Buyer beware

Ordered 2 pair of glasses then realized I put in a number from the prescription incorrectly. Canceled the order. Ordered another 2 pair of glasses (for less money). Zenni will only issue store credit and would not apply to the corrected order. I opted to receive a refund of 50% from the first order as I don't want to use this site again. Customer service rude and unhelpful and do not speak English as a primary language.

Beware!

If you order any of the protective or safety glasses with detachable shields, they do NOT provide a way to get replacements and do NOT make this clear before you make a purchase. They insist you spend the cost of ordering a complete new set of glasses in order to get more shields. Also, though I blame myself, I thought I was getting transition lenses that would darken to sunglasses effectiveness, but ended up with a "fashion tint" that does little to block the sun. There is a lot that is left unclear and unsaid on this site. Ironically, I could have ordered multiple shields for the type of glasses I purchased, but didn't, thinking I could order them later if needed.

We are sorry to confirm that we neither sell nor provide these protective shields separately, without an eyeglasses frame, and we apologize for any dissatisfaction you experienced as a result. Nevertheless, this order, which the U.S. Postal Service advises was delivered to you on February 18,2022, is within its 30-day warranty period, which starts the day the glasses are delivered, and during which we can send customers free replacement frames if any issue develops with the frame. Therefore, we are going to ask our lab to send you a free replacement frame 125116, with the protective shields you ordered for these single-vision glasses with gray photochromic (light-sensitive, auto-tinting) lenses and our Blokz® blue-light-blocking feature. Frames are nice and lens quality is good (as far as I can tell). However I won't order from Zenni again. When I first put on the glasses, my vision was slightly blurry and my eyes noticeably straining. Originally thinking that the glasses were made incorrectly, my optician verified that the prescription on the glasses were correct. However they said the "Optical Center" (the point on the lens where your vision is clearest) needed to be lowered 2mm.

Zenni customer rep verified that ALL of their lenses are manufactured with the "Optical Center" 1mm above the middle of the lens... regardless whether you are nearsighted or farsighted. No exceptions.

Now this makes sense if you are nearsighted and you need the glasses to drive (as you are looking forward). But if you are farsighted, most of us are looking down (toward the middle/lower part of the lens) to read. And hence the only way to wear the glasses and read clearly is to wear the glasses at the end of my nose (where I am viewing at the upper part of the lens). As a reference, I have no problems with my glasses I got from Costco.

I wish I would have known prior... I would not have purchased from Zenni.

So if you are farsighted, buyer beware...

Zenni is fast and easy to work with. I did have a little problem with getting some of the info like my pupil distance but it all worked out and the glasses came really fast. I liked the way to "try on" the glasses. I have never had prescription sunglasses before but the ones I got were great and such a good price.

I've ordered from the Zenni several times. My last order I wasn't happy with. They offered to return for store credit. After that I called and was told they would offer 50% off if I kept them. I agreed and noticed a credit of $8 dollars. So I called again asking what's going on? Upon which I was told they don't offer 50% discount. So... I told them I would give a pooe review. This is it. Customer service could be better, especially if you want to talk with an American!

Out of focus

Have ordered three times and had to return 2 times, this time I will simply not order again. They are supposed to be progressive bifocals but the area that is supposed to be clear is only 1/2 inch from the top, must look down to my chest to see. Customer service is impossible, can't understand what they are saying. Very disappointed. Website to track order said that they had been delivered to another state prior to me even ordering.

Good Glasses for the Price!

I bought a pair of expensive glasses at local optical store for $450 and bought a nearly identical pair of glasses from Zenni for $100. The only difference is the expensive glasses are lighter and customized to fit my face and ears.
