I tried to log into my account to no avail someone said they would help me they were experiencing technical difficulties I had to take an exam after figuring out the exam myself hours later they called me the next day after the order was placed telling me I had to take another 20 dollar exam there hacks with contacts don't bother

I was given the opportunity to send a text when I looked for a chat after I learned my order for immediate delivery was delayed. My text was responded to within minutes and a conversation ensued wherein I knew I was being taken care of. I was even able to place a new order through the text thread. I have been refunded the "immediate delivery" fee after waiting out the day to see if my lenses would arrive (they will be here tomorrow), and I have been consistently and politely responded to within a few minutes after every text. I am an experienced and constant(!) online consumer and have yet to have resolution in such a pleasant and easy way until today.

I recently ordered contacts from 1-800 Contacts. After placing the order, I found another online site had them for less, so I contacted 1-800 Contacts (the same day) and asked for a refund, as I was planning to order them from the other company. Upon contacting them, I was told that they would match the price. Cool. The price match would have resulted in a $40 refund, which I was told was issued that day. It never came. I reached out a few weeks later and was told that the refund would post any day. One month later, I reach out for the *third* time and was told that the processing department refused to issue the refund.
I have four contact wearers in my family--their misrepresentation immediately lost their company four customers. Perhaps the $40 was worth it for them.

Tried to buy annual supply of contacts as a first time buyer and there were so many red flags I cancelled my order.

Red Flag #1) They do not genuinely price match. They will take the highest price listed on a competitor's website BEFORE all the discounts and promotions. Their method is absurd and I was told they, "put the browser on private and then look at the price on the competitor's page." They mislead you. The associate will require you to make an ENTIRE ACCOUNT, WRITE UP YOUR COMPLETE RX, and then ultimately tell you, "1800 offers a better deal."

Red Flag #2) Since I am first-time buyer, I was offered 20%, a $70 rebate for an annual supply, and I had eye insurance for $150 credit for contacts. They refused to offer the 20% and $70 off rebate if I used my insurance. They stated, and I kid you not, "unfortunately, we will be unable to do that as the savings are too high." SAVINGS ARE TOO HIGH. They're still getting the $150 from my insurance! They are still getting paid the $150 when they file the claim, although not through me. Literally just trying to scam you every chance they get.

Do not buy from this company. A company so deceitful with every aspect of their initial offers will be deceitful through every step of the process. Returns. Discounts. Quality complaints. Buy elsewhere.

I had SUCH a good experience ordering contacts. I had a terrible experience with Warby Parker and was really flustered when I was making my order. I messed up two different times when I ordered and they were able to fix everything over chat and were SO helpful. Truly a great experience (and I work in Customer Service myself so I know)! I've been won over. Will definitely buy from them again.

Don't waste your time! This was the first time I ordered from 1800contacts and I had the worst experience ever! I paid $500.94 for an order only to be double charged. When I called to dispute this they said the first order was canceled them reprocessed without any knowledge that there was an issue with the first order. I was out $1000 that was "being processed" and no contacts! This is so upsetting and such an inconvenience because I had other bills to pay with that money. Now, I have to wait 10 days for it to go back to my back! This is the worst experience ever! Don't waste your time. Go to a store where you can pick up your order right away with out having to experience this! We work hard for our money for companies to rob us of it and decide to play with our money!

DO NOT BUY

If I could give a 0 star review I would. This company has been an absolute pain to work with and I wish I never bought from them and could've avoided this hassle. Normally a company will automatically issue you a refund once their receive the product your returned. Well not this company. I literally had to email them and ask what was going on with my refund because it had been a month and the tracking shows it was delivered to them. They emailed me back saying they received my package 3 weeks ago, and that they would start the refund process now. First off why did no one contact me about it being received? Second off I shouldn't have had to get in touch with them to get a refund, it should have automatically happened. Here I am almost two months later still waiting for a refund from them. And contacts ain't cheap. On top of all that they said they only received on of my boxes back? Even though I was sent the wrong prescription and couldn't even use the contacts. So why would I have kept one of the boxes for myself if I couldn't even use it like what? Makes no sense.

Poor experience

First ovall their price doesnt match competition as they said. You can get better price at Clearly.ca And watch out if you buy from Canada they dont convert their pricing so for exemple my bill was 175 but after conversion it was 246! Great surprise tho. It's like we are in 2007 and they dont adjust the pricing from your localisation (USD--> CAD). In a competitive market such as contact lenses it is really surprising that they deliver so a poor experience.

If you want your ordered messed up by 1800 and then have to resubmit your "expired" prescription, go ahead and use them. They'll steal your money.

Hung up on by customer service

1-800 Contacts was easy to use and easy to order from…BUT when I had trouble getting my package from UPS and I was returned to sender I decided to just cancel my order and go with LASIK (I've been toying with it anyway). When I called to cancel my order the customer service representative was initially nice but when I said I wanted to cancel my order he responded with "Oh I can't do that but I can send out some replacements for you today." When I said I don't want replacements because I never received the first ones. I want to cancel my order he said he would try to do that and put me on hold. When he came back on the line he said he spoke with a manager and the refund wound be on my card in 3-5 days and then hung up on me. Didn't take any further information (like an order number) so I have no idea if it will actually be done or not.

Wasted a bunch of time trying to do a price match only to find out they are very selective about prices they will match. The exact same contacts were $170 on their site compares to $70 on EZcontacts.com and they will not match.

Fantastic company

I'm really surprised this company doesn't have a full five stars. They really are fantastic. I have never had a negative experience with them. In the past I have had my contacts rip,and bad batches sent to me, (which wasn't their fault, it was the fault of the manufacturing company of the lenses.) They sell many different brands apparently. But they always worked with me and replaced them with no questions asked, and even swapped out entire batches that were bad. I've dealt with them for decades and they are just the best. Really what a company should be.

Horrible experience. Miscommunication and incorrect information from various customer service reps. It took 3 weeks to get the contacts and when I received them the rx was incorrect. I will never order from them again or recommend this company.

Customer service is truly amazing. My address processed wrong and they were sent and shipped to an undeliverable address. Thanks to ups not caring and leaving them wherever. Contact customer service and they processed me a replacement order in moments. Amazing. Appreciate all the help and worth so many stars!

I ordered from 1800contacts and few days after my order they said they don't have my lenses in stock and it will take 3 additional weeks to get from the company. I asked to cancel the order but the rep said she talked to someone and they will send the contacts by the original promised date. I waited that day but nothing came in the mail. Upon reaching out to customer service they again said they still haven't received the contacts from the company and it will be 2-3 more weeks. And they did not have any history of what I was promised in the chat before.
Usually I'm fine with the delays but my lenses are over and I need them urgently but they can't do anything about it. They should have at least sent me a small pack to cover me for their delay.

Purchased contacts and my order came to $385.14. I checked my CC statement the next day and the $385.14 charge was there... along with another, mysterious $392.33 charge. Customer service reps say they "can't see the charge" and "it'll probably drop off in 3 to 10 business days." They can't explain what the charge is, why I was charged nearly $400 extra, and they say they cannot do anything about it. My only recourse was to file a chargeback and never do business with 1800Contacts ever again.
