I have booked a hotel for the 1st of July 2023 night. But when I show up for the check in at 9.00pm they have no room available. Agoda gave me 2 options. 1st refund with no cancellation fees (really?) And 10% off for the next booking. 2nd they will looking another hotel for you (I choose the second one). Half an hour later they call and tell me that they can't find another place with comparable price. They can't do anything but refund. Well, we have to walk around and look for a room after 10pm. The funny is I've checked later that night on Agoda. That hotel still have room available and it cheaper than half price I booked. Well done.
I traveled to Salalh from Dubai, with my kids, by road.
Before traveling i booked a hotel, paid for it, and called Agoda to confirm if it is okay, hotel seems a scam to me, but these guys assure me, sir, the hotel is okay you can proceed.
Once traveling 1200 kilometers by car in the middle of the night we find out that this hotel is not there, the hotel has another name.
The owner refuses to take us in. We were scammed, and agoda played a part in it by assuring us its not a scam

After contacting Agoda they said, we are sorry that the hotel is unable to accomate you, but we will refund you the amount which I have not received yet.
For the trouble I went through, they offer me 20 dollars for compensation.

I booked 3 rooms through agoda.com at Dalhousie in Hotel Shangi la. When I reached there, they didnot allow to check-in as they had no vacant rooms. Worst experience and awkward situation with Family
I booked put in my dates and dates where changed. I didn't realize til conf email. Doesn't allow changes took my money. I will never book through them again.
Booked with price match same site lower price next day exact match adj denied! Exact comparison, not honored! Be sure your happy with what you purchase as they do not make changes as suggested on website
I was recently going through my daughters email account due to some emails she had received that seemed odd as she is only 13 years old and she shouldn't be signed up on any booking accommodation web portals. Well I found this site has been sending her emails so I logged in to find out what this was all about, in doing so I found my ex had used her account to sign up for these services, I know this because his PayPal account was added as a form of payment, his birthday, home address, name, it's all in there in black and white. He most likely did this to hide his cheating ways thinking I would never think to check her emails for this type of thing. He's been using my email for some time to try and hurt me, which is one thing but this is going too far. I can't get him out of my accounts, I've tried doing everything from 2 step verification, changing passwords, creating new emails, to completely wiping every device I own. Going back to why this company deserves 0 stars, I requested the data associated with my daughters account, gave them an old booking number, filled out the form they emailed back to me completely, but I'm being told that because the booking was made using a different email (his email) I can't have access to the data. So they're basically telling me any creep can use your account, even a minor, to do whatever they please and you can do nothing about it. I want to file a case against him but I'm not doing so without proof of what he's been doing. So since I can't get that I guess I'll just continue to deal with his petty actions and keep suffering. Thanks agoda you guys really know how to take care of the bad guy. God forbid I actually get to speak to someone, I so much appreciate the generic replies and absolutely 0 help you've given me on this matter.
I booked my first hotel booking through Agoda.
The booking was Grand Welcome Hotel in Shimla.
Web booking, I chose 2 adults and 2 Kids and fed thier age in system.
Agoda showed me properties based on the details.
When I booked a hotel which is non refundable, it booked for 2 Adults and 2 kids.
But receipt gave for 2 adults only.
Talking to customer care post booking, they said they have only 2 adults and check with hotel policy.
If we are booking through Agoda when why a hotel policy check before booking.
Ultimatly Useless Customer support said that they can not support me and Either I have to cancel or pay extra for kids.
This is losses of booking from a foreign palyer.
Had I booked from MMT or any other Indian site, I would been at peace.
Agoda is a trap. Hotels connive with Agoda to trap travellers in such cases.

Do not book or perform any transactions with Agoda if you want peace of mind or you don't want to be left stranded in foreign country. The flight was canceled in last few hours of our departure and Agoda doesn't hold any responbilities nor do they cooperate with customer. Instead, we got a response that their platform can be used only for booking purposes. For anything else, they are not accountable. Again, please do not use their services to save a few thousands.

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Agoda's customer service, which left me extremely dissatisfied and convinced that this company is nothing short of horrible. I made a reservation for my sister, but mistakenly used my own name. Unfortunately, Agoda's customer service proved to be utterly useless in rectifying this simple mistake.
Upon realizing my error, I immediately contacted Agoda's customer service to request a name change on the reservation. However, despite my pleas and explanations, they claimed to be incapable of making such a basic modification. This lack of flexibility and unwillingness to accommodate a simple request is unacceptable, especially considering the fact that I was the one who made the reservation and it was my money on the line.
Not only did Agoda refuse to change the name on the reservation, but they also failed to provide any compensation for the inconvenience caused. I had no choice but to book an entirely new reservation for my sister, resulting in a significant financial loss on my part. It is outrageous that Agoda did not take any responsibility for their own shortcomings and left me to bear the consequences of their inability to assist me properly.
To make matters worse, Agoda continuously cited their use of a third-party system as the reason behind their inability to approve a simple name change. This excuse is utterly unacceptable. As a customer, I do not care about their internal processes or limitations. I simply expected Agoda to provide a solution to my problem, especially since I was willing to pay any necessary fees or charges for the name change. Their reliance on a third party should not absolve them of their responsibility to deliver quality customer service.
This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with Agoda, and I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company. Their inability to rectify a simple mistake and lack of compensation for the inconvenience caused demonstrates a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I regret having trusted Agoda with my reservation and will certainly be exploring alternative platforms for future bookings.
We always use agoda for family holidays.
Hubby and I have booked many holidays with the best prices.
When I had a quiry they are very efficient in solving the issue.even if it was in regards to refunds.
Resolved as quickly as possible.
I would use them in all of my future holidays.a very honest company.

Agoda makes you think they are giving you coupons and saving you money on hotels and flights, but in fact they are raising the rates significantly, then offering you the same price OR MORE with the "coupons" than booking literally anywhere else.
And the hotel I booked at with agoda was deeply misrepresented on their site, plus the manager could not find my booking, which sounds like probably a common issue with Agoda bookings. Immediately deleted the app and will never use or recommend.
Likewise, if you wish to speak to a representative of Agoda, their chat and help sections conveniently don't operate but constantly redirect you to the main menu. It is a joke. If you wish to delete any account created to make a booking with agoda, it is completely impossible. There is no option, no way to search or find it in FAQ, no way to speak with anyone at Agoda via email, chat, or phone call in any way at any point in time. So they just keep your info and sell it. Be sure to at least go in and remove all cookie settings and disallow the sale of your information. Continue to report them if you've ever wasted your time and money on an agoda booking. This "company" (scam) will go under soon.
I booked through Agoda, and when I arrived at the hotel, there was no reservation for me. I talked to Agoda customer support and tried to resolve the issue because I had to stay somewhere else that night. They assured me the room was ready and available for me, but no room was reserved. The hotel told me they had been booked all day long, and there were no rooms available when I placed the reservation I told I got a the same information. The hotel told me that there was never any vacancy for that day. They chargeedmy card so I filed a dispute and they have continued to argue with the credit card company. I cannot get my money back and I'm out $400. This company has taken so much of my time when there pitiful attempt at resolving a simple issue I will make sure to never use this company and let everybody know they are a horrible company to work with.
This site is the scam of all scams. Save your time, money, and the hassle of dealing with a fraudulent organization.

Agoda double booked me at a hotel, then told me hotel wouldn't issue refund. I called hotel, they issued refund to Agoda, Agoda denies refund was issued AGODA IS A SCAM
Details: Web site was slow, I hit refresh. Web site double booked me (same night, same hotel) and after a week, web chats and half a dozen emails, Agoda won't refund me for the second room- their customer contact is abysmal, and an agent sent an email informing me that next time I should book a refundable room. To be clear- the WEB SITE DOUBLE BOOKED ME, and AGODA refuses to admit the web site mistake, and cancel, refund the 2nd room THAT THEY BOOKED. And there is no one to email or call- I have been handed off (electronically) to 6 different 'agents' - none of whom will share an email or phone number to contact with. I contacted the hotel, they agreed to issue a refund, gave me a confirmation number, I sent to AGODA, Agoda again maintains hotel won't issue a refund, THIS WEB SITE IS SUB PAR, and Customer Service sucks, and THEY ARE A RIP OFF.
I was a bit worried about booking with Agoda after reading the negative reviews on here but decided to try them to book the hotels for my recent holiday. The price they offered compared to other websites was so much cheaper. Everything went smoothly from booking to receiving my confirmation. Money was taken out of my account on the day they specified. Absolutely no issues whatsoever. I printed out my confirmation and presented this on arrival at the hotels with no problems. I would definitely use Agoda again. Easy to use and hard to beat prices.
Do not book anything through the site. I booked a hotel with Agoda almost 2 months before my trip. Two weeks before I called to confirm the hotel and the hotel said they never had a reservation for me. I called Agoda and they said that they will take care of it a week later they called me saying that it was confirmed and Done. I called the hotel back to confirm it and there's still no reservation so I booked my reservation through Expedia and had a reservation instantly. Called Agoda back to cancel my reservation since I technically never had one and they charge me $150 for a reservation I never had. Do not book with them
I booked a deluxe room of the property in rajasthan,after booking online nobody contacted me and some how i managed to reach found doors closed I tried to contact the number given in booking details and found was not traceable,tried to contact the mobile number and the landline number displayed in the title board infront of the gate...nobody attended. Leaving an option to shift the luggage to another available property

A big part of Agoda's promotion is its 'free cancellation' offer. When you use the cancellation option and the hotel refuses, Agoda's response is "oh the hotels set their own cancellation policies". My question to Agoda is "How can you offer 'free cancellation' in your promotion when you have no control? You can't provide what you promise?"
Answer: I didn't know that? I have had the best deals from them and I find them very helpful.

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
