I tried to sign up for a discount by filling out information to start my account. When it came to adding my mother's maiden name it kept popping up that I could only add letters in the box, which I did, trying several times to get it to accept and it never would. It was very frustrating so I gave up and ordered the book cheaper from another sight.

I got my ray ban glasses through amazon. It took a long time (more then 3 weeks) to get them however I saved a fair amount of money. I recommend to get sunglasses via amazon but be ready to wait.
I purchased a Netgear n450 moden router combo from amazon and Tech Gear CS out of CA. The description said it was compatible with Comcast, but after an hour with Comcast tech support we couldn't get it to work. I called Netgear tech support they said that unit was not made for Comcast, it was made for Cox. I returned it, and it is now over 50 days and Amazon and the seller are giving me the run around for the refund. So hear my words be extremely careful buying such products from Amazon and Tech Gear CS, because you'll have the same problems!

I've been an Amazon Prime member for years, and up until recently I've been 100% satisfied with it. Recently, Amazon has started using something called "Share Post" for their shipments and it sucks. They ship UPS to the local Post Office and drop the shipments so the post office will be responsible for the remainder of the delivery. I guess it's cheaper, but I recently had 5 different shipments get lost in that process. For people who live on rural routes, you can't use the street address which is required by UPS; instead you have to list the PO box because the post office doesn't do home delivery in certain areas.
It wouldn't be such a big deal if, during the ordering process, there was a disclaimer notifying the buyer which form of delivery was being used. That way the proper address (street or PO Box) could be listed and there wouldn't be this confusion.
Love'em... even if they are getting a bit too large. It's lately been a real tough time to just make up my mind -- they offer SO much good stuff. In a way, it helps though -- I don't buy as much! Lol

Now, I normally do not write reviews, but after the awful experience I have just had with Amazon, I thought something needed to be said. I placed an order almost an entire month ago, and it never shipped. I attempted to look for help on amazon's page, but there was nothing helpful on the website for my issue and absolutely no way that I could find for me to speak to a representative. I finally went onto a different website where I was able to figure out that my item was probably not in stock when I ordered it (which was not stated anywhere on my order) and was thus possibly never going to get shipped to me. I am extremely frustrated at how poor amazon's customer service is and how there is no way to easily contact a representative about a unique issue. I eventually decided to go ahead and just cancel the order, but even that was extremely difficult since I had ordered something else with it at the time. It took me on an extremely round-about way to the customer service page, where I literally clicked on the exact same answers, and it finally canceled my order.
I recently counted how many times I have used Amazon for ordering everything from household supplies, gifts, food items, clothing-it is my go to for just about everything. I have had hundreds and hundreds of orders with very few issues. When there are issues they always make it right, refunds and returns have always been so easy. Answers are always prompt. Customer service is always pleasant and patient. As long as you stick with Amazon supported items, you will always be well taken care of.

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
