Do not buy this insurance, very bad service, they will not cover what they promise. Their contracts are so tricky, so when something needs to be fixed they will tell you it is not covered in contract, you will have to wait for service for weeks.

Their service is a scam. I have been a member for over a year. I paid for my membership and each service call is another $75. I had 2 service call that either service was denied or the last time they damaged my appliances. Not count hours and hours I had to take off the work to deal with their customer service with no result.
Stay away from this terrible company. Told to cancel weeks ago and been charged now 2 times
They now say there is a cancelation fee. Spent 2 hours explanning issue. They have the calls recorded. They know this is dishonest. Stay away!
THE REPAIR COMPANY'S AHS USES ARE TERRIBLE. USED 2 TIMES FOR WARRANTY WORK. FIRST WAS A WASHER THEY USED ADA REPAIR. WITHOUT GOING IN TO DETAILS THIS MUST BE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH IT TOOK 27 DAYS TO REPAIR MY WASHER. THE SECOND COMPANY WAS FOR WATER HEATER. THEY USED AIR PRO MASTERS. THEY ARE A VERY DISHONEST COMPANY. THE CHARGED FOR ITEMS THEY TOLD ME WAS REQUIRED TO PASS INSPECTION FOR A PERMIT AND I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY FOR THEM. I CALLED THE CITY I LIVE IN AND WAS TOLD ITS NOT NEEDED TO GET A PERMIT, THE COMPANY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND AND TELL ME IT IS REQUIRED. ALSO TOLD ME THE CITY CHARGES $225 FOR THE PERMIT, I CALLED THE CITY THEY ONLY CHARGE $ 50.00. I TRIED TO CONTACT AHS AND FILE COMPLAINTS BUT THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. RECOMMEND YOU USE ANOTHER WARRANTY COMPANY
You will never speak to anyone who can do anything. Phone calls go directly overseas. This company doesn't respond and even yelled at a vendor.
I strongly advise anyone considering AHS Insurance to think twice before entrusting them with the protection of one's home. Their unhelpful attitude, excruciatingly slow process, and lack of meaningful assistance have made our experience a regrettable one. It is clear that this company prioritizes profit over
HAD AHS years ago at another home, used in past they did minor repairs as stated.
This year after having to use for HVAC that was bought and serviced by SEARS SINCE 2001, HAD EXTENDED WARRANTIES ON IT. Sears ended service 2 yrs ago with their issues, so bought American home shield,( 2021) plan that that would pay certain dollar amount if can't repair. AHS would not honor this because they said it had not been maintained. Sears did servicing all those years and one other company after ended contract. It had to be maintained or it would not have lasted that long. They said I could clean compressor which would damage old unit per 2 other companies and their service co. Said
the same. Cost was too high for an old unit with a 1 yr warranty, so I replaced after 6 estimates. Escalated complaint to management to no avail. THEY DO NOT HONOR OR WANT TO FIX OR PAY FOR ANYTHING...as in past years ago.
Biggest scam of a company I have ever come across. Save yourself the time and money by not using this "company".
I spent thousands of dollars over the years on this "insurance." I spent hundreds of hours trying to get them to fix my fridge, and other appliances. The short version is: they are a scam. Do not give them your money. Trust me. I beg you. Just run.
This company is a scam. We purchased their highest teir of coverage because we were buying an older home with a lot of pre-installed appliances. Not only have they refused to cover any of our claims, they a incredibly dishonest about it. Most recently our glass strove top broke while we were boiling water on it. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a normal pot of water. When the glass broke, we weren't even in the room. They made us pay $85 dollars for a service guy to come out and take pictures of it and then after nearly a week, they said it couldn't be covered because it was not normal wear and tear. Apparently, boiling a pot of water on the stove is not normal wear and tear. They told me that the service person reported it that way, but the service company told me they did not say that. They said I would have to pay another service call to have a second opinion but would not allow me to choose the company. This is only the latest of their terrible service and I cannot stress enough that they are scammers and liars and you should not give them your bussiness.
I have been dealing with AHS for several months now, and my experience with their customer service team has been nothing short of frustrating.
I have been attempting to obtain reimbursement for my Air Conditioner (AC) invoice, which I submitted with all the necessary documentation. Despite repeated promises and assurances from their representatives, the process has been riddled with delays and inconsistencies.
Recently, a representative told me that my reimbursement request was approved and that I would receive a check within 14 business days. However, my hopes were dashed when I called last week, only to be asked to resend an invoice that my property manager had already sent months ago.
I complied promptly, even submitting an electronic copy of the invoice to clearly demonstrate that it had been fully paid. Yet, my numerous calls to inquire about the status of my reimbursement have yielded disappointing responses that have left me frustrated and concerned.
While I hope for a resolution, it is disheartening to see the lack of communication and transparency within AHS's customer service department. I believe it's essential to share this experience with others to shed light on the ongoing saga of my reimbursement.
I will continue to update this review to keep everyone informed about how this situation progresses. It's my hope that AHS takes this matter seriously and works towards improving their customer service to prevent others from facing similar frustrations.
Awful service they dont honor their contracts. Dont use! They Send vendors who don't carry the equipment they need to service the jobs, they do not have enough vendors to service the areas they claim to service. Customer service is rude, and the rip people off. RUN and don't use them.
Terrible service, washer has been broken for over 3 months still not fixed, every time we call AHS we get a different rep that we repeat the story to them over and over again, they make promises and then nothing gets done about it. Even the tech they asked to come out to us, did a video call and did not even come out to see the washer and then when he did come out, he was terrible and did not fix the problem and then the tech told AHS that he replaced 2 parts which was a lie, no-one takes them seriously and that is why the washer is still broken 3 months later. I would not recommend AHS to anyone, unless you just want to pay and get no service. A total waste of money...
AHS leaves much to be desired as far as customer service. My refrigerator went out on 9/5/23. The vendor scheduled a repair date for 9/26/23. This is insane. I have 2 medications that needs to be refrigerated. I have already wasted $250.00 worth of food due to this problem. Multiple phone calls to AHS (customer service) has been to no avail and the vendor "Express Service" won't follow-up with them or me, in request for an earlier date. I will be doing a review on them also.
I made a service request on August 10 today is September 18. I had a technician come on September 1, look at the electrical issues and say they to get the invoice approved. I look on the portal and it says my service has been completed even thought no work was ever done. I call AHS and ask if I can get a different technician and the response from AHS is their protocol is wait for the technician. It is almost winter and I cannot get my issue
They assign ticket to their one & only plumber and had to wait TWO DAYS for them to show up.
RIDICULOUS that any customer has to wait TWO DAYS
My mom and dad had been AHS customers for 29 years and paid well over ******* dollars only to have to cover over $7000 out of pocket for ac replacement a week after my father died. We I called to complain, they offered no relief. The rep was cold and callous. Then we decided to cancel and they charged her close to $400 in administrative fees. To add insult to injury, they would not allow the small refund to be applied to a different (active) credit card as the card on file had been canceled. They are a HORRID company who don't care about anything but their bottom line. There are no words.
Dryer and mircrowave repaired 45 days ago, of which are now having the exact same issue. AHS required me to pay another 100 each appliance to send someone out to fix the same thing. I have 5 policies with this company and will be canceling ALL of them at the end of this paid month. DO NOT...the call center agents hang up on you repeatedly when they do not know the answer and the entire company is useless. TERRIBLE. SCAM
I can't say for certain that this company is run by a demonic horde sent by the Dark Lord to destroy your life, but the evidence suggests that it probably is.
I called for service and spoke to, I assume, a minor devil that seemed to be based either in India or the second circle of Dante's Inferno. I didn't want to pay a $75 service fee unless my request was covered, so I clarified that my contract did, indeed cover my request. In between the snarling and gnashing of teeth, I was assured it was. This might have been my fault and I may have misunderstood the message - it was difficult to hear over what I assume was the screams of tortured souls in the background.
AHS contacted a local business who had a lower rating than Envy on Rotten Tomatoes and a reputation for corruption. After collecting the $75, a small, hooven, demidemon showed up at my front door. I say this only because he was unable to cross a line of salt I had placed down after the smell of brimstone became overwhelming when he showed up. He told me that AHS would cover the repair, but he would have to order the part. In a blinding flash of lavender light, he disappeared back to, what I can only assume was the netherworld from which he came.
Concerned that the part he was going to order would be smithed from the bowels of Hell, I called AHS to follow up. I spoke to a different minor devil - the name I have written down is Beelzebub, but I could have misunderstood what he said, again because the howls of terror in the background. I whispered the Lord's Prayer for protection and was told that I was being "aggressive" and that B-bub would hang up on me if I didn't stop. I ceased my protective utterances because I really needed my bathroom faucet fixed and I already paid $75. I was then asked if I knew what my mother was doing in Hell - I think, it was in Latin and seemed to be back masked, so I might have been mistaken. After the cackles subsided, B-Bubs told me that the repair devil they had summoned had denied my claim. They told me I could pay an additional $75 to have another mutated horror show come and track the ashes of Hell through my home and deny my claim again.
Long story short, they lie, they steal, they are corrupt and seem to be run by demons.
