For Father's Day I asked my wife for a guitar processor, so she ordered one through zZounds. Two days before she realized it still hadn't arrived yet, so she checked the status of the order, only to find that zZounds canceled it. Meanwhile, their website still showed the product as in stock.

I contacted zZounds to let them know about the issue and how disappointed we were. I mean, come on, it's the middle of coronavirus and all I wanted was to jam out on a new processor and not have to worry about the end of the world for one day. They responded to say that our order required "additional verification" and that they called my wife and left a message. She never saw a call or a message. But even if she had, are you kidding me? Additional verification? In 15-20 years of ordering stuff online I have never had the vendor cancel an order for an in-stock item. I have never had a vendor call me to verify an order.

Thanks for the lame Father's Day, zZounds.

I ordered a Boss Katana MkII 100 Head. The amp arrived DOA. I don't think it was Zzounds fault as the box was smashed and broken pretty good when it arrived via FedEx. FedEx is the only shipping service in our area I've ever had trouble with. Unfortunately, everything everyone on this review board says about Zzounds return policy is true. It is a nightmare. You won't get your money back for weeks. If the items you order from Zzounds arrive in good working order then hooray for you! If you need to return something then don't expect your money back any time soon, if at all

Terrible company

One of their customers has given them the wrong email address (mine) and now I receive all his communication.
I've told them over and over again that they are emailing the wrong person, I'm not even in the same country as their customer or their company, and they refuse to stop emailing me! I don't just mean they won't stop, I mean they actually replied to my request telling me they won't stop!
I'm not even a customer and I still need to review them as having the worse customer service ever!

I hate kicking an up and coming company when they are trying to get started, but these guys are really screwing the pooch.

1) I bought a $300 Ibanez 12 string guitar, they ship the guitar without a signature required and Fedex just drops the package off at my boor (in a drug infested area). Thank God my neighbor was there to grab the package before some crack head did.

2) I bought a a set of 12 string D'Addario mediums string, a strap and a pack of picks. The strap and strings arrived the next day (they sent me a 6 pack in stead of a 12 pack for my 12 string guitar) and my strap on day one. Then a small pack of picks on day two. They could have combined everything in one shipment and put it in an envelope that would have been able to fit into my mailbox, but they divided those throee items into 2 shipments and put them into big boxes for Fedex to (once again) drop off at my door without looking back.

These guys are $#*!s, don't shop here.

First they sent me the completely wrong mic that was ordered. Then tried to make it seem I was just unsatisfied with the purchase when they messed up. It was already explained that the mic needed to be replaced for a scheduled event and without it they were seriously jeopardizing our event. Safe to say their response was for me to purchase a whole new system and then send the other back and then they would refund my money. Total bull$#*! company... I didn't get the refund ticket, they wouldn't guarantee the new mic system delivery on-time so I canceled the order with the promise of my return being processed once the item was scanned by UPS... safe to say they've done absolutely nothing so far but come up with more excuses and delay the release of my money. Although they have their mic system. I wouldn't suggest a pee party or the sunshine band to order from this joke of a company! If you got money to play with go play the stocks!

I purchased a product from them which was falsely advertised saying that this product just needed a download software from another company, This company does not support the hardware ZZounds sells. ZZsound refused my refund saying I was near the end of my window but they say they offer a 45 day guaranty and I submitted my refund on the 30th day. What a bunch of B. S. I used those 30 days to search the webb to find a copy or download but to no avail could not find it. I suggest to not do business with this terrible company reason being you the customer are not right and they only are after your money. Beware they are thieves and robbers

Crap customer service

1 day shipping took over a week. So had to overnight from the gear from another company. Trying to return the stuff from Zzounds is a nightmare. I've been back and fourth with customer service and their "returns" department over 10 times over about a week. Never again

Never any issues

I've been dealing with Zzounds for 8+ years and have had nothing but A+ service from them. Being able to "pay as you play" has let me get into some amazing gear I might not have been able to afford otherwise. The only return I have had was a few years ago and it was pretty simple and had no problems at all.

Usually service here is great for me, but if Les detect an ethnic vocal tone he will treat you disrespectfuly. I heard how he treated my Haitian friend who has a slight accent who called to order some cables. This Les salesman acted like a jerk, questioning my friends debit card and speaking with a very unfriendly tone of voice and insults. We both have purchased thousands of dollars of equipment here for over 10 years, and never encountered a character like Les. He could use customer service orientation training.

I was a Zzounds customer for over 15 years. The Marshall DSL20HR I purchased was defective. They said if I returned it they wouldn't do business with me. So, I returned the amp and switched to Sweetwater. The best choice I have ever made. Dylan the manager is an $#*!. Their BBB has all kinds of bad marks on it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE JERKS!

I will never purchase another piece of equipment from Zzounds! They will screw you on returns, they ship defective items and when you return said items they claim (falsely) the item was damaged on return and they will keep your deposit. I have never had business dealings with a more disreputable company in my long life and I have dealt with shady companies many times but they really stand out.

I have bought many items from studio items to guitars, and wow, nothing but quality and timely support. Had to return a guitar, they were there to help and honored their return policy. I read some of the complaints, which to me are unrealistic expectations. Seriously, if you want the BEST payment plan to help you, this is the place to do it. Hands down, I will not buy from anyone else unless ZZounds doesn't have what I need. Customer service on chat or on the phone are quick and personable and friendly. They are sincere and informative. Remember, products like Ibanez ship to them, and zzounds doesn't always get a great shipped item, not there fault and you CAN return it if you follow the rules. I appreciate them and I have 5 guitars, one amp and tons of other stuff through them and well, communication is key if you have any issues. Love these guys, they are a great group to buy from!

A+++ experience. ZZounds made a drummer's dream come true. After recently losing one of my best friends from high school to a car accident, the person who taught me how to play drums and made me hear/feel music differently, I decided it was time to play again. ZZounds made that possible. They delivered everything in the order on-time and I couldn't even find a scratch from shipping. I couldn't believe how fast it came via 2-day Fed Ex. My new Ludwig 6-piece drum kit, cymbals, hardware and other items were better than expected, and I couldn't be any happier this Holiday season 2018! ZZounds even allowed me to choose different due dates for my payment plan. I really can't find a negative here, folks. I would recommend this business to family and friends. Drum on! THANK YOU!

I bought a Boss ME-80 multi-effects unit and ordered a power supply with it. The power supply did not work (was the wrong one). Zzounds will gladly refund my money but they will also gladly take a $3.95 return fee even though it was NOT MY FAULT. Customer service did not care when I told them that if they did this to me that I would never buy from them again. Zzounds had no problem losing me as a customer. They would rather steal $3.95 from me than to keep me as a customer... STAY AWAY FROM ZZOUNDS!
