My father-in-law ordered a custom book in which they portrayed our blonde daughter as a brunette male, and Anne was disrespectful, condescending, and reluctant to resolve their mistake. Then, from another gift order I had to return for exchange, they do not furnish return labels so I paid $17 to mail back about $60 of merchandise…which they then denied they received despite proof of mail & receipt with USPS tracking. Both times, I was on the phone with customer service for just under an hour with 4-5 holds trying to speak with someone whose English was a challenge and was reluctant to fulfill their tenant as a customer service representative. They also do not have email or online tracking. How is this company in business?!?
I order some toys for my grandkids. The toys are wonderful, but then, they begin to charge you with 12.95 every month without your authorization. After finding out, I called and still I do not have a solution to their stealing my money. That is ilegal and it has to stop. How many people do not check their credit card statements? Since is not a lot of money it does not get noticeable, so they are stealing plain and simple. I will never get anything from that bunch of pirats.
Absolutely the worst company I have ever deal with. Ordered 2 items on Nov. 26 and received confirmation and an order number. After nothing happen for 2 weeks I contacted them via there contact e-mail address. After a couple weeks I got an automated response says they are busy so please have patience, but with no concrete information about my order. My granddaughter's birthday and Xmas came and went. I checked the status of my order frequently and it always said "In process". Early in Jan I checked the company website and it said one of the items I had order was not available. They never contacted me to tell me this. On Jan 12 I received an email that my order had shipped via FEDEX. Going to the tracking function I learned that it had shipped 4 days before, and was scheduled to arrive on Jan 12, which it did. The product, an off road stunt buggy is the flimsiest piece of junk to come out of China. The package this came in weighed about 2 lbs. and they charged 26.99 shipped from NJ to Vermont. $26.99 was the stated shipping charge for both items when I order them. The second item was substantially larger and heavier. My only advice "STAY AWAY FROM YOUNG EXPLORERS!
I purchased a Jr. Engineer Motorized Construction Set for my nephews before the Holidays and have had nothing but problems ever since. The item took over a month to reach its destination and then it was defective due to a bad motor. The unbelievable hassle I had to go through for a "replacement" to be sent was insane. And then on top of it all I was CHARGED for the replacement and never told what additional fees and or BS was involved in the return process. This company seems like they make most of their money off of customers who didn't get what they were paying for and then just gave up after 15 minute hold times and trying to get ACTUAL customer service. Long story short: You will probably want to look elsewhere, this company is not reputable.
We place an order on 12-19-21 with rush delivery for $18.94. Package received 12-30-21. We wrote customer service 3 or 4 times NEVER got an answer. I called customer service got someone in a foreign country who was no help, blamed Fed Ex and said rush shipping always takes 5 to six days. I am in Chicago the package was sent from NJ. By usps it would have cost, maybe $11.00 and taken 3 days. I am in the mail order business, if I treated my customers like this I could not afford Young Explrers
I made a big order right before Thanksgiving. They sent me an email saying the order was confirmed, then turned around and sent me another email saying that my billing ZIP Code was not correct and that my order was canceled. I called customer service to check on this they could not help me with a thing surprise surprise. Then a month later they all the sudden charge me out of the blue for that order all over again and then send the order. Keep in mind I already went on Amazon and got other things in place of this. One of the things in the original order was on back order they sent me an email saying that if I wanted to cancel I could send an email to them in which I did I canceled it. They still sent the item anyways. This took a big bit to my bank account a week before Christmas! I will never order from this company ever again.
I ordered a toy for my grandson one month before Christmas and Christmas Eve I received a letter that it was out of stock. You had one month to email me. I will never order from your company nor will I recommend your company to my friends and family. By the way I ordered the same toy from Nordstrom for 15 dollars less.
They shipped an expensive item the cheapest way and charged a lot for shipping. Needless to say I never recieved the package and I was told it was left where packages are usually left! What kind of an excuse is that I'm out over $100 with no recourse. Buyer Beware. Forced to use 1star it deserves minus stars!
To make a long story short, on November 14th I placed an order with Young Explorers. Today's date is December 6th and after several phone calls I still don't have my order, not to mention, the item that I ordered was priced at $49.95 and I ended up being charged $74.80. I will never order anything from this company again. I should have read the reviews. P.s. As far as proof-of-purchase, are you kidding? From this company, all you get is the run-around!
Toys are cheap! I did not get my entire order and half of what I did broke. I returned the toys for an exchange and never received the exchange... NOR did anyone contact me concerning my return (even after I sent them an email. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
The first order was lost and they did nothing to help me trace it but instead, eventually, after 3-4 phone calls and many complaints from me sent a second order which they told me would be credited but they have not done so and the order remains on my credit statement resulting in two charges for one toy. Their call center is obviously located in a foreign country so good luck getting to anyone who speaks English without an accent so pronounced that understanding them is virtually impossible- DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE.
They charge $8.95 return fee no matter what. I cancelled my order before it shipped. And they still sent out then charged me for return. The merchandise is cheap, smelled odd. In no way would I let my small child handle. I strongly recommend against purchasing anything from this scam company. Wish I had read reviews advising against it. Hope this helps someone else.
They get one star because 0 is not an option. I have an order number but no confirmed ship date. Customer service responds with computers are down - seriously, since 10/16? No problem last year with order but stay away this year!
Last year bought over $200 of toys. I wouold have given them a top rating. This year I placed and order and did not hear from them. Tried to contact themvia internet but site was down in late Oct and early Nov for almost 2 weeks Called customer service twice both times told they could not get to part orders but someone would call me within 24 hours. No return call. Site finally came back on Sunday Nov. 7. Finally wrote them asking am I getting my order or not. Today is Nov 11. Still no answer.
I will cancel order as I discovered that I could get everything on the order via Amazon.
I am a very unhappy great grandfather who may not get desired presents. I wrote this because I think the public shoud Know.
My original order no from Sept 11 was K6882 146. This order was cancelled because we were moving and there was an address problem. When notified I reordered with new address. I do not have that number.
Information on the Young Explorers website is not accurate. Customer service is dismal. It is very difficult to get through on the phone and they refuse to honor the free FedEx return shipping for unwanted, over-priced items.
I do a great deal of catalog shopping so when I received one of these I thought it was a legitimate and reputable company. I ordered a personalized book for my granddaughter on September 23rd and have still not received it. The website has been down for WEEKS so I called customer service. The girl was not helpful in the least. She took my order number and gave me a lame excuse that the computer system was not working and she would have to "manually" look up my order. She told me to call back at the end of the week because it would be working. HA! It was not working the following week either. Carlo told me the company would notify me when there was an update. Still nothing! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! If I could give it negative stars I would.

I have notified them that one of my grand daughters b day presents never arrived. They said to wait and then wait some more. After another 2 weeks I sent another e mail on 10-9-21 and still have not heard anything, They are not answering me.
I noticed now that the website is down. 10/29/21 merchandise was ordered on 9-4-21
Do no know what to think of this but I will call my credit card company for help now.
Very, very dissapointed
I thought Young Explorers was a legit company when I they mailed a catalog to me. I ordered a pair of walkie talkies from the catalog for a present. The ones that were mailed to me were not the same as the photo in the catalog (or the online web site). When I did an online search for a similar product from other sources I found the ones that were (incorrectly) sent to me listed as substantially lower cost than the pair that I paid for. I also found the same photo as the one listed in the catalog in another source for a similar price that I paid. I was sent a much lower quality (and cost) product than the one that advertised. There was no packing form in the box for me to follow directions for a return - I called their customer service, and finally (after lots of problems understanding the woman on the phone) she gave me an address to return the incorrect items. The shipping is going to cost me a great deal, because I'm going to make certain there is proof that I mailed the item back. I'm waiting to see if the amount is refunded or if I'll have to put in a fraud claim to my credit card.
I did not ask to have a catalog sent to me and I haven't ordered anything from this catalog in the past. The only instructions I could find was to mail them my preferences. I went to the website and it was a number of steps to be unsubscribed to ths catalog and their affiliates. It was time and a bit of work for something I didn't want. Make it easier.
This is THE MOST offensive business in operation -- SCUMBAGS trying to steal money from parents buying crappy toys for their children. They should be totally ashamed of themselves. They are not. They think that if you are dumb enough to give them your credit card number, then you deserve to be stolen from. If you agree to sign up to receive promotional emails from them, they will give you a $4 discount on shipping for that one order -- AND THEN THEY CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD $15 EACH MONTH FOR BEING A "VIP" MEMBER. To these scumbags -- "VIP" means "SUCKER". They force you to dispute the charge and cancel your credit card because as soon as you dispute the charge with them, they charge your credit card another $14.95.
Answer: You can order from them but don't expect to be able to cancel or return any items. Can find a lot of the items in their catalog for less else where
Answer: Customer service is non-existant and if you do finally talk to an actual person they are non-responsive and do not do what you ask them to do which is why you contacted them in the first place. A waste of time
Answer: Ordered from them in the past with no problem until a year ago. Now I will never order from this company again as they do not honor any of their promises.
Answer: Sit on hold for however long it takes (mine: 34 minutes) and then talk to a rep who likes to argue.
