Looking for hotel in Bangkok. Option 1 just room, price A. Option 2,room plus airport transfer, tea/coffee, drinking water, price B. I chose option 2, but when at hotel all option 2 extras are include in option 1. So agoda are conning/ scamming people into paying more for extras which are free!
I booked online with this site. Had never used them before and will absolutely NEVER use them again. I get to the place I'm staying. I had reserved a King bed and received a room with a single Queen bed. There were no extra pillows due to the place being booked and I had 3 pillows to use between me and my husband when I should have had more due to booking a larger bed. I did not pack extra, 1 to save space and 2, because I know what I reserved and what I should have received. Not only was it an inconvenience, it was more money out of pocket due to having to go to a store and buy pillows! I have neck issues. I would have came prepared but I've never had a site screw up my booking so this has never been an issue. I spoke with the front desk and was given print out of the information they received, 1 Queen bed. I receive an email from Agoda basically telling me they cant do anything and the outcome of me request will be determined by the property's decision...Ummmmm, hello...The property didn't screw up! They only went by the information provided by Agoda! Agoda should take responsibility for their screw up. That being said, use a different booking site! This one is a headache!
My recent booking experience with Green park ambaji through Agoda on 23/12/2023 was nothing short of a disaster. The chaos began when we discovered two hotels with the same name side by side, each denying our online reservation.
The first hotel claimed not to accept online bookings, while the second offered a room at an exorbitant price. Desperate, we attempted to contact the given phone number, leading us on a wild goose chase across different cities and unresponsive property owners.
After countless calls, we finally reached someone who provided yet another number. This pattern continued until it became evident we had fallen victim to a scam, leaving us stranded at midnight. Agoda's customer care was equally frustrating, with a language barrier adding to the ordeal.
Now, Agoda is demanding proof of our visit, conversations with the property owner, and more. This experience highlights Agoda's lack of support staff in India and their blatant disregard for customer well-being.
Save yourself the trouble – steer clear of Hotel Green park ambaji and Agoda. This site and hotel have proven to be a nightmare, and I urge anyone reading this to choose more reliable alternatives for their bookings.
I booked with Red Roof Inn on 11/24-11/25 and was charged for cancellation. It's been over a month and I still have not received my refund they charged me for cancellation. They are crooks & scammers.
They are scammers sitting there collecting people's money! I made reservation and call the hotel to confirm after three days. The hotel told me that they canceled today's ago. When i contacted agoda they said the reservation is cancelled they making up stories. They said they are going to refund my money. After he hang up the phone he send me emails saying that zero refund (very much they rip my money). I paid for two person they took my money saying that cancellation fee for something that I didn't cancelled! They cancelled and take my money saying that cancellation fee interesting! Stupid people
I booked with Agoda for Philippine while checking the room the travel partner Orient Pacific charged me for the same hotel same date & same name. The hotel even requested for refund., all these customers services has same stories 48 hrs will resolve, more than 2 months nothing has resolve. Do you think I will do business with them anymore? Apparently,Agoda has all these travel partners not in sync with them. If I use booking.com, they will remind me, are you sure? U are booked already. At least the website is not flaky. I have group booking for New York paranoid to even click Agoda website. Don't trust them anymore.
I had booked by flight via agoda found on kayak search with very minor price difference and i went with them as it was my first experience. The flight got cancelled when I was at the airport because my connecting flight was cancelled for sone reason. I spoke with the airlines and they confirmed that my booking agent will get full refund for that as I didn't book with them directly they can not refund me directly. I called Agoda and asked them to get me another flight. I sugested them a flight from the same airport with couple hours later. They quoted me 1800 for the flight which was showing me 1200 on airlines website. I told them that I see the same flight ticket for 1200 then they responded that i can go ahead and buy directly but if i buy directly then i will loose 600 from my refund for their service charge. So if i need full refund then I ll hv to purchase ticket from them only. I didn't want to give any further business to them and anyways I was loosing 600 any way I chose to buy the ticket directly. They gave me real hard time for the deducted refund later too. Beware of this scammers. Read they terms conditions so carefully or you will regret.

I urge you to address these concerns promptly and take corrective measures to ensure a more reliable and transparent booking process for your future guests and more over the behavior of Mr. Nooruddin, the receptionist on duty. I encountered Mr. Nooruddin, and unfortunately, his conduct was far from the level of professionalism and courtesy I expect from a hospitality service.
Rudeness and Lack of Courtesy: Mr. Nooruddin displayed a consistently rude and discourteous attitude towards both myself and other clients already reviewed previously while am reviewing in Google reviews. His tone and demeanor were not only unprofessional but also created an unwelcoming atmosphere.
Customer Dissatisfaction: As a client, I value a positive and respectful interaction with hotel staff. However, Mr. Nooruddin's behavior left a lasting negative impression on my overall experience.
I believe that exceptional customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry, and I trust you share my concern about maintaining high standards.
I kindly request that you address this matter promptly, perhaps through additional training or counseling for Mr. Nooruddin, to ensure that such instances do not occur in the future. Excess charge by Agoda,, terrible experience
Please note that I had booked two rooms on booking ID-11**48***through Agoda,however I didn't received free breakfast with this booking whereas I had selected for breakfast since was traveling with family.
On the other hand my sister booked same booking (ID- 2**49**4 and 2***914*)
On same guest name for one more night with hotel directly and that room includes free buffet breakfast.
In conclusion, I paid more amount to agoda without breakfast and booking directly with hotel gave me more benefits.
Agoda is fraudsters company which are looting money from public...
I would recommend everyone to please check other options before going with Agoda.

This site is out of Singapore and claim no responsibility for their intentionally deceptive practices. They never disclosed additional charges on my room as well as having to check in and out everyday which has added unnecessary daily deposits of over $250 from my account that to this date have not been refunded. Don't pay Aboga and don't even stay at the Golden Nugget laughlin. Absolute joke.
We select 4 adult & 2 rooms & we select the room & pay all amount then in booking confirmation we can see only 2 room for 2 adult. When I connect with agoda customer service got very rude respond & we have to extra 3000/- to hotel.
We tried to find and book a hotel for our trip to Tokyo, Japan in January 2024. On Agoda site, we found this Villa Fontaine hotel rate that seems reasonable and convenient. Press the enter key and thought confirming the dates. The message of reservation confirmation message popped up right away. Sent a message to Agoda to request cancellation and request waiver within one minute of the message pop up. Received a reply email within 40 minutes from Agoda by stating No waiver will be offered. The last communication is either forfeit the fees paid or negotiate with hotel for cancellation with US$400 penalty (no promise that this will be successful).
I used my credit card to book a hotel through Agoda. They sold my credit card details to scammers. The scammers stole $250 each day that I was away! In total they stole $1750. I can prove Agoda sold my credit card details because I have not given my credit card details to any other company. Only discovered the fraud when I got home. Do not use this company.
I was living in Lakeshore hotel in Tainan Taiwan for a five day visit from Nov. 9-14,2023. The experience of staying there was really an unpleasant one.
I was declined to use their fitness room because I didn't have sneakers which I forgot to bring with me on this trip. I need to do my weight lifting everyday due to some health issues. But no matter how I pleaded, I even offered them to stay with me for just 30 seconds, and they refused it. I think they are so unfriendly and certainly has very poor customer service. Because of that, I'll never stay there again and I won't recommend it to others either. I also got upset with Agoda because of them. I'll probably no longer use Agoda either.
This service is awful. Unresponsive. The place I was booked into was horrible. The owners didn't speak English. They made no attempt to communicate or answers questions. We left without staying there. When I reached out to Agoda for a refund, all I got was a superficial response saying they are reaching out to the owners of the establishment. An answer will be provided in 24-48 hours. That was weeks ago. I am still waiting. They are not responding to follow up emails from me. Never use them. The worst.
I booked a hotel with Agoda when I realized it was the wrong hotel so I canceled it right away! They took the money and they refused refunding me my money. Do not book with this company...
Agoda booked me twice and charged me $253 and will not admit it, avoid them at all costs. I will never book through Agoda they are useless.
We booked our hotel about 4 months prior to our trip to Rome (booked it in August, the trip was in November), paid for it twice because it seems like Agoda keeps your card details against any user privacy protection data. We contacted their customer service and got 3-4 different replies, asking for bank statements and merchant's details when the statement was already attached to every email we sent.
Moreover, they kept lying that the property didn't respond to them but we luckily managed to talk to the owner and he initiated the refund within 2 days, whilst Agoda took a week just to play pingpong with our issue.
Very disappointed, will never use it again for any further bookings.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
