I have used Allivet for years. Their prices and selection are wonderful. Their processing of orders is getting slower and slower. Their FAQ states they ship within 24 hours of getting a valid prescription. My last several orders have in limbo for days after receiving a refill order (once more than a whole week) before shipping. They have claimed my vet was only providing refills for 3 months at a time when my vet showed me they were authorizing 6 months at a time. Not sure what has happened, but they are not behaving like the old allivet.

I found out my cat is diabetic and needs insulin injections. My vet had never used allivet, but was told they ship overnight and we could get her started right away. (Her Glucose Levels were in the mid 300s and she's 10, so it was kind of a matter of life or death). It took a week to actually get the product, and it wasn't even what I needed. When I called to order in the first place, the person I spoke to literally had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for the insulin My vet recommended. I decided to have my vet call and assist me in ordering. They did (because they're amazing!) and called me back letting me know that allivet would be able to get it out to me if I registered my email on their site. I did without complaint, and I thought I would receive the stuff the next day. I never received any kind of confirmation from allivet, so I called the following day. After a bunch more confusion (even though my vet office ordered the stuff for me), I was told that I would have everything I needed to get my cat started on her injections. Since I had never done this before, I thought we were just off to a rocky start and I decided to trust the guy. I NEVER received an email with a receipt for my purchase. The ONLY email confirmation I got for ANYTHING was a confirmation email after registering to their site. When I finally got the stuff, I took it to my vet to learn how to administer the shots and she literally said my 120$ insulin was completely unusable. (allivet is much more expensive than other places but I thought I was paying for convenience. This was the price after their discount...)
To make an already long story short, I called several times to have the situation rectified, but they assured me there was nothing they could do except charge me extra for the things I DID actually need. This also meant I had to wait longer to start the injections and time wasn't really on my side. After several more days of back and forth, I finally asked for a supervisor and we agreed that I would be refunded. I never got a processing email for the refund or anything. Not surprised. In fact, I called several days later and the man assured me that I would most certainly receive a receipt for the refund that day. Nope.
I did finally receive an email for my initial purchase and my refund TODAY. It only took ANOTHER week and I've only been dealing with this since the end of December.
I will NEVER use allivet again. My veterinarian said This was her first and last time using them as well. It's obvious that this company has no education on the products they sell, their employees are incompetent and their customer service is horrendous. If you care about your pet, consider getting your products elsewhere.

On more than one occasion I have had Allivet charge my bank account and not ship my dogs meds for up to 5 days later. I call them, rather than autoship as my dog has cancer and his meds change every few months. They have a standing prescription for the meds I need and this usually occurs on refills. I ask them to please ship the same or next day that I order and they don't. Meanwhile the monies are on hold on my account and I cannot order meds from my vet or take a prescription to a local pharmacy until they release the funds. Chewy ships the same or next day every time.

I recently ordered prescription pills from Allivet. I had to call them after trying to purchase them online. When I tried to purchase them online, Allivet refused the promo code they sent me in an email where the code was not expired. When I spoke with a disgruntled representative, she would not give me the promo code discount either. I finally asked to speak with a manager. The manager apologized, took my order for the prescription with the promo code. Good. I'm finished. The order arrived a few days later with issue. Today, three weeks later, I was paying bills and noticed another charge on my credit card from Allivet for the full amount, no discount, of the prescription. The prescription is 180 pills, I haven't ordered more since Dec. 16, so why on earth would I be charged for more pills? I called Allivet to inquire. The representative told me I had placed my prescription on auto-ship. Apparently, the manager accidently did that. He told me that if I didn't want the pills for my dog every 30 days, then I shouldn't have put it on auto-ship. I told him I didn't. He said I don't believe you. Be more careful when you order online. I told him I didn't get to order online because the Allivet website wouldn't take the promo code that they had sent me. Well, long story short, unless it's too late for that, he argued with me. Now I have to look out for a shipping label and return the product when I receive it. I'm not ordering from them any more. They are rude, incompetent and unapologetic.
