I just saw some other reviews with similar experience that I had with Agoda. I booked a hotel via Agoda and Agodo charged my credit card. However, by the time we arrive at the hotel, the hotel said they had never received any information or money about my booking from Agoda. It was a busy weekend and all hotel rooms were booked. I almost ended up sleeping in the street like a homeless!
Worst service. Make sure never book from this website.
I made my booking in a hotel on Agoda website. The hotel denied my booking said we don't care Agoda booking. It was late evening I am on a pilgrim travel with my parents with luggages. I had to look for different place to stay at last I found different place to spend night obviously from different source. I am never going to use agoda again. They don't have any proper channel of customer service also whom you speak or write. Number doesn't work and person on chat takes their on sweet time to write they have literally made me wating for 4 hours and still no solution.
A very unprofessional company with bad attitude of dealing with customers. They are luring the customers with attractive offers and when customer tries to book, he /she will get regular errors and then suddenly it will book with wrong package so that you are stuck & the payment is made. They will refund you but only in Agoda cash so that you are forced to make a booking with them again at 10%-15%% higher rate that was offered. I still did and received a confirmation that but that too was cancelled next day saying leg in updating the website or the last room was booked before you paid. Surprisingly the rooms are still available on theirs and all websites at 25-30% higher rate.
That's their plan. This had happened with me twice and now i deiced to close my account & uninstall this app. I strongly recommend not to use them if you want to save your money.
I they say they will refund it back to the credit card, but will take 30-45 business days, so you money is stuck for more than 2 months. And you keep chasing them for no fault of yours.
The only fault being you trusted AGODA, so you have to pay the price.
They canceled our reservation that was confirmed at the last minute even though it was confirmed and paid for. STAY AWAY! We are seeking litigation to recover.
Agoda has a "No Cancellation" policy for Hotel Reservations. In my experience, this is a common policy with booking agencies. However, I placed a Reservation for TWO nights at a Hotel. When I received the Confirmation email from Agoda, Agoda had "modified" my reservation to FIVE nights. I contacted Agoda Customer Service and they refused to Cancel or correct the Reservation. Agoda, per their "Policy", charged my credit card for Five Nights. I have filed a Fraud Claim with my Visa credit card company. Do Not Use Agoda. They are Crooks!
False promises. Poor customer service. Poor and exorbitant pricing inspite of minimum price guarantee. Offered room price Euro 105 when the hotel has fixed pricing of around Euro 75. Placed full trust in Agoda. Came to know after checking in so price protection was meaningless.
The COMPANY fraudulently debited my card 2130aed equivalent to N520 000 naira from the card i registered with them. It happened 2weeks ago i have lodged several complaints but they refused to refund my money for BOOKING i never made. Be careful with this COMPANY do not put your card with them. They are scammers

Made a reservation and confirmed with a credit card. The property said the reservation did not exist. I was on the phone for over 2 hours trying to get a refund and it never happened.
If you make the mistake of making a reservation with Agoda, you will be in pain!
I took a screenshot of the price of a room in Vietnam hotel, just in case. The screenshot showed that the room would cost $65. The taxes and fees were $12.32, but the bill was $91.81. Somehow, $14 had disappeared. One agent told me that the reason why there was a $14 fee was because the transaction was in local currency and that was included on the statement. Absolutely false. All transactions on the statement were in USD. Nowhere was this $14 fee listed on the invoice or confirmation. After 10 emails, they admitted that the $14 fee is a local currency fee that is paid to Agoda.
The virtual Customer Service link is hopeless. It does not answer questions. You need to assign your questions to one of the categories. If your question does not fit into the categories, you will just keep looping around in vain!
It took me 5 hours, 11 emails, and 3 telephone calls to make and pay for an Agoda hotel reservation for 1 night. After a 58-minute telephone call to make the payment, the transaction did not go through. They emailed me to say that the problem was my card. I told them that I had several transactions since the 58-minute call.
So, they sent me a secure link to make the payment. Oops! The link had expired.
Then they fixed their problem but didn't bother to let me know. So, I had to email them again to find out if the payment had been made. That's when I discovered that the transaction had been completed. Never again!
So, if you make a reservation with Agoda, take a screenshot of the room price, and prepare to spend 5 hours finding out why you were overcharged, 5 hours and 11 emails, and 3 telephone calls to make the payment.
Oh, and if you think you can speak with a Supervisor, no chance of that! They just put you on hold!
This company lists properties that do not exist, as well as those which are no longer associated with Agoda and/or OYO.
Customer service is slow and intentionally 'misunderstands' communication to avoid owning up to their mistakes and refunding incorrect charges. I am owed money and despite providing all the information that has been requested i keep going in circles.
Avoid at all costs
I took my family to a beach vacation just to find the place in unsafe location, the street to the beach is surrounded by trash and construction debris. The beach is full of trash. We had to leave to find a different place to stay, not from Agoda of course.
I requested the refund but was offered 10% of credit to the account wish I doubt I'd be using it again.
Worst ever experience booking through Agoda. Booking and payment done for hotel room through Agoda and recieved a confirmation email. But on arrival, found that the hotel has no information and I was refused the room. Tried calling on the phone number but doesn't connect. Sent an email for the issue. Never responded. Lost my money and peace of mind. Worst situation when you arrive at an unfamiliar place with wife and kid.
Does not provide possibility to pay in full 48 hours before check in. When you write via email they do not respond.

Be carefull while you are booking resort/hotel for your family with agoda.
Their screen price is not inclusive of children and you feel they are cheaper compare to other websites.
When you receive the payment confirmation you will come to know the children is not added only adult can stay.
Nobody will taking care either property or agoda.
Thery will say only an apologize or sorry to you.
Now if you still want to continue to stay then you have to pay the additional amout for children or you have to loose your full amount.
Now you can decide it's up to you and I will paste here the screen shots for your proof.
First of all, every day, there is a different price for the room you booked. I booked a room and then found it on their site for $50 cheaper the next day I wrote to them About their price matching and they Pretty much said too bad! We chose a room with a balcony, and when we got to the hotel, we were put in the worst room, 3rd floor, no elevator, all the way at the back of the hotel with a view of the dumpster and no balcony. The people at the hotel we're nice. They said they would've upgraded us to a balcony, but they were full. The only reason why I booked this hotel room is because it had a balcony. Very disappointed in Agoda, first time I used it and it will be my last time I use it.
Hotel room was denied to be assigned to the guest, even after call confirmation and email confirmation, the staff denied to allot the room when we reached in the night. They confirmed in the morning that the room is going to be provided when checked in, but at last min they denied saying we won't give. Very terrible experience
I have booked a hotel in Musandam Oman and Agoda team did not passed total number of people to hotel. Now hotel has denied 2 of my family members to take free breakfas and dinner including at time of booking. In My booking it clearly shows total number of people included in deal. Now i have to pay extra to get breakfas and dinner.
The pathetic part is there is no one to contact. No number is connecting no help center is responding from last 2 hours. Overall dissatisfied.

Charged me twice for a booking and refused to refund one of the bookings. Tried contacting customer service but we're openly rude and didn't care. Ended up paying over 1000 for a room I never used. Just really disappointed
Paid 5900 per night through Agoda.
Provided PRESIDENTIAL room with RO water filled bottles, no valley view, no toiletries (shaving Kit, dental kit).
The same room is otherwise available for 3.1 to 3.5k directly or through different websites.
I couldn't make out for what service/amenities/luxury in 10 x 10 room, I was charged ~6K by Agoda. The spatial room which appears in pics is totally deceptive. Far better luxurious rooms betwen 3.5 to 4k available in nearby luxury hotels.

Booked a hotel room at Boracay Oceans Club Beach Resort through Agoda for July 05-09 travel. Paid using my CC on April 28 for the total amount of $561.99 - the advertised room rate was $119. I initiated a cancellation fee waiver on April 29-30 and sent an email to both Agoda and the resort. The cancelation was due to medical reasons and the cancelation of people in my group.
Two days after, Agoda sent an email stating that the RESORT DENIED MY WAIVER and that I will be charged 1 night if I cancel. I canceled and got charged $140 instead of the $119 original room rate. A day later, the resort emailed me stating to process my cancellation through Agoda and they will approve the full refund. The reservation was a day old from booking to cancelation. I do not think the cancelation incurred a loss on both the site and the resort.
Long story short, Agoda made up the story that the resort DENIED my waiver and the resort claimed that they were never asked and contacted by Agoda about the matter.
Beware of this untrustworthy site. They would lie to make a quick buck. There are plenty of online booking sites to choose from, stay away from this one.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
