Ordered product in April 2020 and when order status is checked was told it was backordered. You also have the option of cancelling the order. Cancelled the order. Checked again in a couple of weeks and still backordered. Not cancelled. You see where this is going. Just got notification order is shipping. My next step is a compliant with the BBB.
I sent an internet order, order confirmation arrived, then I received a mail saying the items had been shipped (with no tracking number) and after a week I called and they told me first they were waiting for my confirmed address before shipping, then that one of three items was not available, then that the remaining orders were going to be rushed for me (their version of rushed orders is 5-8 business days!). I cancelled the whole order and I do not want to buy from them ever again.
I ordered several items for my nephews birthdays on May 21,2020. By June 2,2020, I still had not received a notification the items had shipped. I called them, and they claimed there was a problem with my shipping address. I asked why they did not call me, and the "customer service" guy, so very eloquently said "we are not calling our customers if there is a problem". Seriously?! You're going to be silent? When I pressed the issue, he said they supposedly send an email. I never received their email! Stay away from this company. They do not care about customers, they fail to provide even the most basic customer service, seriously Walmart is better, and they generally do not seem to care. There are soooo many other places you can buy from. Avoid this horrible company at all costs! I will be watching my credit card to make sure they do not attempt to charge me for items, which they clearly have no intention of sending. (That's called theft.)
I ordered a gift for my grandsons 6th birthday. Promised 3-5 days it will arrive. Didn't arrive now 10 days. Too late for his party will get another gift. Charged $8.99 for shipping and if I want to return I will have to pay$8.99 again. RUN, don't use them!
On hold for 34 minutes to customer service. The website states 3-5 day delivery. Talked to Customer Service Rep and he says it states 7 to 10 days delivery. I will NEVER do business with them again.
This business won't tell you if items are in stock. You'll ask for rushed shipping and find your item is on backorder. No one will tell you this. You have to find it out yourself. Also, don't bother with their customer service. I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually exist.
This is the second time I have attempted to buy anything from these people. The first time, it was the birthday of my grand children, they never delivered and after many attempts to call them they finally told me the item I had bought was out of stock. Now again the items I bought never arrived. After many calls I finally got a letter saying my address does not match my card. Crazy. They are awful. So far I have been on the phone over 20 minutes with no response.
Very upset with customer service from here. I've been dealing with a broken you they sent me since December 2019. Kept getting another delivery date for replacement. Then today a letter saying no longer available. It is an terrible letter
Not signed, not giving me opportunity to order something else, no refund. I have ordered from here for seven years. I'm done. Beware of replacement policy.
I bought 2 Christmas gifts from here on the same order and now they charge me a $14.95 "VIP" membership charge EVERY SINGLE MONTH- no matter how many times I call to get it reversed and ask them to stop charging me! They say every time they will stop charging me and now I'm on my 5th month of calling to get it reversed. Horrible customer service.
Do NOT order from this company! I placed an order on April 4,2020 (6 items for my grandson's birthday), received an email saying the items shipped on April 14 - they have still not been received on May 4! To make it worse, Young Explorers has hired an offshore answering service to keep taking phone orders, even though they have no intention of shipping the items. I have emailed and called Customer Service three times each, with phone wait times of 45 to 52 minutes every time! One of the operators finally admitted to me Customer Service was completely closed, they were just an answering service and couldn't help with orders. I understand a business interruption during a pandemic (I'm working remotely from home), but that's not what this is - they have no intention of fulfilling orders. I'm crushed my gifts weren't delivered for my grandson's birthday (April 25), even though I ordered them 3 weeks in advance. If you want to buy gifts for a birthday or other special event for a child this is NOT the place to order them - you will never receive your order!
Unbelievably horrible experience! My online order was duplicated which meant not only did I receive 2 products, but of course I was charged twice. Customer service offered a refund but told me they did not have return shipping labels "at this time" and I would have to pay the shipping to return the duplicate item. Shipping was $55. Price of the item $59.99. I called back and they told me to return the item, pay the shipping and they would review the charges and determine if a refund for the shipping was possible (but not guaranteed). Highway robbery as far as I'm concerned. I prefer to keep the item and give it away. Not to mention they remove all negative reviews from their website. How convenient!
Made an order and suppose to get a discount and free shipping. Didn't see either one. They said it would make it by Christmas it is two days after Christmas and it still hasn't shown up. If you go to their website and try their contact us option you just get a giant run around. My grandkids leave early tomorrow morning and live two thousand miles away so I guess I will have to pay shipping to get it to Phoenix. I will never buy anything else from them. The only ones more disappointed than me are my grandkids. I hope you people feel good about yourself but I see I'm not the only one you screwed. You are an embarrassment to the real toy stores
On December 8, I placed an order for my grandchildren for Christmas. Plenty of time - right? Apparently not. Have been tracking order and was suppose to b here today, December 23, cutting it close, but oh well. Got an update on order, now won't receive until December 26. Should have stuck with amazon. Will never order from Young Explorer again. Now tomorrow i will drive 75 miles to nearest shopping to hopefully find gifts for my grand boys.
I placed an order and they sent me the completely wrong order. It took over 3 days to fix for now. Before I placed the order they wanted my credit card number. Will never order from them again.
I ordered over a week paid $4.00 for expedited shipping and will not get my items until Dec 24. Funny how I ordered from another company in the same state the same day, did not pay for expedited shipping and I got it 2 days ago. Will never order from them again. Should have read the other reviews. Did not receive until December 26. Ordered on Dec 14. Now if I send it back it will cost me $43.00.
I purchased a gift for my nephew with a delivery date "by 12/17/20". I didn't get a tracking email until 12/20 that says it will be delivered by 12/27. That leaves my nephew in bad shape for his Christmas celebration. I called them prior to 12/17 to get a status and was on hold for 42 minutes before giving up. I emailed and got a response several days later saying that they needed to verify the shipping address (which was very clear from the start) and they never responded again. I paid over $14 for shipping on a toy.
Also, I clicked a button to get more info on getting "free shipping" and it automatically enrolled me in a $14.95/month commitment, which I definitely did not want. I had to call them to cancel that, which took quite some time as well.
I strongly advise to avoid this company as there are many who provide quality products, better prices and good service.

I ordered some things for xmas on Dec 17th. I assumed they would arrive in a few days. I guess I'm spoiled by amazon. When i called on the 19th to ask when they would arrive, I was told that they didn't leave the warehouse yet and that it normally takes 7-10 business days. I asked if I could pay extra to expedite it to get it by xmas. THey said they could not do that because the items were already in the warehouse. They then suggested that I call Fed ex and see if I could get expedited shipping through them! I asked ot speak to a supervisor. They would not put one on the phone. I asked then for the order # to give to fed ex. Then I went on the fed ex website and put the number in, No such number found. I asked to cancel the order. They said they could not cancel the order since it was already in the warehouse. They said i could return it once I recieve it! Ugh!
I received two orders of the exact same thing. I ordered a lot, almost $600 for my grandkids, but now have 2 sets of everything and have a $1200 charge to my credit card. I have tried calling twice today to find out how to return one set, was told there was a return label with the packing sheet, however there is no return label. I was told to take to the post office and they would negotiate with the PO on return costs, at which point I started to understand I would not find this easy to remedy! On the back of the order sheet there are instructions to return that asks for the items you are returning and price for each, however I never received a confirmation with the itemized list and cost, the only itemized list is the packing sheet. So I called again tonight, their customer service person argued with me, kept repeating over and over what he said (and their call center is in the Philippines and so not easy to understand). He said they don't provide shipping labels but he would give me the return address, said I had to pay for return of items. I got so upset I had to hang up. I'm going to try to find their corporate office number but I have learned my lesson with these folks. When I googled Young Explorers looking for a number, Amazon came up so I looked at that link and find prices are MUCH cheaper if you order through Amazon (for example, $14 vs.@$21). Also confusing is that Pyramid Collections, which is a clothing and sensuality website, is the paperwork from one of my shipments but Young Explorers is the other; they must be affiliated. NEVER again and I encourage anyone else reading this not to buy from this company.
Ordered a camera for our grandsons birthday. Payed what I thought was a high standard shipping of $11.99, then $14.95 more for two day FedEx. A total $26.94 on a $60 item. When it did not arrive in two days, called and they said it would be 5 instead! They didn't care that I paid for two day. I then had to pay for another complete order shipped directly to our grandson as we were to be there when the gift arrived at our home.
They directed me to return the original for credit using the return label in the box. Of course to complete the saga, they entire label and return form were 100% blank. Then he said just mail it to them and they would return my postage.
In the days of excellent on line shipping this is an expensive disaster! Will never, ever buy from them and suggest you don't either.
Do not, I repeat do not, order from this company. I ordered three pairs of skates for my grandchildren for Christmas. Two weeks later, I have two sets and now am being told the third set is on backorder and will not arrive by Christmas. No indication of being on backorder when I placed the order. Then, this company actually charged me tax and shipping as though they had sent the complete order! Took me 25 minutes on the phone to get them to cancel the third set (but they don't send an email confirming cancellation - I requested one so we'll see) and provide me with a credit. Fortunately I paid through PayPal so I have recourse there if I don't see the credit or if they try to charge me for the third set. Fortunately I googled and found the set on Amazon with the skate company as the supplying vendor and I'll have them on Monday - oh and they were $25 less! I will never order from this company again.
Answer: You can order from them but don't expect to be able to cancel or return any items. Can find a lot of the items in their catalog for less else where
Answer: Customer service is non-existant and if you do finally talk to an actual person they are non-responsive and do not do what you ask them to do which is why you contacted them in the first place. A waste of time
Answer: Ordered from them in the past with no problem until a year ago. Now I will never order from this company again as they do not honor any of their promises.
Answer: Sit on hold for however long it takes (mine: 34 minutes) and then talk to a rep who likes to argue.
