The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from frequent delivery delays, inadequate customer support, and challenges with returns. Many customers report frustration with unresponsive service representatives and convoluted processes for refunds and account issues. Customers express concerns about counterfeit products and a perceived lack of accountability, suggesting a pressing need for the company to enhance its customer service approach and improve operational efficiency to restore trust.

1) Ive been getting very poor and unacceptable responses concerning the shipping shortage.
2) It's extremely difficult to image that a multi-billion dollar company does not have a process for the customer to report a shipment shortage, only to have customer service given no way of resolving the issue directly.
3) I was told that the only way to address the issue was to be refunded for the missing item and re-order the missing item.
4) Why is the customer required to take these actions when it is clearly the fault of Amazon and the inadequacy of their product supply process. Your Customer Service did not provide any applicable service, since they do not have the ability to process an order over the phone, only view the order and offer upgraded shipping options, which in fact did not improve the arrival date.
5) How does a company this size not have a mechanism do deal with order shortages.
Every time I'm on Amazon I find nearly everything I am looking for. And it gives me the option to view all the stores that carry it that go through Amazon to sell there stuff. I can pick whichever store I want that is selling it through Amazon and check how much each one is selling it for, and browse the selections to check the shipping prices for each store that is selling it. A wonderful place to go with a GREAT selection of products.
I've bought all manner of items from Amazon. Prices are competitive except not for clothes as much. Shipping is usually free or reasonable except for one seller I bought ball pit balls from. Really outrageous! S but needed them for a grand kids birthday. Returns are excellent: simple and fast! I really love Amazon!
I ordered a book for a friend and it arrived the next day! I can order almost anything I can't buy locally from Amazon and have it usually in a couple of days. So easy!
I love Amazon, I am a prime member, and have recieved every package on time even on holidays! ThankYou! There isnt anything that I cant find here! Prices are incredible. YOUR AWESOME!
I love Amazon. Easy returns/exchange and you can find anything and everything at Amazon. Shop here!
And frankly they deserve it. They run their empire like it should be run and it will continue to grow.
I use Amazon regularly and o far always had a great experience, easy returns if needed, great selection of product with good search tools.
Amazon is the easiest single source to shop from but all it takes is a single look at pricing history of an item to shock you. The price you pay is not consistent over time. There are websites that let you enter an Amazon URL and view past pricing and more folks should be aware of these. If saving money is more important than convenience you can almost always beat Amazon
Pretty good service, delivery is speedy, i really hope their customer service improves. I bought a graphics card from them a while back and it didnt arrive the day they say its supposed to so I emailed them but they gave me the impression that they didnt really care about finding the card? The delivery sorted itself out anyway but I thought the CS experience was not the best.
My biggest issue with Amazon is with their Video Prime service which has geographical restrictions. I travel a lot and am unable to use it. Simply a waste of money, had to cancel and switched to Netflix. Amazon's video rentals are very expensive btw!
My product (a Nikon DSLR camera) took so long to ship, when I asked the seller about it she kept on telling me, and I quote "i'll ask the warehouse what's up" Really, and the communication was far between. I did receive the product a month later but I'm not happy with the experience
I have NEVER had a fulfillment problem with Amazon. Love them! I hope they continue in their quest to take over the retail world.
For the past 9 months or so, I have noticed that the Prime filter and label is useless. When in a hurry, I use the Prime filter to only browse items that I know will arrive within 2 days. I then purchase the items and check out. Only later, on my email receipt do I notice that the shipping is 3-20 days, not the two days promised by Prime. At first I thought the mistake was mine, but as I continued to shop and continued to only add items to my cart that were labelled shipping via Prime, I noticed this was a common occurrence. Looks like Amazon is engaging in a bait and switch, which I don't appreciate. I pay for Prime to get 2 day shipping. If I knew shipping speed for crayons or school notebooks was actually 20 +days, I would never buy them on Amazon.
I order a lot on Amazon. I am a Prime Member. I have never been disappointed in their service as well as their return policy when something I ordered doesn't work out for me.
Web page is easy to navigate. I love being able to shop without having to go anywhere. The traffic in my area is ridiculous, so not having to leave is awesome.
Loved Amazon for many many years.
Since Prime came along it became harder and harder as non-prime member to make purchases; to the point that I no longer make purchases from Amazon.
I have reverted to using Ebay, Walmart Online, and alternate sites for products I want which Amazon will only sell as a prime product. This is the case with any new order now. There will always be one prime item not available, unless you are prime member.
For prime members I am sure this is satisfactory. However, I can not justify prime membership.
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
