I paid extra $20 for express shipping and doesn't get here the next business day. I had bad luck with the weekend as well, which ended up being a 4 day wait. It's so upsetting. Talked to customer support and she was absolutely rude and kept trying to tell me that it takes 24hrs for prescriptions to be confirmed. So why is it you have the option for the 'teleported' delivery if it isn't?
Save your money and don't order from here.

I had been ordering contacts for a while from them. The prescription on file, after going through their digital eye exam process, isn't even for the same contacts I've been wearing. Now I can't even use the prescription. To make matters worse, the contacts I need won't be in stock for 8 weeks. I have a useless prescription that I can't take elsewhere, and no contacts for 8 weeks. Terrible.

False Advertise in Price

After researching costs of contact lenses I came to 1-800 Contacts because they advertised the best price. After entering my information you get to view your cart. It shows the price plus the discounts. After you select checkout, prices are no longer visible. You select to enter your insurance benefits, they accept it. You enter your credit card information. You've done the math and figured our what your total should however, once you submit the order the price increases by $80+. You recalculate... still can't figure it out. You opt for the online chat. Then they tell you that... oh if you use your insurance, the discounts do not apply. You're not even eligible for the rebates. WTF! No where in the check out process does it mention this. It's a scam... they hide the prices during the check out process so you have NO idea until your submit what they're charging you. If they hadn't have already applied my insurance I would have cancelled this order, but we all know how difficult it would have been to get my benefit back. I will NEVER order from this company again. If you're considering them WATCH OUT!

Ordered my prescription contacts for -2 and -3 with the paper prescription I got from my optician. However I got the wrong power sent to me, two -8 boxes, so I contacted costumer service. They apologized, promising to send me the correct contacts so I can send the two -8 boxes back, no extra costs. Got my order and I got -8 boxes again! At this point I need new contacts within a week or I'm out. So I contacted them a second time and they said we can send you the -2 and -3 for 20$ extra per box. I got suspicious and asked why all of a sudden it would be more expensive. They said we can't send you the ones you ordered because you don'tbhave the correct prescription… Then how did you just send me FOUR BOXES of the exact contact I need but the wrong power and now refuse to and instead trying to force me to pay more. I then asked for my money back and the service agent said so you'd rather not wesr contact anymore then?… At a loss for words. Now I have to rush around trying to get contacts within a week because they $#*!ed up.

I am extremely happy about the customer service they provided. USPS lost my package when I initially placed an order with them for my contacts. When I contacted these people they replaced my order immediately for free of cost and with the UPS next day delivery as I needed my contacts ASAP. Their prices are very reasonable as well. They truly know what they are doing and I will be their lifelong customer. Thank you for your awesome services :))

Fast Shipping, Good Customer Service

I ordered my contacts a little over a week ago. They arrived today early morning, about 3 business days from when they shipped. This was great, because I didn't pay for a faster arrival and was expecting them well into next week. When I ordered, I accidentally uploaded a photo of my eyeglass prescription. I was emailed by a real person, both times. I appreciated not having to deal with difficult automated systems. There seems to be a lot of confusion about prescription confirmation (including myself), so i'll explain it here. You upload a pic of the Rx, or enter the info from your contact box, and if your doctor doesn't respond within a day it's assumed to be a correct Rx and ordered (take that how you will). I was wary purchasing from them again due to reviews, and it seems that people have a hit-or-miss experience with 1-800 contacts. For myself, it's the easiest and cheapest option. My glasses are over $600+ from a decent retailer b/c my eye condition, and contacts are nearly $220 from most doctors offices. Here, they're only $140. I've ordered twice with good results. However, that doesn't cancel out the negative experiences of others so please be cautious. I could be located closer to a distribution center, or along a route of some sorts. I would say if you find your prescription and brand for an affordable price, and it's practical for you time/schedule/lifestyle-wise, I'd definitely go for it.
***The only reason I wrote this review is because they arrived so fast, i was genuinely surprised how quickly they came and wanted to say something positive. Aside from that, pretty standard transaction with this company***

I've been using 1800 Contacts since 2018 and this is the last time I make a purchase with them.

To sum it up, I uploaded a picture of my new prescription. They had issues with it and sent me an email stating they couldn't see my name on the upload so I was asked to either send another picture or, they'll be calling my doctor to verify. I did not see this e-mail until I contacted customer service. Turns out they sent out a notification saying "Verified Rx" But never actually verified and just sent me my old prescription. To top it off, they want me to go out of my way and return the incorrect contacts and are only giving me a $20 discount for the inconvenience.

Excellent service

This company is so awesome! I went to America's Best in Williamsburg, Va to get my eye exam but contacts were cheaper at 1800contact. I had a first prescription from the day of my exam but then I had two more from the follow ups, to make sure I pick the right one. I decided to get the very first one, I was very specific about it but the associate gave the Dr the wrong one to sign so he was out of the office for a few days and I had to wait for him to sign the right one. Well he again signed the wrong one (2nd follow up) but I didn't realize that until my contacts came in the mail and I couldn't see anything with them on. Thanks to Jessie, who has been my life savior, who helped me so much taking all my worries away and who had to clean up the mess America's Best made, I'm now feeling better. America's best didn't want to help me in any ways, I asked for a follow up to make sure I was getting the right prescription but they refused to do it. Amanda, the manager, told me the doctor finalized me and they would not be any more follow ups or trials, she was rude and wasn't trying to help me at all. Thank you 1-800 contacts for being such a helpful company! And thank you again Jessie for such a great customer service.

I had purchased from 1800Contacts in the past but have been buying from EzContacts since 2016. Not that I have any loyalty to them, they have simply come up with best price time and time again. Usually with no haggling. That doesn't mean I don't look for the best price every time I need to place an order. I do.

That's when I saw an excellent price on my lenses pop up on my google search. 1800Contacts - $63.95 for a 24 Pack of Acuvue Oasys. I had already had them for in my EzContact Shopping Cart for $69.95 per box. But hey. Looks like I'll be giving 1800Contacts a try again.

Note to retailers: I will switch my allegiance for a $6.00 a box savings in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately when I clicked the link the price mysteriously change to $101 per box? I double checked with a salesperson via chat and they informed me. "That price" was for "new customers only" But… Since I hadn't ordered in a long time they could offer it to me. "Great," I said. "Call me back on the 20th and I will take them.

To 1800Contacts credit they did call me back on the 21st. Unfortunately. That is when the deal derailed badly. "Absolutely I want to buy them," I said, "But I need to verify the price first."

The promised price had been 2 boxes@ 63.99 for a total of 127.98. He comes back on the line and says the price is $251 for 2 boxes. Almost twice as much as the promised price!

"What?" I laughed. "That's not even close. I already have them in my cart at EzContacts for 69.99."

"Well wait," he said. "We will beat anyones price by $1.00 a box. I just need to verify the price."

Note to retailers. I will not switch my allegiance for a couple bucks so this conversation was already essentially over.

Then he came back and informed me the best price hey could verify was 99.95 a box. So they could offer me them at $98.95 per box.

End of discussion.

Minutes later I was completing my order with EzContacts.com. I had shipping confirmation in less time than it took to write this review...

I've been ordering contact from this company for over 25 years, for my family of three. They used to be
Amazing. However, over the years their customer service went from iffy to nonchalant. Very disappointing, time-consuming, and annoying. Today, a rep was dishonest when she was doing a price comparison. I'm going to return one box of unopened lenses because I have a new prescription, am changing to a different and much more expensive lense, etc. She gave me a price quote that included the $33+ refund for the box of lenses I'm returning. Not only is this not a good business practice, but it's also deceptive. IN ADDITION, THEY PLACED THE ORDER BEFORE I AUTHORIZED IT. SO NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 3-7 DAYS TO GET A REFUND OF ALMOST $670 FOR LENSES I DIDN'T ORDER!
In my opinion, this company has lost its mojo and I wasted over an hour of my time. Life is too short!

Just a suggestion... But maybe don't change my order to something that i didn't order, and then proceed to accuse me that i didn't in fact order them, when i have a confirmation email showing that i did... and on top of that, refuse to correct the mistake.

Furthermore, they then just tried to up-sell me on what i originally ordered but for a full year, AND tell me they'll now get here in 2 weeks. That's way too late. I ordered these a month ago so i could have them on vacation. Now i'm out of contacts, or stuck using these overpriced contacts i didn't order, because i know that they constantly rip. (I've worn contacts for 20+ years, and the ones they sent me are garbage).
And now will have to wait 2-4 weeks for a refund, for items i didn't... purchase.

There's no excuse for trying to make a customer feel like they did something wrong, when the mistake was made by the customer representative who completely changed my order without permissions. Just a suggestion. They are usually excellent on response, feedback, and swiftness of customer service, which i still quite admire. But there's no excuse for this lack of customer service. You can do better than this.

Tried to order contacts and would never approve my script. What is the point of the website if they say I need to go see my doctor and they need to send the script? Might as well get what you need from the doctor when you go cause the price isn't any different. So don't think you can cut out going to see your doctor and order more contacts because you can't. More of a hassle going through this website then getting off work and getting to town to see the doctor.

I ordered contacts, first they said they didn't have what I needed. Then they said they had it but only if I ordered the ones that were more than 30 per box. I said fine. She said great they will be delivered by tomorrow. Two days later nothing! I call and they said oh well we have it, they just haven't shipped for some unknown reason! Well wtf I needed them express delivered that's why I paid extra! Really horrible liars. Bad service

Doesn't verify prescription

I ordered contacts for my daughter. I accidentally entered her old prescription. The prescription I entered had expired over a year ago. She received the contacts and noticed the prescription was wrong when she wore them. Thankfully they are supposed to refund me for the rest of the box. I am out $30 for contacts that were opened and shipping. Customer service said they were not required to verify the prescription with her eye doctor. So I guess they don't really care about eye care as they promote and you can order contacts even if you don't have a prescription. I also got an email a week later saying they were still trying to verify her prescription and encouraged her to take their exam. I acknowledge I should have paid closer attention to the prescription date, but I thought it would all be verified with her eye doctor.

Deceivers!

When l ordered contacts they KNEW that the contacts were on back order and fail to tell me. They promised me contacts by a certain date, no contacts. They promised another certain date, no contacts. I finalIy called after the second no show and the nice lady said, "oh, they're on back order." I requested my account to be credited and I'm moving on to a truly reputable company. Everybody is blaming covid! NO EXCUSES PLEASE! Two years into covid. Figure-it-out! Buyers beware.

I recently ordered contacts from this company. They told me if would be about 6 weeks or so before I would receive them. They didn't show up, so I called and was told they were lost and they would get back with me. I called them back the next day and was told they were sent back to the manufacturer so it would take longer. Didn't show up so they never showed up at the manufacturer …. Lost. So more waiting. They agree to give me a discount on another order. I get them. The right eye contacts are good, the left I can't see out if. I send the box back minus the one contact. I never receive a credit, so I call them today. They never credited me but will credit me "$5.00" for the 5 pair I sent back. That wasn't worth the gas I used going to the post office. The then agree to credit me $10.00 on my account, and after arguing with them, agree to a $20.00 credit on my account, which they will keep because I will never order from them again and will not refer them to anyone else.

I ordered from 1800contacts for over 20 years. I had lasik surgery and no longer need contacts. I am recommending 1800contacts to everyone. They never ever failed me. Quick delivery. Replaced damaged lenses with no hassle and very courteous staff. Trust me. They will not disappoint.

They are a scam! They say that my prescription was wrong. I went to my doctor to verify and he told me that nobody contact him and the prescription was perfect……. I am still waiting for the refund…..

Absolutely awful!

Due to certain financial setbacks as a result of the pandemic, I held off on ordering contacts because of the expense. I had already purchased glasses through my local optometrist, but waited to get contacts since they're purely cosmetic. I just got back on my feet again after nearly a year out of work, and decided with summer coming up that I'd like to be able to wear sunglasses, again. So, I verified my prescription was still valid for a few more months, and attempted to order contracts not once, but TWICE from this site. Both times they rejected my prescription as invalid after making two lengthy calls to my eye care provider, who could not tell me why my prescription was invalid and that no one had contacted them as claimed in their email. Total bllcrap and a waste of time! Had I known I was locked into purchasing exclusively from my optometrist, then I'd have saved myself the effort of researching what reputable online source!
