Amazon was great... Now... Amazon stinks... just try to contact them. Can't be bothered so they direct you in so many different directions. And I just wanted to report a scammer who has called me twice pretending to be Amazon... but Amazon probably doesn't give a damn anyway. Too busy collecting our money... the hell with any questions... it didn't used to be like this. They cared back in the day. Not my Amazon anymore... I even cancelled my prime.

I recently wanted to purchase a mobile phone from Amazon, so I transferred money to my friend because I do not have my own credit card I have done this before numerous times with other sites and there have been no issues.
So I did this and mistakenly put my address as the billing address. When my friend told me the money didn't go off his account. I contacted Amazon via the chat to tell them and they locked my account. Sure, because a fraudster would contact them and explain what happened.
They wanted me to prove with a billing statement. I got my friend to email me the statement and I attached. They still had a problem. They wanted me to prove that he allowed me to use his credit card. Now I replied and asked them how to do it.
They don't give you any proper feedback, it all looks automatically generated response and once they lock your account you cannot even go and ask the chat for help.
My friend created an account in his name with his credit card and they also blocked that.
I got my brother to make an account and transferred him the money and they blocked his account too.
I want to know if this is how Amazon treats all their customers. I am so disgusted with them. I have never had these issues. Also they mail you and when you try to reply the mail is rejected.
Maybe because this helps them make it seem that is case is fraud.

Seems like Amazon is in collusion with Chinese seller to scam Americans. See numerous online reviews by people who have not received either their orders or refunds from Blustercool. Amazon is not taking customer calls and online chat keeps giving runaround with what sounds like "canned" messages.
My recent experience with Amazon (the past five months) is disappointing. More and more shoddy goods (most from China), especially in the electronic department. Several products I received just plain didn't work, and I had to return them. Moreover, the source of the products (e.g., China) is often hidden and not plainly revealed in product descriptions. Moreover, deliveries are not infrequently either delayed or canceled. Not good
In addition, I don't like how Amazon treats its employees in their warehouses, from what I've read about it in the media. I am trying to wean myself away from them and have used Staples, CVS, and Target much more frequently. Much happier with them.
I have been an Amazon customer for many years and I am now a business owner and buy a lot of stuff weekly on the Amazon Business site. Searching for products have become overwhelmed with strange sellers. There is a lot of international sellers, which is great, but its very easy to order something and wait a couple weeks for it to arrive only to find it was shipped from China and will take much longer to arrive. I have learned to check where the item is coming from and look at the expected delivery date, but many people don't look for that. My wide fell victim to it recently when she ordered a chair only to find it was coming from China. The order was actually sent to the wrong address, so someone on the other side of the country received a free chair I suppose. :) I followed the tracking until it was delivered. We were refunded promptly, so no complaint about the refund process. It was right-on.
The search results are scattered with "sponsored ads" that are out of place in the results. The search results usually will sort properly and sometimes do not. If you sort by price low to high, for example, it will not actually do it all the time.
The feedback system has broken. I have had sellers cancel my order and them lie about the reason. How do I know they are lying? They cancel the order with the reason "cannot ship to the address given, please reorder with the correct address". Then you go to reorder, thinking you made a mistake, and surprise, surprise, they raised the price of the item. My address has not changed and I order regularly. When I wait the three days, which is required before you can leave feedback for a cancelled order, there is no option to leave feedback for the seller. I contacted customer service. They were very nice and forwarded the problem to tech support, but the problem remains. When I look at the profile for that seller, it shows they have 5 star, 4 star, and 3 star reviews. But if you try to look at the 3 or 4 star reviews, the page shows an error that there are no reviews matching the criteria. It's like the reviews that are not 5 star are blocked. It's not cool. These sellers need to be kicked out. I am tired of dealing with this type of thing. You get it a lot on Ebay, but never had a problem on Amazon until the last year or so.
I hope something is done about the problems at Amazon, because they are going downhill fast and they may have just lost a regular customer who buys a lot of stuff.
I bought a RAM Quick-Grip Phone Mount with Handlebar U-Bolt Base from Amazon. It ruined the stabilizer in the rear camera of my brand new pixel 3 cellphone. Ram mounts acknowledge s that there is an issue with damaging phones with their mount. Amazon told me if I got the run around from manufacturer, to message Amazon and they'll take care of it. So basically the manufacturer is saying it's not their problem and that it's not their product and so is Amazon. It's certainly not my problem as my phone worked perfectly fine before using this product, I want my phone replaced. The photos are the conversation with Amazon and the manufacturer as well as proof of purchase of both the ram mount and the cell phone.
Sending money to radical groups and taking facial recognition away from the police for a year is sick. You should be trying to help the United states do a better job and not doing the crap that you are doing. I will never buy anything from Amazon again and I am going to work on my friends not to buy anything from you again. I purchase Innocent Coconut milk all the time from my local Waitrose & whether I shop personally or get it delivered there is always a consistent 6 weeks future date on the product.
Ordering 10 bottles of the milk from Amazon Fresh, along with other organic stuff that Waitrose do not stock, to my dismay the entire 10 bottles had a less than 3 week date on them. This is appalling, as I will be throwing away almost half of the order by the time the date has expired. I cannot order from Amazon Fresh weekly as the range is not comprehensive enough, & this product does not freeze particularly well, so will not be using them again, unless desperate, & certainly wont be ordering any product in bulk.
My order has not delivered from last 10 days even it is ordered from local shop, and now after several days continuous follow up when we asked for refund, Amazon is refusing to refund. Very unprofessional and fraud business they are doing.

I am NOT a happy customer! For the past few days, when you turn on Amazon Prime, there is a notification that declares their righteous support of BLACK LIVES MATTERS (BLM). Sorry, that is upsetting and offensive. BLM is a far-left extremist organization that has never done anything for the black community. In their own words, they seek to overthrow our Constitutional republic, suppress white people, and erase our shared American history and culture. The name BLM is just doublespeak. They never did anything for improving black education and health or for stopping 3500 black deaths a year in Chicago due to black on black killings. No, they come out only in rare instances of police indiscretions to cause division through anger, fake indignation, and hate against white people. BLM is a hate group! It is so sad that Amazon has join forces in support of such a vile group of people under the guise of virtue.

Someone hacked my Amazon account & has changed all of the information over. I was a prime member for years & I've called costumer service over 5 times about someone hacking it & nothing has changed. They just keep emailing me the same password change link that sends a text to the person that has hacked it when I try to change it. They are not helpful & now my money has just gone down the drain. Thank goodness I didn't have my card info on file or else the hacker could have drained my bank account. Amazon could care else, they already got paid for the year. Will NOT be returning.
I like to buy books there, Amazon changed the world we live. People don't understand that now, but world really changed and Amazon did well to help people buy goods in the easiest way. Many companies try to copy its business model, but I don't think they will succeed, as Amazon is unique and the first-to-come, so people will always prefer it.
I never received my $200 item I placed an order for. Customer service isn't helpful so during these already hard times with COVID-19 I now have to worry I just got jacked by a huge company for $200. Don't buy from Amazons third party sellers you will get screwed.

Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
