I placed an order with 2-day shipping, but due to the quantity I ordered, I ultimately got an email stating the delivery date was now going to be over 3 weeks out. This was not acceptable for my timeline so I requested to cancel within an hour. I was told it was too far along in the shipping process to cancel. I questioned how that could be when it wasn't shipping for 3 weeks. No one could give me an answer to that. Every time they would respond with the same generic response that when items are shipping very soon, they can't be cancelled. I don't know how 3 weeks is soon. One rep had kids crying in the background and just said "ummm" for 10 minutes without providing any meaningful information at all. The "supervisor" had dogs barking in the background and gave the exact same generic response that didn't actually apply to my situation or order. Never got any resolution as no one was empowered to do anything more than try the same cancel button I have access to on my account.
Really a baffling experience that this is the type of service Amazon provides.

Recently I ordered one camera and offered delivery in a week but the money wasn't deducted from my account and they kept postponing the order for more than two week saying the reason of reviewing the account. Finally one of their managers asked me to cancel the order and redo it again and i did that for express delivery. But the same thing happened again just postponed the delivery date at the day of supposed delivery. We called for reason and they said because we cancel the first order first time so it takes time. Just nonsense. This is just fake site to me. I will never trust this site.

I have literally spent thousands with Amazon every year for at least the past 5 years. A small vitamin order for $32 was debited and then returned to my account unbeknownst to me. The first time I heard about it was when I received an intimidating letter from TRS, their collections agency. I didn't receive a notice from Amazon that they had mistakenly returned my money to me nor a payment request of any kind. I simply received an intimidation letter from their collection bureau. I have spent close to two hours with two different Amazon Supervisors who kept telling me they understood while doing nothing to satisfy this terrible business tactics employed by Amazon the moment they thought they were out $32!
I am going to their competition and you should, too. Perhaps a little less convenient, but it's time to send this clown a message!

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
