim light. Can read in bed whilst lying down. Can read on the tube when the lights go dim. Can read in the dark if I want to. It's so easy to read anywhere at any time. I'm really glad I finally got - and it's really easy on my eyes.
I use Amazon.Com quite a lot after pricing items in stores around town. I can usually find it cheaper on Amazon. I have purchased a LOT from Amazon and have never been disappointed in anything yet.
I ordered most of my Christmas gifts from Amazon and had problems with 2 orders and was so happy that 1 email took care of everything. I am also a Prime member and love the ease of Prime Pantry and free prime shipping.
Amazon is the first place I go on the net when searching for most items. I can always find such unique items and very reasonable prices. I have never had a problem with items not arriving as promised nor have I received damaged items. I would recommend Amazon to anyone!
I have spend more than $50,000 on amazon to date. There were some minor bumps with delivery occasionally however I can say that amazon made me happy to resolve it each and every single time.

I do a great deal of shopping on Amazon.ca (Canada). I've only had one issue in which the seller did not ship the item but Amazon cancelled the transaction before I even had to file. Overall, a fabulous, quick and secure way to shop online.
They have everything. So easy to spend with them. Most prices are good. Their support is excellent. What more can you want from a site/company?
They delivered the wrong items and then want me to go print labels and take the box to UPS. Like I have time for that. As for trying to fix the problem, two of the three items I ordered and paid for they can't even send. The one they can send will arrive too late for the birthday party they were intended for. Thanks for nothing, diapers.com.
Another flawless transaction with earlier than expected delivery.
They really are a confidence inspiring on-line shopping service.
I don't personally shop much online because I like to see the products and touch the products in real life... but when I do have those off moments and shop online, I definitely shop on amazon
Although this company encompasses many areas of retail merchandise, I know that I can always find anything I am looking for; prices can be a little high, but they can also be a bargain--depends upon the buyer and their diligence in comparing prices. I have found that Prime membership has saved me a lot of money. It is well worth the price.
I have been using Amazon for many years and have done hundreds of purchases with them. A lot of the times they are cheaper than others like eBay, Home Depot, or even Walmart. While I've still purchased from the others I have many times purchased Amazon over them even when they are more expensive because I know they are a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end without any wasted time on my part even when things go wrong. Sometimes an item doesn't work out or is defective and I don't have to waste much time or effort to make it right with Amazon (no driving and waiting in line or lengthy arbitration process).
Thank you Amazon you've grown for a reason.
All products are genuine and at going price always. Love shopping online.
I've been using Amazon for years as both a buyer and a seller. Over the last couple of years their shipping has gotten worst and worse and so has their customer service.
The last few items I've ordered from Amazon (not from 3rd party sellers) have been terribly packaged and arrived defective. Amazon does take returns, but shipping it back is a huge hassle and nobody ever bothers to apologize for wasting my time when they send me a broken item. There is nobody held responsible and there's no way to contact them directly if I want to ask for them to package a delicate item more appropriately.
On top of the broken items and extra slow shipping, I've recently been locked out of my account because of security issues that they will not clarify. I've called their customer service- and they've been incredibly useless, namely because they're outsourced oversea. Nobody will tell me why I can't get into my account. They tell me they don't know and another department will handle it. I ask to speak to that department and they say they will contact me. It's been days and I've heard nothing. If I didn't have a gift card balance, I'd likely just forget about my account and be done with them.
Amazon is a soulless corporation that is responsible for the loss of countless jobs. Saving two or three dollars just isn't worth dealing with them. Support somebody that has a face and cares about their customers instead.
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
