Hopeless company

Two family members have separately bought kitchens from Wren and are massively disgusted by the service. No one answers the phone at head office. Never buy anything from these people!

AVOID! They are scamming their clients.
July 11, 2022

AVOID! Appalling service
Appalling service. They are nice to you until they get your money. After that, if you have any issues, they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICES. They never reply to emails. Needless to say they promise you a guaranteed delivery date that YOU will choose, as long as u pay immediately the whole balance. And when you do, they deliver the kitchen whenever they want, in my case 2 days later (that means i had to pay my builder for 2 days to do nothing!) and the delivery guys refused to bring upstairs the worktop cause they cant bend it so to bring it indoors! Next day the new delivery guys had no problem bringing the worktop into my flat. They also decide what time the delivery will be, am or pm. all this caused me lots of issues with my builder and also cost me money! The kitchen I bought came with defects, i was even delivered a used cabinet (someone else had it returned to Wren kitchens after they drilled on it). I sent them photos of water damage in the cabinets, scratches and scuffs, showing one cabinet was a returned item and drilled on it previously, but wren kitchens never replied. When i emailed again after few days, yelling at them, and then called them cause again they didnt reply to my email, they simply said they cannot think of how they can help me! They even took wrong measurements, overselled me mdf pieces/cut offs, and bigger cabinets, one cabinet was 800mm when it wouldnt fit unless it was 400mm! (my builder had to make a new smaller cabinet out of the big one!). Also the cabinets come with NO full instructions(obviously so u are forced to use their own installing guys) and with design defects. They also add items when u buy a kitchen, to your expense, so always read what they send you carefully. Always look at the small print because they will blame YOU for their incompetence and Wren kitchens do NOT offer compensation. They are scamming their clients off their money. Avoid them at all costs. And always use your own installer guy.

Hello Maria,

Thank you for leaving us a review.

I'm sorry to hear you feel the service has not lived up to expectations, and it's certainly something we will look into.

We've worked to develop unique manufacturing techniques, including specialist paint finishes, adhesive treatments and assembly processes. For example, our doors are manufactured using Wren's specially engineered 230-meter long production line for a flawless finish.

This gives us the confidence to guarantee our kitchens for up to 25 years.

I have raised these issues with our team and asked them to investigate.

Regards,

Kevin

As many others have stated, the initial experience with Wren was extremely positive. The ability to see and feel our kitchen choices was fantastic. That is where it all ended. We were sold a one stop shopping experience and unfortunately, it was anything but. Our design changed radically without clear explanations. We lost cabinet lighting and our frosted glass cabinets due to the incompetency of our sales rep. Our brand new dream kitchen was replaced with "what would fit". Still waiting on appliances and had to bring the ones we got, into the house on our own, assemble and place them. Sent an email to the store manager in Milford and was told, sorry, you have to call customer service!
Never, ever will I recommend Wren, Lance or Timothy to anyone. I will warn people to stay away!

Kitchen nightmare
June 21, 2022

1 week project now into 6th week with over 25 defects. Nothing done since day 3 and after emailing the MD and job being priority we have 1 phone call from an FIM saying we was not getting a visit on site and have to wait for installer to visit and list repairs(not coming till next week)Customer service put you round in circles and not interested. Taken the whole excitement of a new kitchen away.DO NOT USE go elsewhere. After numerous calls and emails getting us nowhere we are now going to trading standards and furniture ombudsman. Please look elsewhere as once you sign on the dotted line they don't care about you

Dreadful, Non existent customer services
June 17, 2022

Wren delivered our long-awaited kitchen, not noting that the built in double oven was not delivered. Instead, they sent us a poorly executed email with 'cut & paste' and blank 'fill in the space' options for them to complete, with the missing appliance, after the delivery to let us know the double oven was NOT in the delivery, giving us excuses and spiel about covid and the container ship that was stuck in the Suez Canal (which occurred in March 2021 and this is now June 2022) etc. stating that this rarely happens. Well, considering they are using a 'fill in the blank' and 'cut & paste' email, it clearly shouts that this happens a lot. To date we have been left confused, increasingly anxious and becoming ill due to 4 different people having sent us emails from Wren - some from a 'noreply' address, so you'll be hitting your head against a brick wall. It has now been 3 days and they have not helped in any way…… just making us ill. So, I'd suggest to avoid this company at all costs. Try Howdens, Magnet, Wickes, B&Q kitchens…. Any one other than Wren.

Dreadful company and I only wish that I had read these reviews before parting with £20,000. I feel like a total idiot for having been taken in by their slick marketing. My kitchen installation was begun in March 2022 and here we are in June and I am left with half a kitchen, no proper cooking facilities and a bucket under a temporary sink. Customer services are a total joke. Does nobody use the power of speech at that firm? All I ever get is 'I will send them an e mail' when I ask to about non delivery of items. I dont know what sort of training they get, none I would think. This has got to be the worse experience of my life and the fact that they get away with it is disgraceful. It all began with mis measurement not taking into account the radiator and valve under a window. When the replacements arrived they were damaged. The new replacements did not arrive on the dates they were supposed to. This happened three times. On one of the occasions they tried to re deliver when I told them that I would be away from home on holiday. Lack of communication on their part. I had an Installation Manager come round to assess my problems who told me that he was working his notice as he couldnt cope with the stress and incompetence at Wren. He told me that instead of sorting out problems they just threw more money at it. On top of all that they delivered the incorrect flooring. Wrong colour totally. Still no answers on that one. The extractor fan that they sent was an incorrect fitting. I needed an Island mounted and they sent a wall mounted. It has been a total tragedy from the start. The fact that I am a single parent with a disabled dependant living with me coping with all this stress and turmoil has put me on the verge of a nervous breakdown and I do not know which way to turn. I have no redress having paid all my money. I telephone daily, leave messages to find out what is happening asking them to please call or send an e mail, all to no avail. If tears could solve this nightmare all my problems would be resolved. All Wren give you is lip service and empty promises. Keep your money in your pocket

Very good design service, but a complete failure to put anything right if it goes wrong. The delivery was late, no boxes were numbered, meaning assembly was a nightmare and I was charged for bits that I didn't need (and now cant return)

I bought a whole kitchen from Wren. The team in the showroom were fab with planning, designing ideas etc. The problem started when the kitchen was delivered. 8 items were missing. Called the customer care line, was on hold for 45 min before someone could answer the call. It took another 20 mins for the advisor to order replacements. During the installation, found more items missing and damaged. Went to the app/online to order replacements, the system kept giving me an error. Tried calling the Customer Care line, was put on hold waiting for an advisor for another 50 mins.

Just wish that Wren kitchens would invest some more resources into answering customer calls promptly rather than making them wait for 45-50mins listening to music.

We ordered our complete kitchen in January with a scheduled delivery to be made in February.
When the delivery was made, the hood was missing and it was delivered 2 weeks later. The washing machine was also missing at the initial delivery and was only delivered 6 weeks later, essentially leaving me with no washing machine for 1.5 months.
We weren't able to check all of the boxes at the delivery (they were so many!) as that would mean that we will have to shift all the boxes and check them manually whilst the delivery was made (the drivers came by with no scanners).
When we were ready to assemble the kitchen, we found various damages which were reported via the wren app which was fine. However, for every item that it is not on the app/ order (i. E. chrome fittings, plinth fittings etc.) it takes ages to be processed and I have to wait for 7 days for someone to get back to me! We are without a kitchen (or even a sink!) since January of this year!
Now, for over 2 weeks, they are not wanting to send me plastic pieces to install the base unit chromes and making it incredibly difficult to finally finish my kitchen installation! Multiple message exchanges over 6 packs (12 units) of chrome fittings! Same situation for plinth boar fixings – I have been given 2 pieces for a 3 section kitchen (there should be 6!)!.
I have my worktop contractors booked for 21/06 and it looks like yet again, I need to postpone it before I can finally have a normal life and a kitchen which I can use! This is extremely frustrating considering how much I paid for the kitchen. Moreover a customer service person called Paige had the audacity to tell me to search my entire house for the chrome pieces - how rude and disrespectful!
NB: Being so frustrated, I even checked if I can just buy it again off the internet and I cannot find it anywhere either! Also, I just cancelled my direct debit as I did not receive a product I paid for!

Stay Away from Wren Kitchen!
May 5, 2022

Stay Away from Wren Kitchen
We purchased a kitchen from Wren in the summer of 2020.
You'll feel very important when you walk into your meeting with Wren kitchen designers. They will cuddle you, they will make you feel comfortable and you'll be fed and even bubbly is on the menu...
Our design was very challenging, nevertheless, you would expect they know what's all about and will do the planning as it should be. Unfortunately, not everything went according to planning.

It is important to mention, that the kitchen was not delivered on time and we were not updated on time about the delay.
Our installer soon discovered that several parts of the kitchen were delivered damaged. Contacting Wren was not easy, dealing with their customer service was an utter nightmare.
We've lost precious days and incurred extra costs due to their mistakes. Still, to date, we have not received an apology, not mentioning to repay the extras.

I'm happy to say that our unforgettable experience was turned into a success as we managed to turn away half a dozen of potential new customers. I know it's not much, but I hope this review will help others to choose wisely and avoid making the same mistakes we've made, buying a kitchen from Wren.

I have turned into a very frustrated and disgruntled customer since purchasing my kitchen with Wren in March 2022.
When I asked the kitchen designer about having shelves at no point where we made aware of the fact that we would get substandard half shelves in all our units (excluding the towers). Even in the showroom, none of the kitchens we saw and were shown had such useless size shelves in them.
If we had been informed of this prior to purchasing the kitchen we would have been more than happy to discuss the options for this.
I spoke to our kitchen designer and the manager who informed me there was nothing they can do this is just the size of the shelves. There was no apology until I got very upset and even then nothing has been done about it. Just repeatedly told I basically had to get over it.

I have tried ringing the customer helpline three times and have had to wait over an hour every single time still not be connected to somebody. The email I sent over a week ago has still not been replied to and I generally feel like they do not care!

It really is a shame because the quality of the kitchen is pretty good apart from the waste of space shelving that is given as part of the 'package'.
Ask lots and lots and lots and lots of questions no matter how silly because once you have purchased a Kitchen no one will make an effort to sort out any issues you have!
This should be a very simple fix and coming from a customer service background I am absolutely shocked and disappointment with the lack of care or help provided.

Unfortunately I will now be taking my custom elsewhere in the future and will never again be dealing with with or buying from Wren!

Had measurements done by their "surveyor" then had appointment with their "designer". Had to travel 20 miles to be there at 9 am. Upon reaching quivkly learned that the "dedigner" had no knowledge of what he was supposed to do.He asked me to start designing by telling him what cabinet should go where! Luckily I had done my homework for past 2 weeks so was able to plan a little but was confused with their measurements. I kept asking if they had my measurements right and he confirmed affirmative. Once the design was complete he started showing it to me proudly without even realising that the entire range cooker was missing in it! Nevertheless when he tried a second time to show the projected 3d design I was absolutely sure my kitchen measurements were messed and he quickly agreed. So he had some discussions with his manager who absolutely confirmed my doubts but the manager never came out to meet me and appologise or anything in that matter. Inspite of that the "designer" continued to ammend and shuffle the kitchen cabinets to complete it somehow?!? Which was total nonsense for me so I decided to leave. Not to mention I wasted my extremely expensive fuel travelling 40 miles to and fro but also my precious 3 hours in total.
To top it all at 12 pm I recieved a text from Wren kitchens stating my 9am appointment (which I already attended) was cancelled!
The "designer" was embarrased beyond limits and did appologize for the invonvinience caused but nothing further in that matter from Wren kitchens the so called No. 1 in the UK.

Don't be fooled by flashy showrooms and good service. Once they've got your signature on the papers and got your deposit, they think that gives them licence to mess you around and make promises they can't keep. That's what happened to us. Once enough was enough we got our deposit back and went elsewhere. Not worth it. Work wasn't even started yet and we already got stressed and messed around.

Awful experience
February 8, 2022

There are no words for how miserable this experience has been and how glad I am that it is over. The showroom was beautiful and the designer was very helpful. That's where the good news ends. Be careful and read the fine print buried deep within your contract. NOTHING is included in the price they give you - including debris removal (this includes your old appliances, old cabinets, AND the packaging and pallets your cabinets and appliances come in and on). I elected to use their licensed installer (under separate contract), thinking there would be some benefit to this. There was not. There was absolutely NO coordination between the Wren design plans and the installer. I paid thousands of dollars more than I should have had to, to plumbers, electricians, and HVAC folks because the installers literally placed cabinets over and BLOCKED existing plumbing, lighting, and heat registers. While I was fully prepared to hire a plumber and electrician to install the appliances, I was not prepared for having to have ALL my plumbing and much of my electrical moved. Regardless of measures and surveys by both Wren and their installer, no one could bother to tell me that the design created for me entailed moving existing plumbing for the sink, dishwasher, and refrigerator; moving an existing recessed light fixture (which, by the way, they simply installed the cabinet OVER the light fixture). This is only the tip of the iceberg. The quality of the cabinets themselves is decent, (although one was damaged and was finally replaced three months later), but I would not recommend Wren to anyone. And if you do use them, be sure to hire your own contractor who will carefully review the plans and work with you to be sure that all necessary pre-work is done.

Where do I begin? It all starts in the glossy showroom with a smiling designer. They ask you to pay upfront-a bad sign-then it's a disaster from then on in, it was for me. One of the most horrible experiences of my life having a Wren kitchen and the quality is substandard. Wren mismeasured EVERY kitchen wall so no units fitted and then blamed me for not measuring my kitchen and checking their professional measurer. But it got worse. If you have your own installers in -much cheaper-they wash their hands of you when things go wrong! It's in the small print-read it. Their installers are overpriced. This is NOT an English company it is American owned. Profits Profits. Only Virgin Media (another US owned company) and Royal Sun Alliance Insurance (Canadian owned) have given me similar grief. Always research online before falling for hype. I have learned my lesson!

Great sales in the shops.
But when things go wrong the head office hides behind an iron curtain
Even there own inspection recommend replacement and some four months later still no action or contact.
Please every one use an independent as you will get better service to rectify faults if any.
It took them 5 weeks to sort out leaking taps and numerous visits isjust one example

I purchased the top of the range kitchen from Wren. The designer was great, but everything that followed quickly went down hill. I was left without water in my kitchen for 6 weeks and it took a year to get them out to finish removing my old kitchen and to fix some problems with the installation (which still hasn't been finished) They also require you to pay the whole balance before they deliver or start the installation. That should tell you something!
I am happy with my kitchen now that it's nearly complete, but it was hard work getting this far. I wish I would of done a bit more research before hand.
An update... The under cabinet lights were never screwed in, just taped. They have now at least come out to look at the problem and ordered the screws. I would think they would have those to hand, wrong! It's now going on 2 months and they haven't been out to do that simple job. My lights are now hanging by the wires.
Update! After 10 months of phone calls, Wren have sent a carpenter out to fix the problems. A few soft closures are needed and a note was put on the worksheet. That was 2 weeks ago, I haven't heard anything yet and nothing has been received. I'm hoping it doesn't take another 10 months to get those posted out...
