I remember when Amazon first started. I hated them, b/c I love a good book store and thought they'd be the death of book stores. I was also afraid to buy on line.
Now Amazon is my "go to" site for anything and everything. I love the 2-day shipping and I buy almost everything on Amazon now.
Years ago I would buy kindles, games and order stuff, but now I feel they are over priced on some things I like. In the app sections to download a free smoothie app, I clicked on a picture of one I like and up popped a fee to get it. I uninstalled it. We recently purchased a vitamix which included quite a big recipe book. I am not happy with most games. They are poor quality and consumer has to make at least one purchase to review an item. Hogwash. I would purchase a movie or something every once in a while, but I wouldn't purchase something like I have in the past.
The customer service is decent, I just dont care for some policies they have.

I love this site for buiyng items very easy and user freindly you have either the US version or like me use the Canadian version Amazon.ca. Would recommend this site to everyone who likes to buy on line, this Site and Ebay are my 2 best shopping sites. The only unique and only problem i have is that this site does not accept Paypal as a pmt option. If its the 1st time using this shopping site you will not be dissapointed.
You get what you expect with no problems and returns are easy
Probably my most favorite site to shop from. Whatever you could possibly think of to purchase, Amazon would have it. Terrific site, great bargains, great customer service, and a vast variety of items to choose from. What more could you ask for? Just LOOOVE this site!
