You site makes it veru difficult to place an order to Canada. The original site doesn't ship to Canada or the US, then there is a link where we have to start all over, then it doesn't work so we start again. I spent 10 minutes placing the order.

YesAsia is a great online site to buy your favourite Kpop, Cpop, Jpop and other items in the Asia region when you live in a country like Australia, which it's hard to get those things. The only sad part is I can't always get the dvd I want in my region, apart from that it's a prefect site
So far i have no complaints if i continue to get good service i will maintain services and order more in the future

I'm buying from yesasia since 7-8 years now, mainly Japanese concert DVDs. And I'm surprised to see the many negative reviews! For me it's the best and only site to get these original (!) DVDs. (this also goes for a friend of mine, by the way)
Until now I had no problems with cancelling an order or with getting a refund. (It happened only twice though, and it took a while, yes, so it is bothersome, but worked out fine for me)
Quality-wise - I only bought DVDs and Blu-rays - it's very good and exactly like the DVDs/Blu-rays I bought in Japan, because it's the same. The standard of the ones I bought was very high (I guess, it depens on the recording studio though)
Shipping takes long though - expect your item to be on your way for one month (to Europe) if you choose standard shipping!
The prices are high, but unfortunately that's what these things cost in Japan. Yesasia is NOT a discounter! Also the price might be higher than on other sites, like cdjapan, but yesasia already includes the taxes in its price. And if you buy for more than (I think...) 40usd the shipping is free. (Some DVDs come with little gifts like posters etc. I received all of that properly packed and shipped)
I can recommend the site, if you want original items (such as DVDs) You should be prepared to pay a higher price then. And expect the shipping to be slow. Other than that I love yesasia and order/pre-order DVDs from my favorite bands there on a regular basis.
PS: from what I heard yesasia (and also cdjapan) count towards Oricon charts in Japan. Talking about fraud... For me that's a clear proof that the site is very serious!

After doing research and consulting with a few friends happy with the items they've ordered I decided to place an order through Yesasia. I placed a Pre-Order for an album. Yesasia showed the item was available for order and so the order was placed. They promptly took payment from my pay pal account within a day or so of the transaction.
A week later I receive an e-mail informing me the item I had pre-ordered was not in stock which defeats the purpose of pre-ordering anything! I was instructed by an automatic e-mail of my only two options, which were to wait five days before the system would automatically cancel the order, or to remove the item all together.
I decided I needed to get to the bottom of this. Don't be fooled. They attempt to address all issues through their automated e-mail system, but there is a 1-866 number you can find if you want to talk to a real person. The 1-866 number is tied to a call center in the Hong Kong time zone, so make sure to have your world clock app ready.
After contacting a real person and asking how can a pre-order item be "out of stock" I was told that they only get limited quantities on a first-come, first-serve basis from a "supplier" (they don't have most of their goods on hand apparently). So they basically knew they would only have access to a limited few, and instead of removing the availability of the item once all quantities were accounted for, they chose not to do so. Not only that, they charged people knowing they wouldn't be able to fulfill the order. Which if you ask me borders on fraud! This isn't the first time the company has done this! Shady business practices and horrible customer service. Do not waste your time and money like I did.
This is a legit company even though negative reviews may say it's not. It's not a scam and they don't steal your money. The only times you will have trouble is when you complicate your order by switching items, cancelling your order after it ships, or trying to do things the store policy doesn't allow. If you are smart and order exactly what you want and wait for it, it will arrive. It may come a week later, a week earlier, or on time. This is normal. If you know anything about ordering online, you'll know that shipping time varies based on the time of season. This is basic knowledge everyone should know. Now on to my review.
I ordered the EXO Growl album. I used a coupon and regular shipping. My item arrived a couple days later than it said it would (but I honestly didn't care). It came well package and in perfect condition. I was satisfied.
When you ask for refunds or you return things, that's when you run into trouble. It's complicated for the people working there. I did not complicate things so I had no trouble.
**If you have a problem with a product, learn from your experience and move on. It's your job to research a company before ordering online form them. It's your fault you didn't know if they're a scam. And always, ALWAYS read the store policy before you go demanding a refund or a replacement. Some stores don't do that. You can't force them to.**
YesAsia is a great company with lots of different choice. I got a better deal there than I did at other stores. I recommend shopping there for anyone that likes Asian or KPOP products. It's a safe site so you can trust them not to steal your money.
I've never had any issues with Yesasia and often get my items earlier than their expected delivery time. Besides, they're one of the few sites I've seen including Hawaii to take part in free shipping offers! There have been a few times when I didn't see an item listed on their website (mainly CDs for lesser known singers) and inquired about it - they've been able to meet my request unless it was a very old CD that was out of print. I think the prices aren't too bad if you take advantage of their free shipping program (I noticed some sites have lower product prices but the shipping costs make it much more expensive). I've been ordering items through them for close to ten years already and so far, I've been pleased.

The representative has no way of knowing if it's the customer's bank or the business bank. I've had this happen a few times over the years. From my point of view it gives the banking system more time to dink around with your money. Frustrating.

Answer: I've "lost" confirmation emails before as well, I'm not sure if they were just never sent or my email filtered them out and the spam folder was automatically cleared before I could resurrect it but as long as your order history page has confirmation of the order and it has a pending status on it you should be fine. Also, check if all of your items are kept in stock. If you're purchasing an item that they have to acquire first it can take 30 days or more for them to even receive the items and then prepare for shipping.
