CUSTOMERS BEWARE - I booked a trip 3 months in advance and 1 month before, I was emailed that "their VERY COMPLEX software/technology" had an error and that the hotel that was listed was not accurate. So, their issue, not mine, and yet, they told me that my original reservation at the original hotel does not exist and they can offer me a discount of $100 to stay at a different hotel that their error caused. We have points at the original hotel, which is why I we booked it in the first place. After contacting their chat and responding via email, they refused to fix their problem and offered the $100 discount at the worse hotel or to cancel the reservation. What I expected was for them was not to discount an already discounted hotel, rather book the rooms I originally assumed were booked and take the financial hit that way. What zenhotels did was make an excuse for their error, offer a piss poor solution (discount an already cheap hotel or cancel), and basically leave me, the customer, back to square 1 on a trip planned months in advance. DON'T BOOK VIA ZENHOTELS. The price is VERY appealing, but their quality of service is HORRIBLE and reliability is EXTREMELY questionable. They're not very responsive and offer no solution if something goes wrong. Book elsewhere if you can. I definitely DO NOT recommend if you value your money/trip.
My dad had planned a trip for this week has tried to call email everything you can think of over the last 2 weeks to change dates for his reservation as the site rearranged the dates on him! He has sent over 20 emails and tried to get in contact to change these dates and zenhotels have been nothing but stressful and dodgy there waiting for the cancellation period to finish to even reply to him i find ripping people disgusting and the lack of communication and no help is just appalling I personally would never EVER book with this company that are ripping people off ESPEICIALLY during covid time! We have provided email after email day after day and i am just disgusted in the scam they are playing! Do not book with them disgraceful!

We had to wait for the shuttle quite a while. The check in was good and professional and the room offered everything we needed for the 1 night. Cleanliness was alright, just the floor in the bathroom could have been done better. The breakfast was good in comparison to other places we stayed at during the pandemic. The hotel has a very nice pool area. We didn't use it but it looked very inviting.
I made a hotel reservation through zen hotel and very good experience overall!
Stayed at the Thompson in DC and save $90 a night from the others in our party. Everything went very smoothly. Will use them again.
It caused me and my family so much frustration. Without knowing that they are a SCAM SITE, I booked two different rooms then cancelled them due to ZenHotels bad reputation. I booked another two rooms and cancelled because when I called the hotel they said they don't have any records for the reservations. Note that both claimed to have "free cancellation". Yet I still did not get back my money for the 4 ROOMS! I regret ever considering ZenHotels.

DO NOT be swayed by the cheaper prices. There is NO refund no matter what. Had a covid related appointment come up and was told "Oh well". Please use a more trusted site!

The worst. They will steal your money!
Paid for a one night stay for our would've been wedding night at our new wedding venue! We were so excited & then I get an email from zen hotels saying our booking didn't go through and to pay again! The payment already came out of my account and we got a confirmation number so I called the hotel just to see. The hotel had absolutely no knowledge of our booking!
I emailed zen hotels asking what was going on- they said it hadn't confirmed. I waited all day for them to come back to me but they kept saying it hadn't confirmed. Since our weekend plans revolved around this booking I was getting a little stressed and wanted a refund to be able to book with booking.com.
Zen hotels said they'd put in a "cancellation request" so basically they set us up to not be refunded by making us look like we cancelled even though we didn't. I then get an email this morning saying that we can't be refunded as the hotel was confirmed! Nobody let us know the hotel was confirmed! We were told it wasn't. Honestly just stay away from this company- now I'm going to have to go through my bank and speak to them.

We've made a reservation for a week and modified it at the check in fir just one day due to the personal family matter, Zen hotels received OK from the hotel and promised refund our money between 5-30 days, here we go we at the day 45 money was never refunded and their customer service says it's a horrible mistake and we should wait another 10-14 day before we maybe going to see the refund. Be careful before booking.

They will offer you a different hotel than the previous reservation which is a prestigious hotel at a bargain price then they will transfer you to red doorz hotel which then keeps on changing places. If you ask for refund you will never know if they will return your money back. A bad way of misleading customers. Do not hesitate to deal with them.

Never book with them! I had to cancel a booking with them due to Covid-19 and requested the refund of the money. They said it will be refunded between 3 and 30 business days. It's been 30 business days since I cancelled the booking and no sign of the money yet. It's so easy for them to take the money and so difficult to get it back. That's not acceptable!

ATTENTION! Dubious and illegal processing at Zen Hotel. Booked at Zenhotels. No bill. Invoice requested, but they set it up incorrectly, without UID / VAT number. You cannot write off the bill. Need the bill for the company. See answer:

Update: Habe immer noch keine Rechnung bekommen, und auch keine "ausführliche" Email. Wieso schreiben sie das sie mir eine E-mail geschickt haben?
Booked a stay at Motel 6 in Sweetwater, TN through zenhotels online. Turns out it was not a Motel 6, but had been changed to OYO. The pictures that were posted were not representative of the actual place we stayed. Crawling with roaches, meth heads laying around, even had a guy playing rap at the front door with a 5th of whiskey and empty corona bottles laying around him. The room didn't have a/c, phone did not work, the door had been broken into previously, and the water ran in the bathtub nonstop. We called the company and tried to cancel the reservation and they said they would open a ticket on my behalf and would get back to me. It's been 3 days with no return phone call. Zenhotels and OYO are not to be trusted!

I booked a 2 night stay for the end of May however due to Covid-19 and my additional vulnerability, I cancelled this booked on 19th March. This was before many lockdowns were introduced. This cancellation was confirmed on 23rd March and I was told I would get this refund in 3-30 days. I am yet to receive this refund or reassurance when/if I will receive my refund.
I have exchanged countless emails enquiring into this however the only response I have received has been that they cannot refund my money and cannot tell me when I will receive this money.
It angers me that people who have requested refunds after I had have received their refunds
I made a booking for a stay in London that was cancelled by Zen Hotels due to Covid19. They have kept my money they will not answer any correspondence at all. I have had to dispute the payment with my bank who are now seeking a chargeback.
