Absolute trash company. They've screwed up two VERY important prescriptions in the last few months. This time they sent an email on 4/25 saying my dog's seizure medication was shipping 5/1; it never shipped. I emailed two days ago and got no response. I was on live chat for 40 minutes (answering the same questions multiple times) before the person told me I'd get it in 4 days. I need it TOMORROW. They had no explanation for why it didn't ship 5/1. It's on auto ship and there's a valid prescription on file. So I called and was told again they couldn't overnight it. BS. You CAN overnight it, you just WON'T. Even though it's 100% your mistake. This is all after a similar incident with different medicine for our other dog a few months ago, and that one played out the exact same way. I cancelled all future orders and my account this morning. You guys aren't dealing with food or toys, this is IRREPLACEABLE MEDICATION. Our dogs RELY on this for their LIVES. It's an embarrassment that a company this big not only can't get the orders right, but won't make it right when they do screw it up. Why would I want an account credit for a company I can't trust to do what they're supposed to do? That's not a valid solution. I'm about to tell anyone who will listen to never use this company. Horrible reliability. Horrible customer service. They just flat out don't care.
After buying medications and other items for several dogs over the years I finally gave in to the fact that Allivet is a failure at the very things they are in business to do. Fill prescriptions and supply us with items for our pets. I have dealt with the ordeal of getting the prescription approved by my vet so many times I've lost count. They will continuously tell you they never receive approval from your vet. I have been in my vets office when it was sent for the umpteenth time. This is a HUGE waste of time and resources for vet offices that are already short staffed.
If you prescription has expired, they will NOT notify you. If your credit card expiration date has expired, they will NOT notify you. If they are back ordered, they will NOT notify you. The pattern of incompetence and horrible customer service you see throughout these reviews is real.
Allivet has one job to do and they can't get it done without putting my pet in jeopardy. I will now spend more money filling the prescription at my vet because the aggravation and headache just isn't worth it.
In case anyone thinks this is a fake review, I've attached a screenshot of my order history which is actually 6 pages.
Have a dieing pet and needed med which I order and had ot send in RX which I did. They lost them then found the which took over 5 weeks. Gave them another chance and ordered again mailing n the RX which guess what they lost them again and to this date 5 weeks later no RX posted to my account no med and pet still in need of meds. After over 5 complaint calls and emails someone called me only to say they dont have the RX and must have been lost in the mail. REALLY twice lost bacd track record for me.
I called numerous times to find out why I had not received my product only to be told it would be shipping on a certain date. 3 weeks have passed and I have still not received my shipment and when I called again they finally told me it was out of stock and maybe it would ship in 3 weeks.
I signed up to order a product that was less expensive than my local vet. I was to get a prescription from my vet. I placed an order and was given the address to send the prescription to. My credit card was charged immediately in part. This co. Should have waited until I sent the prescription before making any charges on my card. Not in my opinion a way to do business.
I ordered my cat's meds. They took a couple of days and then emailed me it had been sent. Then a few days later they called to say it was backordered. And then, their customer service person's English is not good enough to understand me when I ask why their service would tell me something has shipped when they are out.
I am sitting here waiting for meds that have never been shipped. Meds my cat needs.
Do Not Use this online pharmacy. They cancel orders on you without notice and fail to return your prescription. Service is a joke too. No real answers.
You go to all the trouble, fill out the order, then you get to the part that says, will you mail in the prescription. We will fill your order after we receive the prescription. People that can't afford a vet for a chronic respiratory problem, when all they do is prescribe Orbax, shouldn't have to go to a vet every 3 months. Sites like this shouldn't mislead.
I ordered four items. They're arriving a day later than I was originally told. My tracking tells me I'm getting two items out of the four that I've purchased. My question is why was I not notified that my whole order could not be fulfilled. I have been waiting for a full week for this medication. In my opinion it is very irresponsible company that will not notify people that their orders cannot be fulfilled. I called the company to ask them why I was not notified they said that they do notify people well I was not notified. I have canceled all of my autoships I will find another company that is more responsible.
Twice had issues with getting medicine for my horse due to shipping problems. The first time, customer service lied about getting my vet's fax for the medicine order and my horse was without any medicine for 3 days. This last time, the order was shipped regular mail after 2 calls reiterating how important it was to expedite delivery since they didn't follow through the day before and my horse was almost out of medicine. Then because it wasn't shipped priority, it sat in a USPS warehouse for 3 days. By the time it came, my horse developed respiratory issues. I will have a large vet bill to treat these complications. In order to save a couple dollars shipping, they put my horse at risk. And customer service reps were clueless and refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I will never do business with this company again.
Extremely poor customer service. Called to refill a prescription. Gave me the run around, then contradicted what they said earlier, and refused to give me back my copy of the prescription so I could take it to a different pharmacy. My dog did not get her medicine in a timely manner, and I had to call the vet and get a new prescription.
On June 29,2022, Allivet mailed the wrong prescription called Simparica. The correct prescription was written for Simparica Trio. After numerous emails and two phone calls, Allivet will not own their mistake, nor will they correct the issue. They expect me to pay $91.05 for their mistake, which was charged to my credit card. Note: There was never a prescription written for plain Simparica, yet they sent me this medication. My vet confirmed that the written prescription stated, "Simparica Trio." After reviewing my online orders with an Allivet customer service rep, I pointed out that the order on June 29 stated "Simparica Trio" as stated in the order history (which is on the recorded phone call). Today, that information now says "Simparica" only. Unbelievable! The information in my account was changed to cover their mistake. Note: I have NEVER purchased plain Simparica, nor had my vet ever prescribed plain Simparica. ALL order history shows only Simparica Trio!
In addition, they told me that it's past the 30 day return policy and there was nothing they could do. I never opened the shipment when it arrived because I expected the order to be filled CORRECTLY. I should not have to "check" the company for accuracy in filling prescriptions. It is not my fault that this order was filled incorrectly, yet I am paying for Allivet's mistake.
This is the second prescription that Allivet has sent incorrecty. They are not willing to provide quality customer care or service, just excuses. It would have been cheaper for Allivet to refund my $91.05 to correct their mistake, rather than paying inept customer service reps to deny the company's error. Allivet's mistakes have cost me time and money which they do not want to recognize. I will no longer do business with unethical companies such as Allivet. Beware!
Allivet charged me for services I did not authorized and changed what how often to send prescripition to me. Then they charged my credit card and told me it would take 4-5 days before I got reimbursed. Don't trust this company and if you do watch out for fraud charges and things you do not order.

I've used Allivet in the past for both equine and canine medication without issue.
Last week I received an email stating they sent a request to my veterinarian for (routine) refill.
We are now five days out and I receive yet another email that this is their sixth attempt to reach my veterinarian for approval.
I've spoken with my veterinary practice several times they claim Allivet is being "difficult".
Practice has not only approved and returned request they've also emailed and I believe have placed phone call.
Allivet suddenly started to send the request to a veterinarian that isn't even in the practice we use.
They have however, charged my credit card $69.
There"s suddenly a disconnect at allivet.
Have they outsourced? I don't know but there's a problem!
Its the height of summer, we have enough medication through the end of the week( 3 days) then my dog will start to chew her paws raw without it.
Fortunately it's not a cardiac med.
I've just requested a refill through Chewy for which I'm sure I will receive med in 48 hours.
I will not be returning to Allivet for any further medication needs:

I honestly thought that finding Allivet for our dog's medication was wonderful, until the constant issues of never sending my dog's medication. Let me explain, every few times we order our medication (which our dog needs to live) it is never sent. I have to call and find out why. This last time is because they where out of one of them. Ok so if you are out of one why not send the other?!?! I have been a loyal customer for the last 4 years plus. Other times my order sits there until I call to find out what is going on. I got an idea why don't Allivet contact the customer if there is an "issue." It is just another company that really doesn't understand that I am not ordering vitamins, I am ordering life saving medication and to have it delayed or even not sent not only affects my sanity, more importantly, it affects my dog's life. If Allivet wants to reach out I am the one who's medication was not in so I had to call to get the other sent. APH-******* Was my order and I last spoke to Hector Novas.
Again! Multiple emails saying vet has not responded, while vet proves otherwise.
Is good price worth the delay in getting badly needed meds?
I ordered a med for my dog that they showed was in stock. I paid for two day shipping. After a couple I still hadn't received an e-mail telling me that it had shipped. When I checked my order status it said that my order was on warehouse hold. I called there and asked what that meant. I was told that the med was out of stock and once it was back in stock it would take 10-15 days to ship my order. I cancelled my order at that time and was told that it would take 3-5 days for my credit to appear on my card. Why did they charge my card when the product was out of stock. A couple of hours later I went back on their web site and it still shows the product being in stock. I will never try to use them again.
Answer: They advertise medications with photos of the manufacturers' packaging. However it seems that when a customer gets the meds they are not in the original packaging. There is really no way to verify that the meds are either authentic (as opposed to counterfeit) or that they are not expired. Individual tablets are not stamped with dates. When they failed to send me medication in the manufacturer bottle, I contacted my credit card company, then ordered from a different vendor.
