Buyer Beware!

Joined a location close to my home in July 2022 for the $24.99. Overall I was happy with my services until my location was closed. The location my account was sent to is out of the way and more than five miles from my home. They took my monthly payment two days before they closed and refused to refund. They also gave me the run around with local store and corporate on the cancellation. They also refuse to refund the membership I paid in September even thou I am forced to find another gym closer to my home due to no fault of my own.

Total Billing Scam.

I was on a month-to-month billing schedule and they charged me for multiple months and an annual fee after I stopped my membership. I called and went into the Facility which is located on 79th st and Biscayne Blvd in Miami, a less-than-desirable area, canceled my membership AGAIN, and they still charged me. I used the facility once not including my initial visit.

I signed my son up for membership a at the beginning of 2022. After a few months he stopped using the gym. I went on a few weeks later to cancel the 25$ monthly membership and was told my son had to come in and cancel it in person (even though it was on my credit card) He went in to cancel it As I do not review my credit card statements in detail I found out 4 months later they had been still charging me. Plus one month of over 50$ which I have no idea why. They have no record of his cancelation so I am out close 2o 200$ (SCAM) Their equipment is antiquated and many members have no gym etiquette... hogging stations and leaving misc.stations. 4 stations have tv and they are all broken.

I started at Youfit in October 2020, monthly membership and
Personal training program for a total cost of $ 350,00 per month.
In July 2022 my trainer Kevin started going back to school and it
Became difficult to book sessions. Freezing classes was not
Possible so I decided to stop the training program because I
Already accumulated quite a lot of them. The month went by, and
I kept going to the gym and asking for a new trainer. Jordan the
Manager started training me to use the lessons but this didn't last
Long because at the end of August he moved to another branch. I
Asked again for a new trainer but didn't hear anything. In
September I went on vacation for a couple of weeks and when I
Came back I still didn't have any trainer. In October I talked to a
New manager named Jameson from NY asking to please train
Me. 2 weeks went by and I didn't hear from him. I kept going to
The gym asking for another trainer but nothing happened. At the
End of October, when I asked again for a trainer the director John told me that my classes were expired. I complained because I
Paid for those classes and it was not my fault if they did not
Assign me a trainer even though I repeatedly asked for one. He
Told me he would have sent an email to Corporate to reinstate
The expired classes. Didn't hear anything for weeks until finally, he
Told me that Corporate denied reinstating my classes. So I lost 12
Classes for a value of over $ 400 for the negligence of the
Management to assign me a new trainer even though I
Repeatedly asked for it. This is not the way to treat a loyal client,
Youfit stole my money. I asked to revoke my membership and to
Do so I had to pay another month and $ 10.00 cancelation fee.
Ridiculous. This is not a gym, it's a scam.

So desperate

They are terrible, the employees are awful. They are so desperate to get your money that they change the $10 cancellation fee to now you have to give a 30 day notice so they can get an extra payment out of you.

OLD EQUIPMENT!

Approximately 15 treadmills that have tv's seldom work at all! Management said they were being replaced several months ago. Now, they keep saying they have a service man that comes every other day to work on them. Management has NO POWER with corporate. RIP-OFF!

Do not sign up. Company has no integrity. You fit has zero integrity after two year membership constantly paying on time I needed to cancel as my sons membership as he is leaving for college. They have just taken this months charge, as per the contract I gave them 10 days notice, and they still have the balls to charge me a $10 processing fee to cancel his membership. If this is how a loyal customer is treated I would hate to see how a customer would be treated after a short period of time. No integrity, bad business, notice to all! Find another gym!

I was horrified to receive vicious calls from attorneys *******005 making up stories about me owing money I did not due to my cancellation in 2018 which they never COMPLETED and turn around and blame me so that they could collect money from me. Very bad company with workers who are not able to complete a task. They workers don't remain at the job because they are not payed enough.

Good evening,

I will never recommend YouFit, it's dirty and they don't open in time.
My name is Rosemary Carmona and I have been a YouFit member for the last year and a half. While I really enjoy my time in the gym, I would say that there are a few things that as a paying member have disappointed me. But I would say that YouFit at the following location does not provide its members with the best possible service, 8301 W Atlantic Blvd, Coral Springs, FL *******.

My biggest concern would be how unhygienic the bathrooms are, her are a few examples:
Fecal matter on or in toilets that have been there for a while
Piss on the floor
Sinks dirty
Here are some other complaints:
On many occasions they do not open at 5 am and make us wait or leave, depending on how late they arrive
The floor looks like it has never been swept or mopped
The weights are not grouped and finding the desired weight is not always easy.
There are not enough paper towels.
Not enough sanitizing solution
THIS GYM IS VERY DISGUSTING.

I paid for 3 months of personal training before Covid. I'm returning after Covid but they will not honor my paid up sessions as they said they expired.

This is not a very good gym.

Watch out on auto renew!

Watch out on auto renew! I signed up in December 2019, prepaid for a year with auto renew... 6 days later, I get a job offer out of the country. They said no refund as it has been after 5 days. Fine, so I go in to the gym to cancel, and cancel the auto renew as well. They call me today (Jan. 2022) two years later, saying they billed me for last year and are trying to bill me again even though I haven''t even been in their gym or in contact with them after I cancelled! The girl who called me said I am at their mercy, and the manager who signed me up has been long gone, and he didn't follow procedures... He had just started back then, so clearly their employee turnover is a problem as well.

I want to preface this review with the fact that I have been a corporate gym manager for a total of 3 years, hold a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Exercise Science, and have spent the last 10 years of my career employed by commercial gyms. This is without question the worst experience I have had both as a manager and as a member.

I have been trying to cancel my membership since the Covid-19 lockdown, and have attempted at least 5 times. During the lockdown, the business was closed so I could not reach anybody to speak to, but was charged for 2 months when the doors weren't even open. Since that point, I have spoken to managers on 5 separate occasions, with varying results.

I have received answers varying from "your account has been successfully closed" to "we don't allow this over the phone" to "we accept email cancellations" to "you have never tried to close your account." Bottom line, I have never gotten the same answer twice. I am now being told to take the matter up with corporate, from whom I have yet to receive a response. I have never written a negative review about a company, but this was something special.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT do business with YouFit unless you want to be charged for YEARS after attempted cancellation.

Rip offs
October 5, 2021

My wife paid for a year membership and was told if she ever moved to a place with no youfit available she would receive a refund. However when we moved to Daytona they refused to keep their word. We tried unsuccessful forever but they just refused to honor they're word. Plus for covid they still tried to charge members when they were not even open. Total crooks and have received lawsuits over their ways

I was ready to sign up this morning at North Bay Shopping Center (corner of Racetrack & Tampa Rd). I asked to see an exemplar cancellation form first, since I was leery of the in-person cancellation requirement. Wanted to know what the catch was. (Hidden fees?). The Assistant General Manager told me that the only way I could review the "Notice of Cancellation" form that I'd be required to use to effect cancellation was for me to become an active member, then cancel. I was told that no exemplar paper forms were available, nor does the website contain any. Suspicious to say the least, particularly in light of YouFit's history of anti-consumer cancellation practices and its prior agreement, with the Attorney General of Florida, to make such forms available. See AVC, Paragraph 9, "YOU FIT will clearly, conspicuously, accurately, and completely disclose on its website, all conditions, procedures, requirements, fees, notices, policies AND FORMS necessary for consumers to cancel their YOU FIT membership pursuant to the YOU FIT written cancellation policy..." (All Caps added, re: AND FORMS). See AVC Caption attached.

This is a scam!

Hidden fees, overpriced, anual fee, cancelation fee, if you cancel they charge You the next month regardless is months to month based. That 29.99 is a trick, if you want to take join classes they charge you a $10.00 adicional every month. Don't fall on this trick.

Scam

10 dollars to cancel and you have to do it in person or send a certified paper saying "Cancel my membership." Are you joking? Worst gym I've ever joined. Unethical and feels like a scam. Tried to reach the manager Leed at Gainesville for about 2 weeks and never heard back from him. Left many messages. Finally got ahold of him on the phone by luck when I called for him. Its one thing to charge a ridiculous amount of money that somewhere in the 50 page contract I agreed to, but on top of that I have to call 5 times to reach someone for more information? The front desk people knew who I was and the manager had still not called me. Poorly run. No one goes to this gym in Gainesville anymore and I'm sure this is part of the problem.

I had youfit for over a year and recently became pregnant. I am high risk so my doctor told me to cancel my membership as soon as possible. When i called to do so they said I need a doctors note to which i had to wait to obtain one. Not only did i get charged for my membership that month but i also got charged a 10.00 fee to cancel my membership and was told i had to bring in a doctors note. When i went into the gym they didn't even take my doctors note but gladly charged me to cancel my membership I will never get a membership with this gym ever again and won't be surprised if they start getting closed down due to other competitors i practically got robbed from this gym.
