I ordered a new phone from Amazon.com. Before purchasing this phone, I specifically made sure that I was purchasing it from Amazon LLC not one of its vendors who sells things on its website. Even though Amazons price was more expensive then its 3rd party vendors. I was ok paying the xtra. I was not comfortable buying an expensive phone from a 3rd party vendor on Amazon due to warranty issues and not knowing where these vendors are getting their merchandise.
I received the phone. I was shocked to find that it was not a new phone but it was already used. It came just thrown in a box. It wasnt even factory sealed. The phone even had a screen protector on it placed by the prior user. The box that it was in was very beat up and had an address label from some 3rd party vendor who had previously shipped it out a month ago. Needless to say, I was very dissapointed. I contacted Amazon's customer service who acted like it was not a big deal. Clearly this happens alot.
However, this was the first time I had personally experienced it. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I already ordered the phone from another Retailer today. They used to be a good company to order from but I am not sure whats happening with them now.
I have had very few problems using Amazon. They did bamboozle me once by adding Amazon Prime to an order some time ago. I was lucky to catch the problem and correct it. They were sneaky one time. I now prefer to do all my buying through eBay for the eBay Bucks which you can earn with every purchase. I have been an Amazon customer for years and I worked for them one day to never return because of chaos and micromanaging.
Great company and service plus good prices. I use Amazon Smile as much as possible so a percentage of my purchase goes to Wings of Rescue, a charitable organization that flies pets out of kill shelters to no-kill or states that have few dogs for adoption. Great non-profit!
Having dealt with Amazon on several occasions I have no problem in recommending Amazon for easy trouble free shopping and speedy delivery of goods.

So I just searched an item on Amazon.ca, and I add it to my cart. The price immediately jumped from $173 to $239 as I checked out. After searching for a phone number, they proceeded to tell me that that they can't price match. My response to them was that "price matching involves 2 stores or websites, it doesnt involve a price discrepency off of your own website". They then asked if they can help me with anything else, and I told them "no, and that is the last time I ever order personally or for my business from Amazon again".
I go to Amazon first for everything. There isn't anything that I have looked for and not been able to buy there. Usually comes really guick too.
I have been loyal customer of amazon for many years. During this black Friday, I ordered few items, however amazon default selected my old address. Unfortunately I missed reviewing it (my mistake), reached out to amazon chat agent. After lengthy discussion (multiple chat agents), amazon was not able to change my shipping address. They provided options like refund, but I needed the product only change I need was change in shipping address. They bounced me between multiple chat agents. Started asking me to contact seller, contact UPS etc. When I contact UPS, due to method amazon is selected, only amazon can change the address and I cannot do it. But Amazon throw up their hands. Ask me re order with higher price. I was perplexed that company like amazon do not have proper process in place to change the shipping while it is in transit. Overall it was very stressful experience, moreover I would probably lose $100+ worth of goods as I have no way of collecting or returning the item.
I've done so many shopping there that I don't know how many! Overall, they have a really good customer service, nice products, nice and ergonomic shopping system and honest reviews!
I've been using Amazon for years and love it. Work and life keep me busy, so I'm not always able to 'run to the store' and Amazon makes it so easy and affordable with Prime. It should probably come with a warning label though because it is highly addictive. Also - Any time I have had an issue it's been resolved asap with no hassle and a rep who actually knows what they are talking about.
I BOUGHT A "BLACK FRIDAY" SALE ITEM ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON... THE PRODUCT ARRIVED TODAY (MONDAY). AMAZON IS THE BEST - (THEY RUN CIRCLES AROUND WALMART.COM)

I have attempted to order stuff three times from Amazon. Bad news every time. First time it took several months to arrive. When I got it, I realized why. It had been sent by surface mail from Finland (to me in Canada). Second time I ordered from Amazon it arrived two weeks after the promised date. But by the time it arrived I had already been refunded after my complaint. The third time I attempted to order from them was last week: When I entered my order for an item costing $20 their system told me if I ordered at least $35 of stuff I would get free shipping. So I changed my order to double the amount of the identical product from the same supplier. When I did that they then said I had to order over $50 to get free shipping, and when I increased my order, again, this time to $53, at the check out they added $20 more to cover shipping. I cancelled the order, and when I complained they tried to shift the blame to the shipper of the goods, when it had been THEIR ordering process that had been making the promises of free shipping. In two words: silly deceit. I doubt I will waste any more time trying to order stuff from Amazon in the future.
NOT A FAN OF COMPANIES WHO DO NOT SUPERVISE THE PEOPLE SHIPPING PRODUCTS FROM AMAZON... BROKE, BOXES ARE TOO BIG, NOT PADDED, NO ONE CARES... UGH.
I love Amazon. I order so many things and they are reliable. Things are of good quality and they provide very good service. I just had one incident related to shipping a hair serum to my home country where the seller sent one item instead of 4 and i discovered it after few months when i received the shipment. It was too late to complain and the seller just ignored my email and said they can not do anything.
While they got my order correct, they charged me prime when I didn't order it. I had to go through all the trouble of finding the right phone number and removing the charge. The website is not user friendly and there is no way of getting out of delivery charges unless you are this prime member which costs hundreds.
The BEST online shopping engine I've ever experienced. I love not having to really go to dept stores for things I need and want

I have order quite a few Items from Amazon and had no problems, but when I did have a problem it was fix right then in there. No waiting for $ or anything, done right away and that is he way it should be. When someone tells you that your $ will be back to you in two days! They are playing with your money, it is call making $ on no money. Figure this out... 1000 people gets $ on hold for two days, lets say it is 100.00 Each! That becomes 100,000.00 they can play with for two days, people or banks lets them play with $ on hold. But not on my watch. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOUR $ BACK. The same way they take it, it also can be released right then NOW! Their response is awesome. At some point the item I order came in wrong, and I called they told me they will send me a new one correct and I could keep the other one. Cheaper to give it away than shipped back? Love them.

I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
