I ordered a pack of eye drop bottles and I received a message from Amazon telling me that the carrier they use, which is APEC require that I provide my citizen ID and my Chinese name! Then on the same day I received another message from ECMS which says that it is a logistics provider saying that this is required by Customs in China. I don't understand why I need to provide my personal ID for buying just some eye drop bottles and why my Chinese name is required. I have ordered goods from Amazon quite a few times and this has never happened before. This is an infringement on my privacy. I am not going to provide them. Unless Amazon changes this, I will stop buying on an Amazon.com.

I ordered from my Tide button my husband bought me and I got it in a day. I didn't think it would get there fast, but that's Amazon I guess. Loved it, can't complain!

**EDIT: We have Prime, so we get it faster because we pay extra, Thought I should add that!

Amazon is great

Amazon is great for finding lower prices then normal store shopping in your local area. With all the competition it tends to drive the price down. Try sorting your filter by price and set it to low to high. Find the lowest price for the product you desire.

Dont buy on prime day

Technical problems on Amazon's part and my order did not go through. I called later but they said they did not get order and had no idea how much the firestick was selling for on that day. I just googled it and found out how much they sold for on prime day.

The site's functionality has really improved over the years. It has become really easy to use. I really didn't appreciate using it as a seller due to their policies, which is why I gave 4 stars. I haven't sold on years as a result, but the buying experience is generally positive.

Amazon is the best

I love Amazon so much. I have shopped on Amazon since the year 2000. 18 years of happiness. I've only had to send things back a couple of times and only got the wrong order a couple of times. I order hundreds of items every year. If I were asked to name some of the best things in life, Amazon would be one of them. If they are taking over the world, they deserve it. They did it right.

Easy to use

Probably not cheap but delivery is good & ordering is easy & choice is good. Access to films & TV shows is a benefit. Very time saving because you can find what you need & have it in your hands the next day. Problems are not common but difficult to resolve. I recently ordered a 10 item offer, received 5 & all queries were unanswered.

Amazon used to be this amazing company from a customer standpoint, but now that it has shut down most of its competition and continues to grow, the company is starting to tank. Prime is no longer Prime as you're paying more for it and receiving less. Two day shipping is a lie, it's more like 4 or 5 day or whenever they feel like it shipping. Returns are more difficult to make and their product pricing is steadily increasing. The media and entertainment portion is a joke. This includes both the tv and music portion. I have increasingly found better products and prices fro other companies and I am seriously considering cancelling my Prime membership. After all, what's the point if you're paying for shipping by paying a higher price and receiving it days later than the "guaranteed" delivery date?

PULLED THE PLUG

I cancelled my Prime membership after being told that I wasn't meeting the Community Guidelines for writing reviews. Two days later they restored the privilege. Two days after that, the revoked it yet again. I'm done with this company. I never been treated so badly. They never offer a valid reason for their decision. As others have stated, Amazon used to be a good company but when you get so big that when one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, then it's time to leave.
