Amazon never disappoints. They ship quickly, offer easy returns or replacements. I buy almost everything from amazon, including groceries.
I am willing to pay a few bucks extra just to order from Amazon. If I get the wrong item or I don't like it, they take care of it!
I used to love Amazon, thought they had the best prices. However, there is so much competition that other places are just as good. I also don't like how they raised their minimum free shipping from $25 to $35, yet if you make that amount, they don't automatically click the box "free ship" when checking out. They click 2 day ship for a fee and you need to manually un click and look for free ship.
I was a Amazon prime customer. I ordered a surface pro 4 laptop and keyboard worth £2300 for next day delivery and was waiting at home eagerly awaiting delivery. It never arrived and when I checked the status on Amazon website, I was shocked to see the status updated as delivered and parcel handed over to the residents at my address. Nobody rang my door bell or knocked. I was home just to receive the delivery.
Now I am entangled in an unnecessary dispute resolution involving american express and amazon. Amazon hasn't so far provided any proof of who signed for the parcel. Every time I call them I reach a new customer service rep who keeps saying they will get back to me within 48 hrs. And later send an email saying the parcel has been delivered to my address.
I have cancelled my prime membership since then and still awaiting a resolution for this and kicking myself as to why i didn't walk into the nearest John Lewis showroom and buy the item like I normally do.
BITTERNESS OF POOR QUALITY REMAINS LONG AFTER THE SWEETNESS OF LOW PRICE IS FORGOTTEN!
Now I am left with no laptop and out of pocket by £2300 pounds and bitter a dispute. Feel like an Idiot!
Anand.
Amazon was my first online shopping experience and it was amazing. You placed your order and it arrived in a matter of days, it was exactly what you paid for w/o any worries. Then they started the Prime services, you pay $100.00 a year up front, get two day delivery, some Kindle book discounts and their TV shows. For me even though I probably spend close to a hundred in shipping, I don't want to be told to pay this amount and " you'll get better service from us!" So now if your not a Prime customer, your shipping can take days to weeks to arrive (if at all). Many times you deal with new seller's, and your order never comes. Amazon has purchased a newspaper, they've ventured into making movies, debating purchasing pharmaceutical and the one thing that got them started their losing focus on, great deals from reputable sellers and great shipping. If you stretch yourself to thin, you fall apart and their services are doing that. I ordered an item 4 times, from 4 different seller's, it took 2 months and it never came. Amazon did refund my money back through their A-Z customer service, but all I wanted was my item! Now after all these years of being a dedicated customer, I'm looking for another place to shop.
I have never been disappointed with service ethic, delivery time, quality of merchandise or returnability with no questions asked. They redefine buying. They deserve to beat all other retailers who could never flex.
I don't know even one person who didn't know about Amazon. And didn't hear about problems with orders. Top-rated market
I must admit that I LOVE shopping on Amazon! Every experience I've had with them has been great! I really feel they're the best online retailer I've ever used and whenever I want to buy something, they'll always be my first choice.
Easy to find anything you are looking for and you can't beat Prime! Everything arrives on time and I have never received anything damaged. Would highly recommend!
Being a seller in Amazon's marketplace is now a bit of a joke. Like eBay, it's been one round of 'compliance' after another, sometimes due to EU rules treating everyone as potential money-laundering terrorists.
As a seller, I was working for peanuts, as the competition is so great and the 15% commission excessive.
With increasing use of Amazon's FBA (fulfilled by Amazon), I was increasingly failing to win the 'Buy Box' and so losing out on orders, as many people don't bother to compare prices and sellers. Even when I was cheapest and with 100% feedback, Amazon and FBA sellers were just about always, if not always, rewarded with the Buy Box.
From now on, I am going to try to grow my brand without Amazon. For one thing, customer loyalty is almost zero with Amazon marketplace.
The danger for consumers is that, because Amazon has been happy to work for next to no profit for years, they are able to undercut almost everyone. And because of Amazon's vast reach, many businesses feel that they have to sell there, often selling at lower prices than on their own website, despite Amazon's charges.
The consequence could be that in another decade or two, nearly all internet sales are handled through third party sites like eBay and Amazon. Businesses will basically no longer be independent, increasing merchandise will be banned as they are deemed politically incorrect (such as all Confederate flag items, as just one example).
They will be able to set prices by setting their fees and we will only have easy access to the books they think we ought to read and the music and films we should own and the food we should eat.
Join me in boycotting Amazon, as a seller and as a buyer, otherwise we will be at the mercy of these kind of companies and in my experience, they don't do much in the way of mercy.
I give Amazon Prime only 2 stars because movies that are included with Prime I feel are B rated at best, not very good. I also feel they don't change movies faster enough. I also feel if you are including Movies in prime with no extra cost, which are awful, then Don't show us the Good movies that we have to pay for on that same page.
Amazon.com is simply excellent! I've ordered from this site many times and have always been happy with the results.
ALWAYS read the reviews of a product first. Specially the one star reviews. If there are too many of them, find another maker of the product you are seeking to buy. One with more five star reviews than one star. You have to do your own homework first. You have to be your own advocate. Even if I am not going to be buying from them, they are the first place I go to for reviews.
I have never had a problem with Amazon. Amazon listens to those one star reviews. If there are more one stars than five stars, the product is removed.
We buy from Amazon frequently and they do not dissapoint. They have most everything you need at the click of a button.
This is my favorite place to order. I spent prime and get something very quickly. The drawback is they often use carriers that do not do a good job. After I leave package feedback, they still do the same mistake. I have to return the same orders several times. Groceries are expensive but may become competitive.
For me its that place I can get pretty everything without worrying about the delivery or about whether the goods I got are genuine, never got a flaw. Thanks!
Orderd an item and took an extra week but refunded money back and did not have to return item orderd again thanks amazon
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
