I would never recommend Amazon after my experience with them. I sold a book online to which they took a huge chunk of the profits. After 6 weeks, the buyer decided to email me and wanted a refund. I was certain that Amazon would agree with me since they had the book for so long, but they didn't. It was ridiculous! So, they charged my account even after I did the appeal. They will tell you all day that you don't need to worry, and we will take care of it, but they lie! So, after weeks of dealing with them on this issue, I reported them to the bureau and cancelled my account. Oh, I never even got my book back! Do not deal with them. There are other online selling sites.
I rarely use amazon but the very few times I've had, i've had nothing but issues. There was an unauthorized charge for 107 dollars for prime that I never signed up for. Be careful saving your card on file with amazon!
I have always found everything I wanted at Amazon. They also have incredible prices and you can buy new or used. Not much difference in price though. I was looking for a toy for my grand-daughters collection. I looked for two years, no lie, and finally went to amazon and found it. At the same price stores would sell it. I just spent about 10 minutes trying to get an estimate for an order without an account. Then I tried to get Help. I spent another 7 minutes trying to get help an was unsuccessful. I could not get an email or phone number to call since I was not a registered customer. So if you are a business and don't have an Amazon account don't bother going to Amazon for an estimate of the total cost.
Be very careful when you sign up for a prime membership. You will be charged annually for the membership without authorization. I have had this happen to me on several occasions. Speaking to customer service only helps after the fact. Check you account regularly for the unwarranted charges..

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
