Bought speaker in August... it is December (4months) It is absolutely heartbreaking that my speaker no longer works & zZounds rep said it's after 45 days I'd have to go through manufacturer. $200+ and my speaker is a bust. So much for quality service and products... speaker didn't even last a year. I teach music class for underprivileged students during the pandemic. I will definitely put this on my social media pages so that our district doesn't use this company again. We need a reliable resource. Thanks for this lesson.
They promote interest free finance. They billed me $1600 prior to shipment and would not take back the product. Would not cancel the shipment
Bought a used Tascam interface, they didn't bother to get new product keys for the software so I couldn't use the unit, it was still in the previous buyers name. So I am trying to return it, chats, emails, phone calls... nothing but silence, cocksuckers. I have been a customer for three years and everything was good until now, You would think they would be helpful because it would be more money for them as future repeating customers spend more money on companies that give a $#*!.
Never, never, never order from this company. They are dishonest, deceitful and bankrupt of integrity. They send incomplete boxes of equipment, then make it the customers responsibility. Their customer service team is rude, ignorant and disrespectful. Take your business ANYWHERE else.
Zzounds has a great selection and are competitively priced. They have ALWAYS stood by their products with great customer service. I've bought 4 guitars, 2 amps, drum cymbals, trigger modules, you name it, I've got it through them and I have no complaints. I actually would have to thank them for the no credit check interest free financing.
This is a good website to buy in payments but really bad website on deals, they never have deals, i didn't like it anymore
When I first got my guitar from this website, It arrived pretty fast and for first few days, my guitar is working but the electronics could've been to be put more work on because the toggle switch has a crack inside of that crucial part making one pickups work while the other isn't and my input jack was somehow not getting any connection. Thankfully, I got my father to fix these issues. As a Company that delivers music equipment, there's need more improvement when it needs to come for inspection whether the electronics or the quality for example my guitar. I'll use this as an website backup if I can't find the guitar that I wanted.
It was my first time purchasing from ZZounds and first time purchasing an instrument online. I didn't read any reviews on the company and do I regret it. The purchasing was seamless but there where issues with delivery. They state free 2 day shipping but its not 2 day its sent out ground which can take up to a week or more. I had an issue with fedex not having enough staff so was told i was going to have to wait an additional 3-5 days to get it. This was not all of zZounds fault the only fault on their part was stating its 2 day when in fact it is ground. Lie number 1. When i called and asked about this I was met with its in our policy and if you dont want it refuse it. Since this was a birthday gift and no other stores had this guitar available I contacted FedEx and explained my situation. FedEx helped zZounds washed their hands of it. WHen I received the gift a day late i took the guitar out immediately to tune and wrap up. To my surprise 3 string where muffled due to either neck, fret or nut issue. They don't check the quality of the instrument before shipping since their are multiple reviews stating the same. When i called back to let them know i got an: oh we are sorry you can return the item and we can ship out a new or provide a refund" Of course i went with the refund since i dont want to spend my money with a company who does not value a customer. 3rd week waiting now for my money so i can go buy another gift. I have never purchased from sweetwater or anywhere but this has definitely swayed me away from buying online unless the company has a location in my city. Ill stick with guitar center or Sam ash.
I purchased a Ibanez guitar listed as new. It arrived with the pick guard very heavily scored. It had obviously been played a lot, as I have two guitars I have had for years that don't show that amount wear. I contacted them and sent them photos. They offered a $50 discount on a guitar that was over $500. I couldn't return it for a replacement as they didn't have more.
Was told my package has shipped (which was a lie), never received a shipping number. Called to find out what was going on. They told me I had a unidentifiable code attached to my order. I told them to cancel my order and they disconnected my call. Called back and they told me that a supervisor would have to cancel the order by email if they could notify the warehouse. Remember they told me my package had shipped. Total scam, I would not trust this company. I'm still waiting on a cancelation email.
Very competitively priced gear with super easy payment options. Returned two amps and they were so cool about it. Couldn't be happier with zzounds and the blackstar ht club 40 mkii I bought from them. Seriously!
I have bought 3 electric guitars all made in USA and high quality. I also bought a mid level quality acoustic/electric guitar and a Vox amp along with some miscellaneous effects pedals and guitar care and use products. I have never EVER had any problems with zZounds customer service. I have always been treated very well and assisted with any questions I had. All my gear was received in perfect condition and was packed extremely well also except for one occasion everything was delivered on time or early. One time a guitar came a day late because it missed being scanned and sat on a truck overnight. The customer service has also been really great as I went through a bad time with money when my dog got very sick and I had some tremendous vet bills and they worked with me to keep everything in great standing so I could continue to purchase through them with their play now pay later program. Their prices are competitive with other stores whether Brick and mortar or online and there truly is no interest or Mark up in price because of the payment program in fact they even offered to give me a price drop once on a guitar I really wanted so my payment would stay where I needed it to. I am actually getting ready to purchase a Gibson Les Paul standard in a couple of weeks I'm just trying to decide which iteration I want the most. If you want an amazing guitar that you couldn't get without payments and you can make payments on time this is a great trustworthy company to work with no shipping fees and in some states not even tax check them out.
Shipping information is somewhat misleading and ended up with me wasting $61 w/ one of the items coming 2 days later than the expectation set by the site. Two customer service inquiries resulted in me effectively being told "Too bad. Them's the breaks." with no attempt to resolve or do anything to help improve the experience. I feel like I wasted money needlessly, and for the slight savings in price, otherwise, I think I'm better off finding a different retailer for any future purchases, seeing as how I expect better service from a retailer. I've rarely had such intense and immediate buyer's remorse.

My husband has purchased guitars from this company in the past and highly recommended them to me when I was in the market to buy him a birthday guitar. I was able to get him a high end guitar, no interest for 11 months. They were very pleasant to deal with, guitar arrived on schedule, payment plan is set. Very happy customer. THANK YOU ZZOUNDS
I ordered something three days ago. I never got any information about it, when I called today they said they cancelled my order! I asked why, and if I could get another 1-day shipment. He told me the person had mistyped my email. (They also got my name wrong on the order, "Nason" is not a common name, "Mason" is).
He said there's nothing they can do, and told me I should have read the FAQ page.
When I asked why my order was cancelled, he made sarcastic remarks, that he "understood some people don't like reading" and once again said I should have read the FAQ page. He also said he has no idea why my order wasn't verified because it's "internal to the system".
I asked if he could explain why, and he said the page was rather long so that I should just sit down and read it. I asked where the FAQ page was and he told me to look it up, FAQ and ZZounds.
So, they cancelled my order without telling me and then blamed ME for not reading a page I didn't know about since I assumed the order was completed. I told him I didn't understand why they couldn't tell me why my order was cancelled, and he said "For the THIRD time, the information you've been HOUNDING me about is all on this page".
So after my order was cancelled for no reason, they did not tell me about it, the customer service rep was very obnoxious about it, blamed me for the mistake (because I didn't read a page on their website you only read if you have questions), made sarcastic remarks, and offered no solutions. I have placed another order and if my experience isn't good I will never order from ZZounds again.
Their website is very strategic in leaving out that they do, in fact, do a hard credit inquiry. I completed my order with no issue and was immediately lead to a survey link about service, etc. I got my order confirmation, check. Out of curiosity, and because the agreement mentioned to contact them I did. Seemed to have checked out, I was told my order was good to go! About an hour later I got an email saying to contact for assistance with my order ASAP. I called and confirmed a few questions. Then a few minutes later got another email that my order was cancelled and I was declined?! NOWHERE does the website mention a CREDIT CHECK! They do mention having to provide your SSN to confirm your identity. Just when I thought it was too good to be true it was. Cool concept for sure, but very trash and misleading in execution. I'll continue shopping elsewhere for now. Customer service seemed oblivious and/or downright shady. Wouldn't recommend, and will not be going back.
Friend of mine introduced me to Zzounds about a year or two ago. Was a little skeptical at first, but now they're my go-to store. Have had nothing but positive experiences.
Great selection, relatively lenient as far as extending credit, almost always free 1-2 day shipping on purchases, and great customer service.
Their payment plan is how I was able to get my ESP mh1007et guitar, focusrite interface and Shure studio headphones. Those are just about paid off, so next up is a Headrush FRFR for my Axe FX: D
Now because Ive already had a payment plan that's gone well, they offer $1,000 in financing with no credit check. Cant beat it with a stick if you dont have perfect credit to begin with.

I bought a scratch and dent turntable from these people whose listing described this turntable with only the slight usual wear blemishes. YEAH RIGHT. I was also told in the description that it was checked and worked fine. YEAH RIGHT. When I received my scratched and dent turntable I was floored. The dust cover was shattered. It looked like it was dropped upside down on the tone arm. The working and checked cartridge was just bouncing around in the box with no needle in it. YEAH it was checked and worked. Luckily I don't give up and I found a complete unit with a bad motor and EBAY. I was able to take the parts and fix the one I got from ZZounds and finally got it working. Customer service is not going to respond as advertised but they might get around to you eventually. Be careful what you buy from them.
Trying to return anything to zzsounds is a nightmare period. There are to many other professional music places to buy equipment from one in Fort Wayne, In. Which I have been using for years and thought I would give sounds a try. Never again!
Answer: You can't start out buying a $2K guitar with bad credit. Buy a lesser model and pay it out over 4 months. I've never been turned down and have bought about $9K in guitars from them, with poor credit.
Answer: I don't know who wrote the Experian lie. From what I'm gathering from "reviews", Zzounds has/is in the middle of an outright, SMEAR CAMPAIGN. They have no "hidden agenda." They, from my end, having ordered many times and always on a payment plan, have never sent me an, after the fact, email or an indiscriminate document I supposedly signed w/o reading about interest payments are to be paid immediately upon receipt of email. You don't sign anything. You make your first, slightly higher payment that covers processing. It's prudent and wise to vet claims that just sound too good to be true, they are legitimate from this site, irregardless of the one trusted advisor who might know a lot on the subject but clearly, not everything. It's termed, "in house" credit which mean, the company itself is showing faith in you even w/o knowing or even wanting to know, your score. If you don't pay, they eat it or, depending on the amount, it becomes a civil matter It's kinda sweet when you consider (and you have) how much fraud you have, especially on the web. In the past there were many more businesses willing to trust you at your word. Because more people felt like Scarface did about the two things, he don't break for no one. Zzounds is the REAL Musicians Friend.

Answer: You can't use a prepaid card with zZounds. They require a bank issued debit card or a credit card. So long as you use your bank issued debit card that is linked to your checking account, you will not be charged interest. Or, use your credit card and pay it off to avoid interest. Your claim that zZounds is lying about charging interest is untrue. They don't charge interest at all. If you choose to not pay off your credit card balance and let interest build, that is completely your decision and not zZounds. Hope this helps answer your concern. I buy everything from zZounds on payment plans, never been charged interest as I use my bank issued debit card. :)
Answer: If you have a higher priced guitar, like say a Gibson Les Paul Standard, it may take up to 4 days, as they have to find the exact serial number you selected, rather than just ship the next one. Normally, lower priced guitars take 2 days maximum, based on my experience
