I have never heard of or imagined that a hospitality business would be as rude, ruthless and downright EVIL as Agoda.com. Last week, I booked and paid through Agoda a room for 7 days for a coworker who was coming to town. On the arrival day, the coworker fell sick and a different coworker came on her behalf. What would have been a minor accommodation was regarded as a most unforgivable violation by Agoda. No change of guest party was allowed. Even the one who paid Agoda, I, with the credit card receipt and check-in voucher to show the hotel, was not allowed to check in. To make the long story short, I was ripped off by Agoda for $4,600. I only got as close to the hotel as the check-in counter and stood there arguing with Agoda staff over the phone for three hours. No check-in, no room because no change of guest was allowed. No refund! If you think Agoda is a bargain, you are asking for more than you bargain for. Book directly with the hotel, the illusional discount is not worth ruining you trip. Cut Agoda out of the equation!
I had a bad experience with Agoda... unlike booking.com or MMT... which promptly clear the dues in time after guests check-in is done... in case of Agoda... you need to run... with no. Of email. Reminders... after loosing a due for 5-day checkin of a guest.i cancelled out from Agoda... be careful with this company. Seems all china based employees.
I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars, I would. This company not only has a shoddy website that will charge you twice, but then refuse to give you a refund for a hotel that you did not even stay at. Even after going to the hotel and speaking to the manager there, and getting told that it would be fine to get a refund all we needed was the waiver, Agoda still could not provide the waiver in an appropriate time and so we had to go another route to get our refund. Thankfully PayPal isn't as negligent as agoda I would never recommend this to anyone, keep your $10 that they're saving you for the headache that you're going to have.
Whatever you do, dont use this company, we booked and paid for our hotel stay, the hotel turned us away as they said they dont use Agoda anymore, now wont give me a refund.

This company is a scam. Absolutely no customer service and very aggressive spam messages. I purchased a ticket and they flight was canceled but they wouldn't refund any money FOR the entire 4 day trip. STAY AWAY!
I booked a Air ticket for Vietnam. After full payment, it states that to confirm it will take another 24 hours. What an idiotic response. No helpline, no call centre, no customer care except BOT over site. Ridiculous.
I don't know whether, I will get tickets or money has been lost.

Its really sad to say that, on the Agoda website they charge a high amount for booking hotels, and believe me its not even worth of 3star hotel, they don't even verify the property, I don't recommend this for business travelers solo women, it's disgusting and annoying, the number which is provided@ confirmation receipt, no one picks the call.its big scam with huge commission involved in, its zero customer service
They partner with disgusting hotels then refuse to refund your money. I checked into hotel it was infested with roaches I left immediately called for refund a week later after fighting they refund on an agoda gift card. Why would anyone want a gift card for a company that they don't trust. It's a scam do not use.
FACT
1.I booked and paid in full for an apartment almost 4 months in advance of an overseas trip to Thailand.
2.30 MINITES before my arrival at the apartment Agoda called to say it was no longer available as it was being "renovated".
3. AGODA left me stranded in a foreign country with NO ACCOMODATION.
4. compensation offered… Agoda points- no thanks!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, OR THEIR PARTNER "TECH RENTELS PATTAYA" THEY ARE VERY UN-PROFESSIONAL!
Impossible to cancell hotel reservation and communcation with their customer service costs money. Not sure even this option works (meeting AI)?
I would never recommend booking with Agoda. They are just cheaters. You book a room in hotel and you get therf you find totally different and worse quality than you been promised when you did the booking. You just find yoyrself facing the facts. You can not cancel youf booking because it would be too late and if you do you loose you money and have to find another hotel at the time when you need to have rest instead of searching new hotels. I was stupid when I did my booking with Agoda. I will never do it again.

My card was charged no less than 400$ a fee days later, when asked for an explanation they said amount is on hold to confirm that ur card works and reservation went through.
I had to cancel my reservation and its been 3 weeks and i still haven't received my refund
Agoda now directs me to the hotel to ask for my refund.
My claim is also handled by multiple people for some reason and so i keep repeating myself and getting absolutely no where!
Though they did nothing to keep their end of the bargain, their care customer satisfaction is almost 0%!
If you travel alot don't let their rates DECEIVE you, AGODA IS A PRANK
They cancel my flight and did not refund back the money, the airline has said the refunded back to AGODA, but AGODA is unwilling to return that money to customer, and as customer we have to bear the cost, not only we did not get the refund back which is their FAULT, I have purchased by own ticket at the airport I am stuck in! They cancel my Return flight from my destination!
I booked a hotel in Taif, Saudi Arabia but I was denied room since hotel was preoccupied. I requested the receptionist but all in vain
We made a reservation through Agoda. Due to water supply issue, the hotel agreed to refund one night. Since the booking through Agoda, we needed to contact the agent in order to get our refund. I contacted them via message, but it said they had a sysmtem issue and would respond later. I waited for a couple of days and messaged them again. I didn't get any response this time, so I emailed and waited for a couple of days. Still have no response so far.
Booked hotel, price was let say 100$, after move confirmation page they write price was freeze for 19min, on payment page still 100$, after click confirmed I was charged in 200$, per night. Is double of price that was on page. I contacted Agoda service, explain situation. They just told me that price may be changed. I come back to website page, check price is still 100$. I asked them to show me price history, like to prove that is impossible. Before buying price 100$, in moment was 200 and after buying again 100$. After 3 days again 100. I called them and ask how is possible. They said is no any technical problem u was charged 200 is correct. This is make me delete account in Agoda and never comeback. Crazy.

I'm in Singapore, came in today morning. Booked 8Nights using Agoda website at Hotel Boss. It's a Triple Room with Balcony as Per the Agoda website. But the Hotel has bluntly refused to provide a room with a Balcony. The room has no openable windows. The toilet sink is all clogged. No Foot Mats. Extremely poor service. Most Importantly feel cheated by Agoda as they have clearly sent an email to deal with the problem yourself. Paid almost 1.30 lakhs for 8 Night to Agoda so the hotel says talk to them for your problems not us.
Family vacation ruined thanks to trusting Agoda. Strongly recommend that nobody should trust this company and what they post on their website about hotel properties and their amenities. Very Unhappy with the experience. Singapore lost all its charm in the eyes of a traveller.
Actually I was traveling with my family, same day I booked hotel via Agoda when I reached the location didn't find the hotel asked surrounded didn't know about the name, call Agoda customer care they unable help by saying hotel agent not responding calls and it was 8pm night and fully tried.
While deep down over internet came to know actually hotel name is different what shown on Agoda site.
However reached hotel and show them the confirmation email to receptionist and they not acknowledge by saying we have no booking. I feedup and asked if get room and they double.
Later I called to Agoda cc and they saying sorry sir you will refund your amount what you have paid to us.
We can't help much.

Absolute fraudulent company took our money and then cancelled booking. Contacted them and even though we had statements and receipt number and their confirmation email they dont want to know keep sending emails requesting more information now they say its not the email account thats registered DONT USE THEM

Answer: I don't bother making lists just search for where I am going and select the best deal for at least 1 mth before its needed and keep track of prices

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
