I have an Amazon Prime account and I've had it for a year. The other day I bought a gift card for $60.00 and when I went to use it, it said there was no money on it. I contacted Amazon and they said the retailer who sold it to me which is CVS, they are responsible. I went back to them( CVS) and they said Amazon was responsible. So I'm out 60 dollars. I'm very very unhappy. I'll be canceling my Amazon account and having all my friends do the same. Do not use Amazon. I'm getting a free Amazon Prime trial right now and so far am very impressed. I get free 2 day shipping no matter what the order is, as long as the items are Prime items, and I mean REAL 2 day shipping, including Saturday & Sunday! This includes the Amazon Prime tv too, which is really good. I'm just wondering how they will handle seller errors. I got 5 bags of Rachel Ray grain free dog food, totalling 140 lbs (each bag 28 lbs) and it was listed as $5 each, no shipping, etc. and it has shippedm, but I have a feeling that I'll be getting 5 lb bags, not 28 lb bags, and I will NOT accept a refund. I want what I ordered. The same item from the same seller has been corrected and is now almost $30 for each bag, so it'll be interesting to see how they handle things. If the seller won't honor what they listed, I'm hoping that Amazon will. It wasn't my error! But I won't know the answer until 7/27, and I'm pretty confident that Amazon will do the right thing for me. Regardless, I'm still quite happy with Amazon Prime. How often do you get Sunday deliveries to your front door? Not often! Plus great tv. Can't be beat!

For my grand daughter, but the supplier stopped trading, so Amazon have refunded me costs - the fad has since ' cooled ' considerably, so she's not bothered about not receiving the second item. I get my money back - great service.

I have used Amazon for multiple purchases and have never had to return an item! Shipping is always as promised, actually have received some items earlier than expected. I use Amazon for price comparison on different categories, some times they meet or beat local retail business, so when the price is right, I order from Amazon. They help to keep the competition in check.
It wasn't always that way but Amazon now sits on orders it could just as easily send off sooner... and it feels as if it's doing so, on purpose, to punish those who select free shipping. Nobody expects 2 day service but to wait until the last minute to release free shipments is poor form...
If it weren't for this, Amazon would earn five stars from me... I buy lots of used CDs and books (third party sellers are almost ALWAYS faster shippers than Amazon) and the few returns I've had have been processed quickly. As good as it is, the shipping thing sticks in my craw...
I Frequently use amazon, does not always have the best prices, but if they have good service, until today always received the products bought and in the term that were promised.
And I'm loving it. I usually purchase hygiene supplies and electronics from Amazon, but they often have some of the best deals on musical equipment too. Packages arrive in two days so it's not much of a wait. I will probably always be subscribed.
I've been an amazon Prime member for years. I have had the best luck with shipping. Things arrive when they say and in good shape. The one time I had problems, they gave me a gift card. It wasn't even their fault.

They don't just say it like so many other online stores but they mean it. Anytime you have an issue with an item purchased you can return it. The only company I have used that really does that!
They are great, I love ordering from amazon. They always ship things on time and any time I need an explanation for something they are very accommodating and efficient.
I feel free to order from them because they have great customer service. If there is a problem (I only buy Amazon prime items), they will send me a shipping label to return the item. I then purchase a replacement item. As soon as UPS scans they have received the item, Amazon is emailing me to finish processing my return. I don't know any companies who refund before they receive the item.

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
