It is a nice website, help me finding hotel, but tricky.
The website is tricky. The offers is tricky, example: the upgrade offer after the payment.
It really try very hard to get me believe that I get a good deal. Which make me curious... is it really that good?
Sometimes the offer also error. I got a page contained a hotel that 'originally' priced IDR 19 million (which is unbelievably hoax, or bug) discounted to around IDR 1 million.
With over 20 bookings through Agoda in past 4 years I have no problem with this company at all. Sometimes the hotels are not quite as good as advertised but those were the exception.
Navigating on Agoda.com is really easy and the offers are always great. Highly recommended website.
I had to extend my stay at Kensington Close Hotel in London and couldn't do so at the hotel as the reservation department there only works from 9 AM onwards and I was always busy at work. I then called agoda and they were helping me out to extend my stay by talking directly to the hotel whilst I was waiting on the call. However, as there were no rooms available that matches my current room type, they couldn't extend me at the same rate and I was told to book other room types in agoda, which I then immediately do. It was super quick and now I am able to extend my stay.
You choose your budget and check the hotel reviews to make informed decision on which place to stay. The Insider Deals are a great saving and the agora points reward you for continuing to book thru Agoda. Love it :)
When we look for budget hotel, the booked hotel sometimes gave us a underrated room in their hotel for budget booking from Agoda booking, for example some 4 stars with budget price in India.

We recently used Agoda to book a hotel and when the hotel did not meet the requirements of our booking, Agoda stood behind their website and reimbursed us for our loss. Dealings with the hotel were more than disappointing, but dealings with Agoda were amazing. They were available, helpful and supportive. Whenever I can, I only use Agoda to book accomodation, they are truely amazing.

I've used Agoda for about 10 years now. They offer great deals all around Asia. The online reservation process is very easy and very rapid. I've never had an issue with any of my reservations over the years. I have recommended it to countless friends and even to travel agents for them to use!

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
