I had been receiving auto shipments from them for about 3-4 months for cardiac medications for my lab who has dilated cardiomyopathy. These are life saving meds. I usually receive my auto ship for all 4 meds around the 10th of each month. I will get an email notifying my the meds have been shipped. That did not happen this month. I called Allivet to inquire if the meds were shipped. I was informed 2 if the meds were out of stock therefore they didn't ship anything! I asked why I was not notified that the 2 medicines were unavailable so I could arrange to get through Chewy. I was then told "That's not our policy." I was just livid as these medications are literally keeping my dog alive. I told them I would call Chewy and have the 2 meds transferred to their pharmacy. The representative said she would credit my account $$293.53. I checked my credit card balance and was shocked to see that instead of crediting my account, they charged me for it again! Got back on the phone with a supervisor who assured me this would be corrected and that the 2 remaining meds who be sent next day delivery and that I would receive an email verifying that. No email was received so I called Allivet again this morning. I was told that one of the 2 remaining meds were out of stock. Words cannot describe how angry and upset I was (and still am). I spoke to a manager this time and told them to cancel this order and all future orders. I called Chewy and arranged for auto ships for all 4 medications. Their customer service is the gold standard! DO NOT do business with Allivet! They are a nightmare.
Been locked out of my account for username and password does not match even though it's saved to my computer. I've been waiting for an email to access my account for a week. I need to reprint a receipt to turn into my workplace to figure out the sales tax.
Have had issues in the past with unreliability and screwy website but this final interaction was the last straw. Placed an order 8/26/23 for four medications vital for the life of my dog plus some treats totaling over $250. Called 9/5 to inquire why shipping was taking so long. Not given an excuse but told I'd receive expedited shipping. Fine. Called back 9/7 because order was still processing. The rep said all meds plus one of the treats were out of stock. ALMOST TWO WEEKS AFTER I ORDERED THEM! Told her to cancel the order. Went back to the website to nullify any and all autoships but again, screwy website, decided to call back. This rep said the meds WERE in stock but since one of the treats I ordered wasn't, that was the cause for the delay. No contact at all via email, text or phone to inform me that my dog's life saving medications were being held up because of dental treats being out of stock. Decided at that point to cancel my account. Then I get an email stating my order was cancelled because I didn't have a valid prescription from a licensed vet. Mind you, I've ordered all of these medications before and all of the prescriptions were on file with refills available. The prices just aren't worth the hassle of dealing with straight up liars.
LIKE WITH MOST ONLINE VENDORS THESE DAYS BE PREPARED FOR HIDDEN TREACHERY. This company will send what you purchased... THEN SEND YOU MORE THAT YOU DID NOT REQUEST. THEY EMAIL YOU DAILY. THERE IS A DECEPTIVE AUTO PAY FEATURE THAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF. NOT HAPPY. THIS GROUP ARE CROOKS. AVOID LIKE PLAGUE
I ordered Tri-Heart Plus for two dogs, a one year supply for each and they only sent me a six-month supply for one dog. I will not order from them again.
I have an order still pending since 8/15/2023,,,, and it says 'PENDING FULLMENT'. So WHAT is the holdup? I have called and the person on the line that I could barely understand said they must be busy. YA THINK? I am getting incredibly upset as this is not the first problem. I won't even go into the Meds processing that my dogs require. Allivet was recommended by a friend... some friend.
They cancelled my order and kept the money, its been over one month and I still haven't receive the refund.
Silly of me I made another order for vaccines and paid for overnight shipping, 5 days later still no vaccines.
Save yourself of inconvenience and just order somewhere else.
Ordered meds for my dog and the vet told me everything was sent to them and they still claimed they never heard from my dogs vet.This was 3 days after ordering and the vet gave them everything.Stay away from they lie and put your animal in harms way with their lies.Buy it elsewhere.
I don't know where all these wonderful reviews are coming from, but I tend to think they are fake and made up. My first order with this company was sufficient, but my next order was much less than pleasant. They had all my information, all my vets information. I consistently received emails that my vet was not responding. So, I called my veterinarian, and the office told me, that Allivet may be using the wrong FAX number and they gave me the correct number. I called Allivet, and it appears I was speaking to someone from a foreign land, since the person had a very strong Asian accent. That was my first red flag, since I only like dealing with USA companies. I explained the issue with the representative, she said they did have the wrong FAX number, and so I gave her the correct FAX number and I added that I was told if the FAX still failed, they could call my vet on their direct phone number, which I gave them that phone number also. The FAX again did not work, as I was told by my vet and so I got fed up with something that should have been a simple transaction, and even if the FAX for whatever reason did not work for them, then the problem was definitely on Allivet's side. Plus they did not call the direct line. I cancelled the transaction, and the next day, Allivet had the audacity to send me an email saying they cancelled my transaction. WTH! I sent them a nasty email, and also called them complaining.
I did not wait for a reply, as in my opinion this was a very simple order, that should have been handled with no problem at all, especially since the month prior, there was no problem. This was for NexGard, for

Address may be in Florida, but it sounds like I am speaking to people overseas. So, I am not recommending this company to anyone, and if it sounds too good to be true, it most definitely always is.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. If I could give this company less than 1 star, I would.
The product I ordered came quickly and appeared to be unexpired and what I ordered. HOWEVER, I did not put the item on auto ship. Today I see a charge on my card today from Allivet. When I signed in to the site it shows the item "shipped" and on auto ship - just like other reviewers said. I won't order from them again.
My name is Jacqualynne. I ordered my dog Lucy's medication for her seizures. The lady that was taking my order told me that I would have it in 3 days it took a week to get to me. In fact, it wasn't even sent out and kill the day that she said it was gonna get to me. I called and complained and asked for a refund of $13.00 since it took a week to get to me The lady said that she was going to submit it. I have not heard from them. I did not get my $13 put back on my account for that. Any other company that I've had that happen they've always honored it. It's a guarantee. They should honor that because why else would I pay the $13 ridiculous I will not go through them again I'm going to cancel all my prescriptions I no longer want to do business with Allivet
I used Allivet for years to order my senior dogs prescription drugs. Unfortunately the last 6 months the invoiced did not indicate that payment was made and had a balance. Our pet insurance won't accept this as proof of payment. I had to call to get an invoice that indicated a balance of zero. Too much of a hassle and they wouldn't fix it. I had to switch pharmacies. I don't have time to call every time.
Allivet lied three times about the status of my order. They promised I would have the medicine the next day but they didn't have it in stock. This left us really scrambling to get the needed medicine. AVOID Allivet!
I ordered Cyclosporine for my German Shepherd, Gibbs on 6/17/23. I had 16 day supply at that time. Allivet estimated delivery 3-5 business days after vet approval. Vet approved Rx on 6/20/23.
I was traveling until 7/1/23, called Allivet to check on Rx. They said it was out of stock, no date for shipment available. I had not received ANY COMMUNICATION of this prior to calling. Gibbs is out of meds. I have canceled all prescriptions from Allivet, closed my account, and ordered Rx elsewhere. Don't let this happen to your pet.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Allivet's service. Despite placing an order for next-day shipping, Allivet shipped it two-day (but still charged next day). What made matters worse was the fact that I had to explain to the overseas call center the distinction between two-day and next-day shipping. Unfortunately, the call center was completely unhelpful and seemed to have no understanding of how poorly they were representing Allivet. Not happy and very disappointed.
I purchased a specific shampoo for my dog online. I never received an email saying it shipped, so I contacted customer service 8 days later. The customer service rep said they would send it out that day and I'll receive the next day. It never came the next day so I contacted customer service again. The rep told me that the shampoo was out of stock and it would be at least another 5-10 days before they get more. Instead of contacting me from the beginning and letting me know the shampoo was out of stock so I could get it elsewhere I waited over 10 days. Meanwhile, my dogs skin condition worsened because this company's lack of professionalism and communication. Do yourself a favor and use a different pet supplier.
First issue- Website would not permit me to submit the drug request - kept receiving error that item was not authorized to ship to AL (Alabama). I'm not in AL nor is the address for the shipment or payment. If I change the address to a state (OH) where it is restricted I receive the correct notice ( ie shipment not authorized to OH)
Second issue - called the number and went through an extremely arduous process with many language difficulties. That was early Friday. On Mon, I receive an email that they have initiated contact with the Vet. So we are three days into the process and they have not even received the RX. The dogs prescription runs out in two days. I didn't think it would take 10 days for the RX.
My first pet rx order had a huge discount which was fantastic! I continued to order from Allivet because the prices were comparable to other sites. When my cat died, I contacted them about an order that was just shipped and they kindly refunded my money. Great customer service.
Customer service must be in pakistan. Prescription called for Novox but said generic was ok, which is carprofen. They cancelled my order because of this. I sent 2 prescriptions to them as they stated that the 1st one never showed up after 2 weeks which was BS. So I had to send another. Will not be using them again,, a cpl bucks cheaper is NOT worth the hassle!
Couldn't have been a worse experience if they tried. I submitted an order and gave them all they needed to contact my vet. A week later they still had done NOTHING with it. I call they say sorry and they'll definitely contact my vet to confirm the prescription. Well they still hadn't the next day so I emailed them and again they say sorry it wasn't done but we'll "escalate it" to the verbal team, well if that happened I never heard from them. So now my doggo won't get her medicine that keeps her from having seizures. Thanks for nothing.
Answer: They advertise medications with photos of the manufacturers' packaging. However it seems that when a customer gets the meds they are not in the original packaging. There is really no way to verify that the meds are either authentic (as opposed to counterfeit) or that they are not expired. Individual tablets are not stamped with dates. When they failed to send me medication in the manufacturer bottle, I contacted my credit card company, then ordered from a different vendor.
