Really, I am surprised as the service was so good! What I ordered came so fast and though I did not like it I could send it back and the money were back on my account right in time, great! I will order again!
I've been an Amazon Prime member forever and have never had such a nightmare experience with an order.
The kettle arrived in fine condition, but instead of the white handled kettle I ordered, and was listed on my invoice, I received a black handled kettle. The sticker on the top of the box said "white", but later when I packed it up to return it, I noticed the sticker on the bottom stated "black". (See pictures)
So,I called and asked to exchange it for the color that I ordered.
That's when the problems began.
I spoke w/4 supervisors in the hopes that one of them would be helpful in resolving the issue, but to varying degrees,I was met with disrespect, suspicion,condescending attitude, and downright talking over me.
Quite honestly, I've never experienced this from Amazon,... ever...until now.
Something has changed, and not for the better.
To complicate matters, mine was sold through their warehouse as " like new" and they didn't want to help me get the color I ordered...even though it was their error.
I guess they fail to check to be sure these boxes contain the item as described, although their descriptions online would lead you to believe they do. I was told I would be refunded only if I followed their online instructions to the T and if I wanted the white one I could go back and purchase it at the current price which is now higher. No apologies, no "let's see if we can correct this error", no... actually, one supervisor insinuated I was lying regarding the color I received (although that was debunked once she saw the photo and the invoice).Because the correct color was now going to cost more as it's price moved up and down like the stock market while I waited for my package to arrive, I decided to just cut my loses of time and energy and get my money back.
Amazon, it appears does not value their customers.
Because of the horrible treatment, waste of hours on the phone,the stress I endured, and the lack of respect and value for a long standing Prime member, I decided I had enough, and plan to cancel my membership and stop ordering from Amazon altogether.

I have shopped at this site for years and whenever I've had an issue, it is quickly and courteously addressed. Their customer service is top notch! Wish more were like it.

Recently, I have had the misfortune to watch Amazon's business practices deteriorate to the point of thievery. I've ordered items with a promised delivery date, and then been notified that the package would arrive much later. I attempt to cancel as the item is time-sensitive, and Amazon refuses to give me a refund. I must wait until it arrives, and then call them to order its retrieval by UPS. Bad luck for UPS. I don't suppose Amazon is so hard-up for cash that my $100 should keep them afloat. But they are quite indifferent to my pleas for a refund, once they've "dropped the ball". So, I'd say they are becoming more psychopathic, criminal, that is, in their outlook.
Worst experience with Amazon since Fan Courier took over the logistics in Europe. 2 years later and they are still not on top of things. Not possible to manage delivery routing through various companies. They set a default in the Czech Republic on the company Zasilkovna and that company delivers only up to 15kg. Thus no one in the Czech Republic can order anything heavier than 15kg from Amazon anymore. Fan Courier is a catastrophic company.
Masters of deception and bait & switch. They quote deliveries just to get customers to complete the purchase and then never come through with delivering on time. They are the poorest managed online retailer and you get nothing from Prime membership except Amazon Video. The only thing they do reliably is raise membership prices each year.
Amazon sucks and finally canceled Prime today after 20 years.
Bought 2 outdoor lights with Pir in 2020 1 was new and 1 was used but in good condition. They were supposed to last for ******* hours switched on. Because there is a pir they don't stay on but only switch on when someone comes to the door. The used one failed about 3 weeks ago Contacted Amazon who gave me a partial refund. But to buy another one will cost me over an extra £9 Amazon have refused to refund me the difference so it doesn't cost me any extra, All i get is I would love to do it but cant They were able to do it before so why can they not do it now
I'm a prime member but because of this attitude will not be renewing my membership
They are never on time and you pay for a service! Multiple times this has happened and this time is critical!

Not so much any more, this crap about charging for the item, when ordered and again when it ships - when it's already been paid for & taken out of our account in full - then Amazon puts another hold in that same amount for 10 days - like it's not paid for yet, that causes issues for some people who don't want to wait 10 days for the other hold to be removed.
Especially when you purchase expensive items like for 300.00 or more Amazon after already receiving the full 300.00 puts a hold on another 300.00 for 10 days! WTF.
I don't recall it being like this when I first got my prime account!

I have been buying from Amazon for 4 years now, lately they've been sending my items to the wrong address, now they sent an email they cancelling my membership, how's that my fault, when your employees aren't doing their job properly.
We are called multiple times and it frustrating agent disconnect the call in between without listening to the customer problem this really pathetic never had in the past. Let me explain my store: I called prime activating with out intervention and taking the money from gift card every month. We cancelled three time but it is happening again and again explained the same to agent they kept me 30 min hold and his supervisor not able to accept the refund and he waited 10 more min and disconnected the call without any resolution. Amazon customer support really gone down recent days. I was taking the Amazon customer care as role model for other online sites but not now it lost the trust of the customers
I have prime membership with Amazon and I spend like £1000 on order and I had 3 items that they came late like 3 days after the day I order. One item has been late and then delivered to a random neighbour, I never found the item obviously, I'm still chasing Amazon about my item.
First, I would like to say that I never been so disappointed like now, how bad they organise all the orders and the amount delay time. Secondly, if they know that it will take more time to deliver the items, they should put the time (days) for how long it will take the order instead of lying about the next day delivery of the items. Basically I'm paying PRIME for no reason as I could just order straight without membership.
I will try not to order from here again because of the lack of time, is horrible as I really needed the item next day delivered to me. Don't put the trust in them anymore as the organisation is so bad right now in their company.
The watch got broken a month after, I bought it. Even tho I have bought insurance with the watchs the customer support could not help me get intouch with someone to help me fix the watch, I contacted asking to help me get the watch fix, they said they will collect the watch within 2 days and give me a refund if that is okay, I said okay. A week went by no one came. I contacted them again this time they said they will contact the seller to assist me to get the watch fix if they can't reach the seller they will refund the money for me. Again a week went by and no follow up but i receiveda email that the seller is no longer with them, so I contacted them again, again they said some will pick it up in 24hours and I will be refund. 4 days pass no one came. I contacted, this time they said they can't find my insurance on the watch and they can't return or fix the watch sorry. Like wtf they couldn't tell me this 3 f** weeks ago instead of making me jump back and fourth. So yes buy insurance doesn't mean it register with the product and they will lead you around the Bush till they finally say f you...
Used to be a good prime customer spending £200 a month. Well I had to fight a year to get a refund then after giving a refund on amazon Gift card. They restricted my account. Said I could only buy digital purchases which I did and that got cancelled to. They have asked for a review which I did and that got blocked too. I have wrote a complaint and they wont give me a reference number or confirm if has been logged. Really bad behaviour and not what amazon once stood for. This is all at a bad time in my life where I really dont need it. After explaining I was told to have a great day.
Amazon refund policy sucks bigtime. They put the refund on a gift card instead of your credit card. So goodbye Amazon you lost me forever, BIGTIME!

This morning I received an email, supposedly from Amazon, stating that my Prime Account payment was due. The sender's address looked suspicous and I called Amazon customer service to verify that this was actually from them. My guess is that it was an attempt to get into my account through an outside source. The rep I talked to WAS NOT INTERESTED in my concerns. All she wanted was to verify my account. I explained in no uncertain terms that this had nothing to do with my account, but everything to do with an attempt to defraud THEIR customers and possibly steal their identities. She would not connect me to their fraud department nor provide a link to send them a report concerning what I found. You would think that a company as large as Amazon would be extremely interested in protecting their customers-APPARENTLY NOT. You're on your own, just be careful what email you open.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
