I have been using Amazon for years and can only recommend it to everyone! I order many different things and have never once been disappointed and if you are, you'll be quickly refunded. Such fast, great service, you just can't go wrong. Amazon is Amazing!
I've had a Prime Account with Amazon for years and have never been disappointed by them. On the rare occasion the product I ordered was not what I'd expected, Amazon immediately either issued return documents or simply credited my account and told me to donate the product to an organization that might be able to use it. Their prices might be higher because of Prime, but the customer service makes it very worthwhile. Great company!
Not all the products are genuine. When a seller offers a melita cone... it may not be a genuine melita... or other things, like hoover vacuum bags are not genuine nor the quality of hoover, but are represented as such... also check around as the prices some vendors are charging are CRAZY... like 42.00 for laundry detergent you can buy in Walmart for 14.99... Amazon customer service will stand behind their customers in most instances... But you can get really ripped off... this is true of things sold by third parties on Wal Mart as well...
I'm really an Amazon person. From personal stuffs to the ones rarely needed or used, I usually go and see if Amazon carries them. Had some disappointing items there but overall this site is beyond amazing.
I used to shop on Amazon a lot. The products I received were hit or miss and so were their prices. Often times when I compared pricing - eBay, Etsy, Wal-Mart, Target, and Kohls would have the same or very similar items at lower prices, even if you're paying for a Prime account w/"free" (paid for) shipping.
But why did I really stop shopping at Amazon? Because Amazon is the reason why over a million workers (between their business and USPS who delivers for them) do not get to enjoy major holidays like Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas with their families - because now they're forced to have to be out delivering for Amazon, which could and should allow ALL deliveries to stop for all major holidays. People survived for hundreds of years not getting mail on major holidays or Sundays. Now USPS workers do not get that one (saving grace) day a week to rest their bodies (Sundays), especially between November and February when they need it the most. Amazon is DIRECTLY responsible for lowering the quality of life and family time and rest time for over a million American workers. And because odd that, I had to quit the USPS and have been unemployed and struggling to find work ever since. I could not physically work 7-day work weeks and miss holidays with my family - and Amazon caused that. I will never shop from them again and I tell all my fault and friends to do likewise. A few have stopped shopping from them for the same reasons.
There is no way of knowing if the product you order is from the USA or a foreign company. I do NOT like not knowing. I prefer to support my own country.
Amazon is usually pretty good. Often you can find better prices on ebay from official stores. Otherwise, Amazon has Prime and other good options, nice credit card promotions when you join, and fast shipping.
Amazon is beyond compare in my opinion. The ease of shopping, the huge selection of items, the prices, the shipping is so fast. I have never had to return an item because I am always satisfied the first time. I always feel secure using my credit card and even when I had a small problem customer service corrected it immediately! Only problem is that I cannot order from Kenya where I live most of the time... the shipping is a nightmare.
I have NEVER had a problem ordering from Amazon. Every order is processed FAST. Delivery is FAST. If I have a problem and report it, a customer support person gets in touch with me FAST. There are No Questions Asked. If you are displeased, they will refund or replace almost instantly. EVERY E-Commerce store should be like Amazon.
And that flaw is shipping. Out of all the variants in Europe yes I live in a small EU country in the east Med, but most EU shops won't ship to me, so I order something on Amazon.co.uk because the other. De,. Es,. Fr,. It are all country specific and won't ship to Cyprus despite being closer that the UK, so I hit checkout on a board game that costs £19 and before I hit confirm I see shipping is £49 for standard shipping!?!?!?
So until Amazon gets the shipping in Europe method down I won't be shopping here unless I absolutely need the item. You question me back by saying well order form another site and you will see Shipping is just as expensive? My answer is sadly no this is not the case. The same board game I found on a game site from Germany and they shipped it to me for £10 DHL. So no not the same boat.
Amazon added me to prime without my consent for $99.99 a year i told them i didnt want prime so they said 3 to 5 days to refund the money that was 5 weeks ago and still no refund yet! I will not be ordering from them again! Buyer beware of amazon!
Its pretty good if you need a specific book for a class, or are looking for an old CD but otherwise I just don't get it. I'm a die hard eBay fan. Maybe it's because I can actually see what I'm buying and not some crappy stock photos. But I suppose it's awesome for shut ins that need a lot of toilet paper.
Of course, you need to do a bit of research, but when you find a great product you're generally not disappointed!
Also, I had recently bought an Amazon Fire 8" tablet, I cracked the screen after it dropped on the street, I called their Help Centre to ask them for an address where to send it for repairs... They told me they would send me a brand new tablet if I could return the cracked one! Result!
I can wholeheartedly recommend this company! Great customer services!
I bought an Ancheer electric bike from Amazon. The charger did not work. The merchant made nothing but excuses and stated it was too expensive to replace the charger because it was too expensive to get from their supplier. Mind you I only had the bike one week. The A to Z guarantee from Amazon is a joke too. I had to fight tooth and nail to get it. I paid $229.95 UPS shipping and Amazon did not want to cover the charge. They gave me a $150 credit on the Amazon Store card which was used to buy the bike. I receive the difference from a previous purchase as an exception refund. Too much trouble and I lost all respect for Amazon. Do not buy any ANCHEER products. Do not trust the Amazon reviews either...
I have nothing bad to say about Amazon in fact they have been very good with everything I ordered from them.
It feels like Amazon has everything under the sun. We hate store shopping and Prime is a game changer. But don't depend on Amazon for everything - you can still find cheaper prices for certain things by heading out to an actual store. Use wisely and don't get addicted.
I love Amazon. Best of the best products and Prime customers get quick ship and mostly free. You can find everything you need within a couple days,
I am a Amazon Prime member. The convenience is well worth the Cost! If your order is not right or if you don't like the item returns are really easy. Most things i order have free shipping and arrive within a couple days.
Always professional ready to take care of any problem. Excellent customer service. I have been a user of Amazon for many years and like their website and customer service site, The communication is simple and quick.
I ordered an item and chose free shipping. I noticed the item did not leave the warehouse and ship out immediately. In fact I watched it for 7 days and the in-stock item never moved. Customer service stated they did not need to ship it by a certain day and they only needed to be within the estimated time frame for delivery. Very slow shipping took 9 days to ship from 90 miles away. Amazon waited to the last day to ship and it was in stock. I guess you have to pay a $100 to get good service with prime account. But not from any other vender. The item was about the same price all over the web. I'll think again before ordering or I'll just have to pay for the concierge service like my doctor tries to push on me.
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
