Not An Amazon Fan

Amazon used to be good but in recent years they become more and more shady.

They treat sellers like less than dirt and allow unethical practices and DMCA violations.

Customer support is clueless and usually foreigners who do not even use Amazon.

Because Amazon allows shady, Lazy sellers to HiJack the listings of reputable sellers, you frequently purchase from uncaring, shady people.

I try me best never to order anything from this disgraceful eCommerce site anymore.

I bought a product on amazon.com for over 500 dollars, they never refunded my money and when the bank disputed the charge amazon told the bank that the item had been delivered so the bank closed the dispute, paying the full amount to the seller, I have been complaining for about 6 months now, the bank will not refund the money due to that amazon claims that the item was delivered, and amazon will not refund my money cause they said as I opened a dispute with the bank they are no longer able to refund the money, the item on the amazon's site keeps changing delivery dates but after 6 months no one know where the item is at.

I've been with Amazon Prime at least 5 years, probably more like 7 or 8. Today I was on the amazon.com site browsing when a little pop-up window solicits me, saying... "download the amazon app and we will give you $10 off a $20 purchase"... I went ahead and clicked the link provided within the pop up ad. It downloaded the amazom app and I resumed browsing. After putting $20 of items in my cart( prime items), went to check out... and low and behold there was no $10 credit as advertised in the promotional pop up! I called customer service and after being on the phone for over a half hour and speaking to two different people I had no choice but to cancel my Prime Membership. WHY do I want to be with a company that doesn't stand by their own words!?!
They solicited me with an offer so I'm not really sure what's going through their heads right now... but apparently they need the $10 more than I do, bless their little heart!

All I can say is if they dont want to honor their promotions maybe they shouldn't solicit people with little pop up windows...

The funny thing is not only did I cancel my Prime membership (for which they will have to refund me 120...) but I will not be renewing it again in the future!

So they lost 120 this year and 100's in future years...

Overall this was more of a blessing in disguise... now I'm free!

I won't have to pay 120 a year for free shipping that I use only a handful of times each year. Otherwise the only other service I was using was Amazon video... and between you and me it leaves a lot to be desired. Nothing that Netflix or Hulu cant do as well or better.

So awesome to see so many competitive deals going on. I always get things quickly and in great quality. I always shoot for new, but I have purchased a used clarisonic Mia 2 charger that is working out great.

I ordered some boots from amazon. Well I received it and the box was torn to shreds. The boots were not in the box! NO BOOTS. Come on amazon you can do better than this! Called customer service. Said that they could not reorder them for me. I said I just want my boots and was told that I would have to wait for them to see if I could get a refund. I just want my boots!

Amazon has in the last 5 years increased the amount of Chinese junk they allow sellers to market. Allot of this stuff arrives broken or non-working instead of punishing the seller for selling junk, they punish the buyer for returning it. Customer service is done with oversees call centers who can not speak English nor Spanish yet they want you to call them for help. Amazon has got to big and what is funny is Walmart is not capitalizing on Amazons fails. I used to love Amazon, I am in the top 5K reviewers in the USA so I know what I am talking about. I still use Amazon, but more and more using Walmart,

Disappointed

My first experience with Amazon: I ordered one book there but faced some troubles with delivery. Had been waiting for 2 months. Then I was informed about few more weeks. Then some amount was written off for some kind of partnership I didn't need and was not informed about initially. Though, I was glad when I found that book in the web and support processed refund promptly. That was good point. Anyway, you should do something to guarantee delivery, guys!

Amazon is my default go to for finding the best prices and reading reviews of products before buying. The customer service is great, just be sure to always purchase from an amazon affiliate in case you need to return an item. Non affiliates have very strict rules about returns, most of the time asking YOU to pay for return shipping, or else the time limit on returns is very short. This is why I stick with amazon only sellers.

I have never had an issue with Amazon. I use it for... E V E R Y T H I N G. I love being able to just type in a word and it brings up so many ideas (especially during the holiday when I am looking for gifts). I love that they offer prime if you use Amazon a lot I definitely believe prime is a good investment for you! Plus with prime, you have access to prime movies which is also amazing!

Delivery problems

Amazon wonders why it has so much trouble with deliveries--it's the idiots they hire to deliver the packages. I have a covered front porch which is protected from the street view. That's where USPS, UPS, and FedEX leave my packages. The A$$HAT who delivered my Amazon package today put it in my driveway in front of my garage door. If my neighbor hadn't noticed it, I would have driven right over it. Furthermore, it was in plain view the street and it was RAINING! So my package was soaked. I'm not ordering from Amazon ever again. There are other options where at least you'll get your packages. Every time my friend gets a package from Amazon she has to look all over her neighborhood for it. They won't come back to get it from the wrong house. She's found two of her packages, but the rest are still missing.
