I've had my share of problems with Amazon, and I must say my issues were corrected. Overall I would recommend them for your online shopping.
I ordered glasses foem Amazon and i received them only in two months. I like to shop online, but such delay in delivering is really not good
I always keep a cart open and get regular shipments on items we use frequently. Who wants to run around to different stores wasting time with a list. Sit at your desk- shop- at your door in a few days! Love Amazon- I have also sold a few items on there as well.
My biggest issue with Amazon is the reviews.
The have paid reviewers at the top of the lists. Don't see a conflict with someone being paid to review a product?
They lump all reviews for similar models, some models are vastly different in specs and configuration. You could have one model that is great and another model that is a POS but Amazon lumps them together and you don't know until someone posts a model number in their review. You will think a item is great when it is known to be defective. Amazon is well aware of this issue but will not do anything about it.
Don't ever use Amazon Services. First off, Amazon techs are subcontractors, nothing more. We have never set foot in a Amazon facility. Amazon does not actually vet their technicians. They have changed policies so many times due to techs going onsite drunk/high and stealing/breaking things at customers sites. I don't doubt that Amazon fixes all the issues but some items are not replaceable. Issues with businesses quoting one price then jacking it up when they get onsite.
Amazon returns are great, Customer service is great IF YOU USE THE PHONE. Email support is terrible, just like everyone else. Cut and paste responses that have no bearing on your issue.
I have been ordering the Bambo Nature diapers for over a year from this company. There have been minor issues in the past nothing to write a review about but this time I feel I must share in hopes of helping other Mum's with their little ones. Their drop down menu begins with a size 3 diaper. I clicked on it and scrolled down to the number/size 6 placed in my cart and headed to checkout where I completed my purchase. Two days later a box of diapers SIZE 3 arrived! I got right on their return and took the box (my gas & time) to my local UPS store.
1. Diapers.com does not do credit back to your method of payment upon UPS scanning the item in AMAZON DOES-YOUR PAYMENT IS RETURNED THE MOMENT THAT BOX IS SCANNED. INTO THE SYSTEM OF THE CARRIER.
2. Diapers.com informed me this morning that it will take yet ANOTHER 24 HOURS FOR THEM TO OPEN THE BOX! TO START THE RETURN.
3. Then Diapers.com WILL TAKE YET ANOTHER 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS TO REFUND MY MONEY.
I can't afford to buy another case of diapers while I wait for diapers.com I have to wait for THEIR LONG PROCESS. Thank goodness we use cloth too. From now on our Bambo Nature Diapers will be purchased through AMAZON.
Amazon is usually one of the first places I shop for everything.
Whenever I need to return something it is very easy and quick.
Highly recommend this company.
Amazon is just the best. Great products, great shipping, and incredible customer service. Amazon is primarily my source of shopping now. You cannot go wrong with Amazon.
I do a lot of shopping on Amazon. No complaints. No problems.
Amazon has everything you could possibly want or need. Easy to shop at Amazon. Great Prices. Reliable. Good return policy.
Amazon.com is an excellent website to make purchases they have a wide range of Everything! From fashion, beauty products, home and outside stuff to wigs, hair extensions, and at reasonable prices I love Amazon Prime my ITEMS come within 2 days the customer service is EXCEPTIONAL! Love love Amazon.com and Amazon PRIME!
I have bought everything from: shoes, essential oils, shampoo for fido used computers, and other necessities. Whenever you want to find a bargain, just look them up on the net. They are great for books too. I give them a five star.
I have been using Amazon for about 15 years now and I have seen Amazon go through a number of changes. I am currently an Amazon Prime member and since I buy a lot of items from Amazon, the two day free shipping is something that keeps me coming back. I must admit however that I also bounce each purchase off of Ebay because you can often find cheaper items there and you do not have to usually pay the tax there. Also Ebay offers Ebay Bucks for most purchases that accumulate quarterly and you can use those bucks towards any purchase sometimes getting things for free. The shipping usually takes a few days longer to get to you but if it is something I don't need right away, I will go to Ebay instead of Amazon. It's also usually a little tougher if you have a problem with a purchase because the hoops you have to jump through at Ebay, make it more of a pain that Amazon which is very liberal in it's return policy. With Amazon now trying to get into groceries, I cannot wait to see how this shakes out.
Offers a lot of products from several brands that give us the chance to pick the best.
Shopping online with a source to almost any thing you can think of and free shipping for a reasonable prime time fee.
- prime items no longer are all shipped in 2 days. Now many items are many available to ship for weeks but still labeled "prime". Others come in 4-7 days and still labeled prime but "back ordered". It's useless.
- subscribe and save used to be 20% the one day is mysteriously changed to 15%. Every rep gave me a different answer saying"oh it was a promotion" oh it was for your diapers" (I wasn't ordering diapers), etc.
- subscribe and save prices have leapt through the roof and there's no consistency in pricing
- third party sellers are a joke! I am getting damaged, opened items that are junk. I am getting phone calls from 3rd party sellers begging me to leave feedback. I've told Amazon I don't mind emails but no calls from sellers - they agree it's not allowed - then it happens again! I feel harassed. I used to but 75% of my shopping from Amazon now it's less than 5%... Just here and there.
I have made several purchased from Amazon and have always been pleased with item and delivery.
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
