I am amazon.com user for a long time but I was just a buyer. For last 7 months I start to sell on amazon. I already have experience selling on ebay and couple other sites. First it was looking just wonderfull. I sell new cases for tablet pc and other staff but in used directory. Because you can't sell on amazon new staff without official license from manufacturer. But then I sold used Canon digital camera and my account was stopped for a while. With all my money on it - there was 112euro. Amazon explain it so: I violate intellectual property of Canon. When I asked how could this be when I was selling USED CANON CAMERA!?
There where no answer. Then after 2 weeks I received letter that amazon decide to close my seller account. Ok. But I ask them to withdraw my balance to my bank account. They told me - that it going to happen automatically. 3 month later - nothing. No money no connection with amazon - because my account is already closed so I can't enter it and withdraw my money by my self. All I hear from amazon: if you have a problem contact us directly from your account. When I explain my problem they advice my to login and contact them directly from my seller account.
So amazon.com for me is just another global fraudsters with huge money which they've stolen from persons like me. Without any explanations.
I understand that maybe there where reason for closing my seller account but my money which was hold for stuff I sold are still mine! And I am not Santa, at least not for amazon!
I use Amazon's website for everything from books to music to clothing to gifts! When I can't find something I'm looking for locally, I almost always can find it on Amazon! Great site! Highly recommend!
I've ordered several things from amazon.com in the past 2 years. Some have been exactly as ordered, while others seem to be misleading as to where things are shipping from. Also seems to be a clearing house for LOTS of discontinued old stock merchandise. With all this on top of their unethical/poor business practices... I'd rather buy from many other companies.

Always have a choice of the same product from different sources. They also have the option to get something in the time you want. Monthly primise membership offers not only free 2 day S&H but video and more. I'm always pleased with the results of my shopping experience on Amazon. Plus I am protected from any missteps that occur 3rd party marketplace sellers.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
