Dear Agoda Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent booking I made on your platform. I booked a hotel for 7 adults and 3 children through Agoda, but after completing the payment process, I received a voucher for only 3 adults and 3 children. This was a major inconvenience as I had specifically chosen the number of guests during the booking process and had paid accordingly.
I immediately contacted your customer service team to rectify the situation, and I was instructed to call the hotel and ask them to confirm if they were okay to cancel the reservation. The hotel agreed to cancel the reservation, but I was shocked to learn that Agoda was not ready to process the cancellation. This issue went on for over 2 hours, during which I had to pay an extra amount of 4500 to accommodate the additional guests. This was completely unacceptable as I had already paid for the original reservation and had no intention of paying extra.
I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by Agoda. It is a big scam and it is clear that the platform is fooling customers. The booking process was misleading and the customer service provided was appalling. This experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I am inclined to never use your platform again.
I expect to receive a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this issue. Please let me
I arrived at my hotel with a paid receipt and confirmation email from Agoda, but the hotel refused to check me in. They first tried to move me to move me to a roach motel that they also owned, when I refused they offered my original accommodations but at a cost of $18 more per night. I called Agoda. They couldn't secure the reservation and then hung up when I asked for a refund. These people should be in jail for fraud. I deleted their app.
I accidentally made a double booking coz Agoda kept sending me multiple emails that my booking didn't go through...they refused to cancel the booking even after multiple requests. The most annoying thing was the customer service people use default emails to send you and placate you for a day then the next day tell you the hotel didn't agree to cancel your booking. Its so stressful. I wasted a lot of money just trying to save a few bucks...I hate this experience. Don't book on Agoda.
When I booked my flight to Bali through Agoda, I paid for 1 extra-baggage both way for the amount of SGD$25 each way, total SGD$50 and the receipt stated so as well. Yet Agoda repeatedly insisted that I paid for only one way. Upon checking with Scoot, they sent me the following statement in their email: "As per our conversation, we would like to inform you that TR (Scoot) sides only received booking for BG20 allowance for your booking reference number U8LV6Z with the charges of SGD32.00." This is such a discrepancy from both the Scoot's website posted rate of SGD$25/20kg (February) and S$30/20kg (March) as well as Agoda bill statement of CAD $51.09 (which is equivalent to SGD$50 that I paid for both ways). Consequently, I had to pay an extra baggage fee of $58.05 (with bank fee) on the return flight, since Scoot said that there was no extra baggage fee paid during booking with Agoda.
When Agoda was confronted with such a dishonest practice, their reply is: "In addition, for the add luggage for your outbound flight from Singapore to Bali (13 Mar 2023), please be advised the amounts charged by us to add luggage are set according to our own individual policy at agoda.com and it's not comparative with the airline itself. Therefore, regret to inform you that no refund can be provided in this case. Your kind understanding is very much appreciated."
I paid according to the fee listing in their website. No one is that stupid or illiterate for not being able to read the charges and the fees properly. Clearly, Agoda charged me SGD$50 for both ways. However, Scoot only received SGD$32 (one way?). Please tell me if Agoda explanation makes sense? Who is lying? If this practice is not a scam, then what do you call this?
Do not use Agoda. Horrible and unreliable. Booking hotel was canceled after non payment. Yet my credit card was charged.
I have bad experience related to my stay at Corner Hostel, Wroclaw, and wrote a review on Agoda, but they didn't post my review. In summary, they just selected good reviews to push up their sales. Unprofessional & No responsibility.
They say best price guarantee and do not honor it. I booked a year early and checked other sites here and there and found cheaper. Submitted my price match after reviewing their guidelines and what is need to make my claim and I have to keep going back and forth with them. Everytime it is a different reason why it is denied. Everything matches with a lower price but they keep making up a reason why it's denied. Now they're saying the Priceline cheaper price is due to a promo which is false. You Google the stay date hotel and everything and it comes in lower even when I don't login as a member. They DO NOT price match. Will never book my stays with them ever again.
It showed me a price of 5355 rupees for 4 occupancy. I booked 2 rooms which would cost ******* rupees plus tax, but they charged me Rs. *******. I called customer care to get the price breakdown but they have no idea about it. Worst experience ever with Agoda.
I booked my trip to amritsar on Agoda.com website, booking ID *******. Due to prices attraction, we booked Country inn's, Queens Road considering its Radisson group property. & card was suppose to be charged at hotel. But it was wonder to receive message that card is charged same day, later found that property has no relation with Radisson & It is in deep financials crisis as per other reviews this has happened to other visitors too. While reporting to agoda immediately, agoda refused to accept that card is charged, while sharing email & text messages, Agoda refused everthing & insisted to provide banks statement, Agoda team doesn't know that transaction statement can not get same day, it takes time to generate statement, it only meant that Agoda wanted to buy time. I recommend never believe Agoda for security of your card. As card details are shared with hotel & hotel can charge your card any time. This is worst experience, ever had with online bookings. I never recommend to book this property as cautios visitor to pay little more & be safe. Never book from Agoda, you will feel cheated. Agoda booked through third party website (Booking.com) & terms of booking.com are totally different. I believe after several complaints, booking.com has removed this property from their portal.
Hotel coowner Mrs Parabjot Bajwa, behave worst. It appears hotel is in deep financial crisis, & such hotels are taking support of websites like agoda to collect money.

Our plans changed and we needed to adjust the dates on one of our rooms we rented through agoda. The hotel had no issues with it, but agoda refused our request. I would not book with agoda again.
I've used Agoda since 2019 now and have never had any issues. Some people on the internet say that their customer service may not be the best but honestly Agoda is already top in its category for travel platforms.
And so! As a budget traveler myself, I love platforms like this that give so many bundled discounts from flights to accommodation and more. I think that Agoda stands out from others because they have cool services like "Price freeze" which is where you first pay a small amount to hold the price of the hotel and then later you pay the rest (and if the price goes up they'll cover it* and vice versa if it decreases!)
Theres also other things like AgodaVIP and Agoda cash (you get back from bookings) which you can use for future trips as credit! Overall truly great platform, definitely worth checking out if you haven't yet. They have lots of affordable and nice spots to stay for your trip :)
I have encountered a very bad experience from their service support with regards purchased of air tickets, just a simple job to get the name in sequence from the airline and it took more than 20 days and yet till now, no update from them. At last I got to call up airline to make a correction myself. Just imagine, they keep on reply you that waiting for their reply, that means they are not interested to help you to get the things done.
Absolutely disgusting. I was informed I had 3 months to redeem a voucher, which I did. I then received 2 more vouchers. However, the vouchers expired much earlier than 3 months, despite what I was told by a call operator(i.e. 3 month expiration). The 1st voucher expired before I even knew about it. I called the customer care, which was everything but of assistance. I tried to book a room using my last voucher on the last day and discovered it expired before 24h00. Not happy! Agoda does not care about customer care and service!
I never got a confirmation email after booking with Agoda.com. I had no clue it existed. After an accident, I booked thru another website and got an email at 9pm from the other property, wanting to know what time I would be arriving. They charged my credit card and I am out that money. No cancelation allowed. Wow! Good to know. Don't use Agoda.com.
There is no any support here. When I bought tickets, I wasn't able to cancel it even when they were in pending status.
It was really bad experience with agoda as i booked the hotel and money got deducted four times and for multiple booking were made, i request to cancel the 3 other booking and keep one which we booked, even spoke to their customer care manager executive, they said ok but there was no booking when I reached to hotel, i get know that they cancel all the booking without any confirmation, it was really disappointing because i was with my family and it will be really difficult during night time
Booked a hotel in agoda and paid the full amount. Several hours later agoda called and said that the hotel is fully booked and they are unable to give us a room. Had to wait for 15 more days to get the money. Such a disappointment
Very bad service.
I have booked two rooms for 4 adults and 2 kids but when checked in came to know that booking is for 2 adults and 2 kids. I reached out customer service of Agoda they are saying that booking was for 2 adults and for 2 kids. Now question why I would book two rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Answer: I didn't know that? I have had the best deals from them and I find them very helpful.
Answer: I don't bother making lists just search for where I am going and select the best deal for at least 1 mth before its needed and keep track of prices

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
