Every time I've ordered from Zenni I've had a wonderful experience! My order shows up as ordered in a timely fashion. They are very affordable and offer a lot of different features. I already have two pair and will probably order more!
Excellent selection, service and value - have ordered prescription glasses from Zenni several times
Thanks for being there!
I've used Zenni for years. They've got great selections of regular prescription frames but I'd like to see more bifocal frame options. I love how they recommend the lens best for your prescription and frame. Not to mention their prices are affordable. **It'd help if they'd turn the "try on" with photos back on.
We always order from Zenni! We love the selection and price! Takes about a week to get the glasses but it also takes about that long when we order from the eye doctor that charges three times the price!
Customer service great, however as a 4 year customer Tint options are alot more costly and alot of confusing tint options.
Hi. We are happy that you are satisfied with the interactions you had with our Customer Service department, but we are sorry to learn that you find our tint options costly and confusing. We can confirm that some tint options cost more than others on our website; however, even the more costly options such as polarized lenses and photochromic lenses are offered at very affordable prices starting at $29.99 and $32.99 respectively. In addition, customers who do not require polarized or photochromic lenses can add a tint to clear lenses for the very low price of $4.95 for a standard tint or $7.95 for a gradient tint. We hope that the information provided here is useful to you in the future and that it clears up any confusion regarding tint prices. We encourage you to contact us if there are any questions surrounding the available tint colors. We can be reached at 1-800-211-2105 or by email at [email protected].
Thank you for your business and thank you for posting this review.
Chokingly bad customer service on upgraded Blue Blocker (Blokz) purchase! I purchased one pair of the upgraded Blokz lens glasses for me, and was happy with them. So I purchased 2 additional pair of glasses as gifts. When I ordered it said that the upgraded Blue Blocker lenses would include the blue laser light to show the effectiveness of the glasses! Well, I got the glasses intended as gifts -- without the blue laser light. Now the gifts are useless -- they basically look like any ordinary pair of glasses with non-prescription lenses! I brought the customer service's attention that I had not received the laser light to show how effective the glasses were. The answer I got was less than satisfactory. I will NOT be ordering from this company again... ever!
Thank you for posting this Zenni review. We are sorry to read that you did not receive a blue light laser pen, and that you were not satisfied with the assistance you received when you contacted our Customer Service department about it. We can confirm that we sometimes offer these laser pens as free gifts with the purchase of Blokz lenses. If this offer was active when you purchased Blokz lenses, and you did not receive the laser pen, you are entitled to have one. And if you provided your order number when you contacted us about it, the agent who assisted you should have seen the offer for the free pen on your order and immediately advised the shipping department to send one to you. If this was not your experience, we sincerely apologize, and we ask that you send us your order number to [email protected] so that we can make this right. We hope you will email us soon.
I bought 2 pairs of progressive glasses, one pair of the lenses was ok the other pair I couldn't see out of them with the same prescription, as for the frames they are cheap, as they say you get what you pay for. Maybe they are ok if you have single vision, as for progressive lenses I wouldn't recommend or waste your money.
Thank you for posting this Zenni review.
We are sorry to learn that there is a problem with the prescription in one pair of glasses. We are also sorry to learn that you dislike the frame. We want you to know that all Zenni glasses are covered by a 30-day warranty, which begins the day they are delivered. During this warranty period, it is important to notify us of any problems you experience with the glasses so that we may have an opportunity to resolve them. If you haven’t already contacted us, we invite you to call our Customer Service department at 1-800-211-2105, email us at [email protected], or chat with us live by clicking on the floating Support button that appears near the bottom-right corner of any page on our website. Since the first step in determining the cause of the vision issues you experience will be to verify that both the prescription and pupillary distance (PD) measurement were entered correctly on the order, we ask that you have a copy of these items handy when you call or chat with us, or you may email them to us and we will respond within 48 hours. We hope you will consider contacting us soon so that we may resolve this matter quickly and to your satisfaction.
I'm very disgruntled. The policy states that accessories are 100% refunded, and my mistake - I didn't realize that eyeglasses aren't accessories. I now have this huge credit that I can apply to - what? More frames? Cases?
I get that that is the policy that the people working at Zenni parrot off, but when I want to know why I can't return simple frames (not with prescription lenses), like you can at your eye dr or any drugstore, anywhere really, the answer came back that it was because they might have to return them to China. That makes no sense.
The choices are good and the frames are pretty, but it feels like they're hiding behind their policy that is a stupid one in the first place. Again, it is on the website, but it's not exactly clear and since I never imagined plain frames couldn't be returned, I didn't analyze it.
Thank you for posting this Zenni review.
We can confirm that accessories can be returned to us for a full refund; however, we wish to clarify that although frames only or frames with lenses can generally be worn as fashion accessories, they are not classified as accessories on our website. On the Zenni website, the word accessories refers to items that can be added to frames or lenses or things that enhance frames or lenses in some way; it does not refer to frames or lenses themselves. These items include silicone nose pads, glasses chains, clip-on sunshades, etc. Nevertheless, we are sorry that our return policy, as it applies to eyeglasses accessories, left room to be misinterpreted. We welcome another opportunity to resolve this matter to your satisfaction, but we do not have access to your order number here on this review site, so we ask that you email it to us at [email protected]. Please put your order number in the subject line of the email and in the body, you may give a brief explanation of the issue, or copy and paste your review and we will respond within 48 hours. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Glasses are very affordable and quality is OK.
BUT: You do NOT get any customer service and the 30 days warranty is a joke!
Our clip-on sunglasses lost both screws and literally fell apart after only 10 uses and about 5 months after purchase. The customer service did not offer a courtesy replacement but a 10% discount on $3.95 plus extra shipping of $10 plus up to 10 weeks waiting time! Honestly? That's what you get from Zenni.
Thank you for posting feedback regarding your experience with Zenni Optical.
We can confirm that the warranty for clip-on sunglasses and for most components of a pair of glasses is currently 30 days from the day the item is delivered to you. However, we are sorry to learn that when you reported that your clip-ons fell apart after just a few uses, the agent who assisted you did not seek a supervisor’s approval to make an exception to this policy and offer you a free replacement, and we apologize for the dissatisfaction you experienced as a result. We would like another opportunity to make this right, so we ask that you email us at [email protected], and put your order number in the subject line of the email and we will be happy to send you a replacement. We hope you will contact us soon so that we may resolve this matter quickly and to your satisfaction.
I am delighted with your service. I received a cool Versace sunglasses. They are top-quality. Will check the Tom Ford glasses.
Great company, Great product, Great prices, Great customer service. Just over all a great site to find the perfect glasses for you.
This was my first time ordering prescription glasses online and I was not disappointed. It took me a little while to get the hang of the website but that's just because I'm not very tech savvy. It's actually a very good site and when I was finished and placed my order I received an email back that questioned one of my prescription numbers that seemed off. I double checked and it was correct but I was impressed that Zenni caught what they thought was an error before proceeding. After that it was a breeze, the glasses came in the timeframe they gave me, they were a perfect fit, the prescription was great and I love the way they look. I had spent up to $1000 for a pair of glasses in the past. The fact that I got such a quality pair for under $100 was unbelievable! I highly recommend Zenni and so does my ophthalmologist as his office originally referred them to me. I have purchased 2 pair now (one sunglasses) and both are just right.
I heard of this website 5 years ago and now it is my go to place for my glasses. The site is easy to navigate, customize your lenses and even try them on virtually. The most recent order I placed I decided to try a new style out of my norm and I love the new style choice. Highly recommend
My mom and I LOOOOOVED the frames we ordered from Zenni, they looked great, fit great and cost next to nothing. BUT! Everything else about our order was a disaster.
Between the two of us we ordered five pair of glasses: I ordered progressive sunglasses, progressive clear lenses and fixed distanced reading glasses. Mom ordered bifocal sunglasses and bifocal clear lenses. With the guidance of a customer service agent I placed the order for my three pairs at the end of March. Again with the guidance of customer service, I placed my mom's order a few weeks later.
What we eventually received three weeks after our respective orders were five pairs of glasses all with wildly incorrect lenses. FIVE PAIRS MADE INCORRECTLY out of a total of two separate orders and three different prescriptions all ordered with customer service help.
We sent the glasses back and the company confirmed all five pairs were made wrong: Five pairs, three different prescriptions and two separate orders placed two weeks apart which took three weeks each to receive. How can anything go that wrong?
Zenni arranged return shipping and took a week to tell us that indeed, all five pairs were made incorrectly. They offered my mom's order a full refund but offered my order a full refund less the shipping? Huh? That's where the situation sits for now. I will contact them and attempt to get my shipping covered too for an order made entirely wrong.
In the end, my summary is that Zenni's frames are gorgeous, their customer service mediocre and their prescription lense manufacturing deeply deeply flawed. Enter at your own risk.
Thank you for posting this review of your recent experience with Zenni Optical.
We are sorry that yours and your mother’s glasses were manufactured incorrectly. We would like to clarify that a refund does not include the shipping fee when glasses are returned to us for reasons other than a manufacturing error. However, when glasses are returned to us to be inspected, and the inspection results confirm that they were manufactured incorrectly, you are entitled to a full refund, which would include the shipping fee. Additionally, if the agent who assisted you with the order gave you incorrect information which resulted in the glasses being ordered incorrectly, a full refund would be appropriate in this scenario as well. We welcome another opportunity to resolve this matter to your satisfaction, so if you haven’t already contacted our Customer Service department, please email both order numbers to us at [email protected] and we will review the details of your orders and the communication with our agents and respond within 48 hours. We hope to hear from you soon.
Poor quality, poor customer services. My glasses are the sharpest at the bottom of the lens, not the middle, where it should be. Once you've committed your dollars to them, its YOUR problem to demonstrate that you can't see through their product. I have identical glasses from GlassesUSA and Lenscrafters without issue. The customer service response has been lacking... you must prove they produced a bad product. Save your money and your time and go to a quality provider/manufacturer. Most glasses companies would produce another pair with exacting quality checks before they mail them to you... not Zenni. The burden of proof that their glasses are defective is up to you. I've been wearing glasses for 60 years and NEVER had ths experience, this lack of trust in the customer as I have had with Zenni. They treat you as if you are lying to them. Many more reputable glasses folks online. Go with reputable companies.
Thank you for posting this Zenni review.
We are sorry that you were disappointed with the quality of your glasses and with the service you received when you contacted us. We wish to clarify that all Zenni glasses are inspected before they are shipped to our customers; however, we will acknowledge that we are not beyond making an occasional error. If we are notified by a customer that they suspect that an error was made during the manufacturing of their glasses, our first step is to request a copy of the prescription and pupillary distance (PD) measurement so that we may verify that the cause of the problem the customer experienced is not due to the prescription or PD being entered incorrectly on the order. Once we confirm that both were correctly entered, we ask he customer to return the glasses to be inspected, and if the inspection results indicate that the glasses were manufactured incorrectly, it is our custom to either remake the glasses, offer store credit, which can be used to make another purchase from the Zenni website, or provide a refund to the credit card that was used to place the order. If this was not your experience when you contacted our Customer Service department, we invite you to email us at [email protected] to give us another opportunity to resolve this issue. When you email us, please put your order number in the subject line of the email and we will respond within 48 hours. We hope that you will consider contacting us soon.
I've always gotten my prescription glasses from an optical shop, and I will continue to do so. The glasses I got from Zenni were terrible quality -- blurry, like they weren't even my prescription. Second, their blue blocking lenses which they claim on their site are among the clearest on the market, are actually an ugly yellow/green tint. So I got poor quality glasses that didn't correct my vision, plus lenses with an ugly, yellow/green highly visible tint to them. Customer service was terrible on this issue. They want to exchange, which doesn't help with QUALITY. It's not about the frames policy, it's that the lenses are garbage.
Thank you for posting this review of your recent experience with Zenni Optical.
We wish to confirm that as a result of the blue light blocking technology that is built into the lens material, a slight tint may be detected, particularly when the glasses are held in front of a white background; consequently, our Blokz lenses are described on our website as virtually clear. Nevertheless, we are sorry that the tint is darker than you expected, and we want you to know that customers are always welcome to take advantage of our return policy which allows for glasses to be returned for reasons other than a manufacturing error or defect, while the glasses are still under warranty, for one of two options - 50% refund to the credit card used to purchase the glasses, excluding the shipping fee, or 100% store credit, which also excludes the shipping fee, and can be used to purchase a different item from our website. However, because you are also having problems with blurred vision and suspect that the prescription is incorrect, you may submit a copy of the prescription and pupillary distance (PD) measurement to us for verification. Once we have confirmed that both were entered correctly on the order, we will be happy to email you instructions to return the glasses to be inspected, and if the inspection results indicate that the glasses were manufactured incorrectly, you may choose to have them remade without the Blokz lenses or you may request a full refund. If these options were not made available to you when you contacted our Customer Service department, please give us another opportunity to properly assist you by emailing a copy of your prescription and PD to us at [email protected] and we will respond within 72 hours. We hope you will consider contacting us soon so that we may resolve this matter to your satisfaction.
I bought 2 pair of perscription eye glasses, both progressive lens. The perscription was 100% correct and the lens amazing, yet the frames were horrible. The frames resemble what you would get when you buy a cheap pair of shades from "Dollar Tree" for $1. These frames wouldn't last 30 days with continuous wear. What I'm saying is these frames are not designed for everyday wear, none of their frames have spring hinges or fit tightly. Everything is loose fitting and won't stay on your face. It's a shame to have such good lens and prices yet, horrible frames. Not for someone who wears glasses everyday...
Thank you for posting this Zenni review, which gives us an opportunity to address these issues.
We are sorry that the frame you selected does not fit well, and we apologize for the dissatisfaction you may have experienced as a result. We wish to advise that to ensure that you will get the right fit when choosing a frame, it is necessary to first measure a frame that fits you well, then you may compare the resulting measurements of that frame to those provided on the product page of your favorite frames on our website, or when browsing the website, you may use the Size filter to narrow your results to only frames that fit your needs. We also want to clarify that contrary to what you stated in your review, on our website, there are over 500 frames that feature spring hinges. To find these frames when browsing, simply select the filter called Feature, and a drop-down menu will appear that gives you the option to select different features to search for. By selecting spring hinges from that menu, you will narrow your results to only frames that have spring hinges. We hope this information is helpful to you.
Furthermore, we want to remind you of our return policy, which allows you to return glasses while they are still covered by warranty, for store credit, which you may use to purchase a better fitting frame with spring hinges. In addition, it is important for you to know that on a case by case basis, we are happy to consider extending the 30-day warranty, so if you are interested in returning your glasses, whether they are still under warranty or not, we encourage you to contact us at your earliest convenience. You may email us at [email protected] and we will respond within 48 hours. We hope you will contact us soon so that we may resolve this matter quickly and to your satisfaction.
I've bought two glasses from Zenni that were similar in color, but slightly different in shape. They have a lot of different options for glasses, and they also have a camera app service where you can see in 3D how the glasses would look on you. Thankfully I found something for my small head, it's hard to find glasses since most of them are big in size. The shipping was quick and the price seemed right. It's been a year and the glasses still work great for me. I had to go straighten out one pair, as it got a little unsteady probably from me handling it roughly. Overall though, a very wonderful experience.
My glasses arrived and when I look through what should be bifocal of progressive lens everything is blurry and if I shift my line of sight ever so slightly to the left or right it get blurry too. These are definitely low quality glasses and I have tried to wade through customer service and getting no where fast.
Thank you for posting this review.
We wish to confirm that in standard progressive glasses, there is no correction near the edges of the lenses. The clear viewing area is located in the central “corridor” of the lenses, and there can be a noticeable blur when looking through the edges of the lenses, particularly for someone with a strong prescription. Due to this design, someone new to wearing progressive lenses may initially experience some difficulty adjusting to them; likewise, because there are slight differences between progressive lenses across brands, someone who is already accustomed to wearing one brand of progressive lenses may have some difficulty adjusting if they switch to a different brand.
Nevertheless, we cannot assume that an unfamiliarity with the lens design is the cause of your problems; therefore, we encourage you to connect with our Customer Service department for a resolution. There are three ways in which you may connect with us. You may call us at 1-800-211-2105, chat with us live by clicking on the floating Support button that appears near the bottom-right corner of any page on our website, or you may email us at [email protected]. Please be sure to have your order number and prescription handy when you contact us. We are certain that one of these options will work for you and we hope that you will contact us soon so that we may resolve this matter quickly and to your satisfaction.
Answer: Hi. We are sorry to tell you that we have recently and temporarily discontinued delivery to Spain. We hope to ship there again soon and we encourage you to check our website frequently to see when it is available again.
Answer: I had no problem with returning my initial pair of glasses. I contacted customer service via online chat and explained my reason for return and I was told I would receive 100% credit that could be applied to my reorder. I followed the return instructions given and kept track via USPS and the transaction went smoothly without any glitches.
Answer: Hi Reginald, thank you for your question! We do not manufacture only lenses, or lenses for non-Zenni frames. I am sorry about any inconvenience!
Answer: Hi. Yes, store credit is one of the options available when you contact us during the 30-day warranty period. And our Customer Service department will be eager to help you with the return. Please call us at 1-800-211-2105, email us at [email protected], or chat with us live by clicking on the floating Support button that appears near the bottom-right corner of any page on our website and a representative will issue a return authorization number and provide return instructions.
Answer: Hi. Progressive lenses contain three viewing areas: distance-, intermediate-, and near-vision - the distance vision area is near the top of the lens, the near vision area is at the bottom, and the intermediate vision area is in the middle. The clear viewing area is located in the central "corridor" of the lenses, so there can be a noticeable but expected blur when looking toward the edges of the lenses. Due to this design, and because there are slight differences between progressive lenses across brands, someone new to wearing progressive lenses may initially experience some difficulty adjusting to them; likewise, someone who is already accustomed to wearing one brand of progressive lenses may have some difficulty adjusting if they switch to a different brand, and they will find that it it will take some time to become accustomed to the new lenses. Despite the period of adaptation needed, we are happy to report that we do not receive a disproportionate number of complaints about our progressive lenses. However, we don't ever want to assume that needing time to adjust to the lenses is the only reason a customer could be having difficulty with their glasses; consequently, if you have recently purchased progressive lenses, and have problems seeing clearly through them, we encourage you to contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-211-2105. Doing so will give us an opportunity to address the issue and to offer you a proper resolution. Thank you for posting your question.
Answer: I had the same experience. Very disappointing. When I called about the problem they questioned the accuracy of my prescription. I was able to return them for a Zenni credit, less shipping costs. Waiting to see if the second pair is better...
Answer: Yes, it costs a little more for bifocal lenses. It does not however cost as much as it does in a typical eyeglass office/store.
Answer: None. There is no guarantee on anything (lenses or frames) beyond 30 days.
